Upgraded to this from a Kindle 4th generation. Feels like I'm living in the future

I’ve had mine since the same day you did the quick unboxing vid. It’s replaced my prior Gen PW I carry with me now. I have an Oasis I leave in my office desk in case I don’t bring the PW. I really like this version. The screen is a good size and has the warm light and just feels better.

Ah, again a great review. Honestly, I don't know how I could have ever survived my search for an e reader without binge-watching this channel. Still waiting with most anticipation for a suitable note-taking e-reader tho.

Paperwhite is great reader. Using Paperwhite 10th gen and loving it.
i got the kids edition upgrading from my 2016 kindle base. It was so needed!

My paperwhite from 2015 still runs nicely. There's a chip in the display where light bleeds out of and I think the battery has started bloating but it's served me well across years. Can't replace it now though as I'm in uni rn and even if I could afford a new one, I'd wait a few more years for better tech.
I just upgraded my 2015 paperwhite to the new signature and I don’t regret it. It’s so much faster and I love the warm light and design! For me, it was worth it and I gave my old one to my sister. You could wait tho as it’s still running nicely!

Does it have aplastic screen or etched glass? I feel like the etched glass of the oasis reduces glare better than the plastic of the paper white 4 so I was wondering what kind of screen this had.
I wonder if wireless charging would be really beneficial as you don't need to charge it that often. It is convenient, but unnecessary IMO. Also would be sick if they start to add note-taking capabilities. (Also want to enter King Jim contest )

The last Kindle I owned was the first Paperwhite. This would be a tempting upgrade, but I really want stylus support for note taking and sketching on my next e-ink device.
The Kobo Sage has stylus support and a lot of the features on this kindle besides wireless charging. But I’ve heard the battery isn’t so great
I also have a Boox Nova 2. It has support for note-taking and is basically an tablet with an e screen. The screen is 7.8 inches. If I was to purchase a note-taking device over I would get a larger screen.

which translate engine does kindle use?
Does the A7 have the extra special speaker. Does the A7 Pro CC have the extra special speaker? I know from a good e reader video that the A5 does not. But the A5 Pro CC does.

I never listened to audio books, but why would you use kindle for it? Why not your phone or something...
Just to be clear... it's an actual question...
I use my phone for Audible. On the other hand, if you’re addicted to your smartphone like, well, everyone else, using the Kindle device for it is one more reason not to pick the phone up.

I have severe arthritis in my hands and physical page turn buttons make ereaders so much more usable. I don’t understand why they’ve become so rare.

I recently purchased the kobo Libra 2. It does the exact thing as the signature edition with buttons. Plus it’s 10 bucks cheaper.
Idk what your stance is on other brands but it’s worth a look if you really want an e reader that’s like the paper white with buttons.

This looks really pretty and hardy. Warm light is something I was skipping but now I think it's a must in my next eReader.
I have done those three things.
I'm not so much of a Kindle person.... I'd very much love a device that can do more than just read books.....Onyx is my favourite by far.... although I agree that it's pricey.

I'm still stuck on whether this or kobo libra 2 is the better option. Both similar price, libra 2 has physical buttons, but the kindle software is very slightly faster.

@@TheFriendly92 actually just got the kindle paperwhite kids edition during the black friday sale. It's the regular 8gb version but includes a case and extra year of warranty for a total of $115 or so.
