Love those floating rapalas, have caught countless big smallies on them over the years. I fish a very stained water lake most often and the pattern in gold w/ neon orange back always killed for us up here for some reason. Was my #1 as a kid.

Recently caught a 50 lb blue catfish, it was a spectacular fight! Huge catfish are numerous here on lake Conroe, Tx. There's nothing quite like the adrenaline rush when you see that giant cat bend your rod all the way over and you know you've got a monster on the other end of your line!

Ik i've seen it. I just would like to see him do the same thing again in his home country, and go for different species. Big blue cats and flatheads bite more often and so are easier to catch so i would like to see him target them.
Awesome dude! I live in Houston and have fished Conroe many times. There is a good population of cats in there but that one you caught is a beast. 👌🏻

Ive wanted to see this challenge for a while, do a challenge where you use a baitcasting reel on a spinning rod and spinning reel on a baitcasting rod, it’d be funny to watch
Here's a challenge, it's what I remember from long long ago in a state far far away: Fish from a bank or shoreline (maybe a boat?) using a 6' to 10' bamboo cane pole with maybe 25' or 30' of line wrapped around the pole, but tied off at the end - so you can adjust how much line you put out.
You may or may not want to use one of those 1/2 red 1/2 white round boobbers & there's lots of baits you can use - worms, minnows, maybe crickets, dough balls, pieces of shrimp or crab, or whatever. The line weight, leader, weights, hooks, etc., all depend on what you're fishing for or where you're fishing.
