  • Cleopatra is a single foundress i caught from the wild in late March. She started her nest less than 24 hours after being caged. my plan is to compare the development of her colony to that of my other nest, started by three foundresses, and see how the two colonies will differ in their development.

Molto bello e interessante l'allevamento delle vespe, guardo questo canale perché anch'io allevo questi insetti.

I'm glad I found this channel, because I decided to try to keep wasps myself. I have collected four paper wasps, but they still haven't started their nest, should I worry about it or it's okay?

I give them honey, they only collect it and store it in their cells. In the wild they would do the same but with nectar.

@@Nikolaj14 Some wasps make honey, but not these ones. I gave it to them, and they stored it in their cells. In the wild they would store little drops of nectar instead.
