I hail from India . Yoga is really helpful it sharpen your mind and Help to control one's mind .
And keep physically and mentally Fit
It also provides Peace.
🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏
if it is so helpful, then how come we don't see it reflected in people who practise it? I'm sorry, mind is certainly not like a kite. Some people, including some with higher education, claim meditation is helpful, well, if it makes you happy, why not. Meanwhile, let's let science tell us what mind is.
@@kavorka8855 you need to learn a lot...long way to go to understand yoga and other aspects of ancient Indian philosophy
@@kavorka8855 It's nothing short of a miracle, if you know what it entails and how it functions and about ancient Vedic philosophy of exercise via breath manipulation. Swami Rama a very well established Yogi went to the US in the 70s and did things which baffled the scientists, under controlled conditions and monitoring. Creating and destroying tumours, generating different temperatures on the same palm of his hand. Neuroscience till this day has no answer as to how he did it. And he's just one of many, there are bigger Yogis than him who are not documented thousands of them. That video is even up on youtube

Not many in India follow it. It is just a myth in west that all Indians are spiritually inclined or follow Hinduism to its fullest.
A same with Buddhism but doesn't get reflected in Buddhist countries.
The example of kite he used to discribe the controlling of mind is really helpful to convey the message of pranayama to someone who don't know anything about yoga🙏
Thank you for not explaining how to do it
Thanks to BBC reel for selecting me
. Video came very nicely .🙏🏻. Happy to serve more .
Better Black Community?
Yoga classes should be a must at all schools
Yes. I'm using ayurvedic medicine and yoga technique to improve my immunity and mind control. But you should do it in a scientific ways. Learn from a yoga guru
The video is very helpful to understand the importance of pranayama in our daily life. Prana means breathing yama means control . control ling our mind through breathing.

Dear divyakant Verma … thanks for your comment. There were questions asked in the interview and answered accordingly… made video based on their own selected clips as bbc reel wants . May be all explanation not covered in this vedio clip ….. the question was something like who discovered prana or started first ?. ….before Pathanjali there was yoga …. Who started yoga first -no clarity anywhere !….yoga is from last 15 thousand years …. . It’s also said adinath is first yoga guru in Natha tradition -Hatha ….. you told to read Pathanjali … first of all who is Pathanjali not clear … . All articles quote that Ashtanga yoga of Pathanjali started AROUND and between 3rd to 6 th century. I don’t want force you to read yoga history ….That was my concern expressed honestly..just as NOT clear . That doesn’t mean that I don’t know History or about Pathanjali or sutra and all …here I felt important is pranayama not history .…. If you know this clearly please post here .…. I am very happy to learn as a student from you . I don’t have any EGO that I know everything 🙏🏻.
I can't understand a word this guy says.
Aggh! Interesting subject, but I can never understand Indian English.
India have more than 1600 languages and all of them will have different accent 😅.
But the one language who got famous for "Indian accent" is from south India.
many North Indians have quite an impressive English accent though.
I know this message is a year late but have a look at HRV (Heart Rate Variability) this is using the same principles.
There is something called caption cc

Bikram choudary 😎😂😅
Anxiety is witchcraft...
Please don’t peddle these pseudoscience claims. Did not expect on this channel.
Pseudoscience? There is literally a ton of research published in peer reviewed journals which proves the efficacy of pranayama in regulating one's thoughts, emotions and physiology. Not to mention the traditional wisdom verified to be correct through the direct experience of all who practice it.
I thought this is pseudoscience until I learned about Heart Rate Variability (HRV) , have a read about that and how it effects you then come back to this.
Breathing techniques are literally encouraged by western Drs here in Australia to combat anxiety. There’s nothing pseudoscientific about correct and controlled breathing.
I'm also ... BBC trending psuedoscience reels😂😂
