What if the big twist is that the Engineers or "Space Jockeys" are actually highly advanced and evolved human beings, that separated from us normal human beings and instructed important figures in our civilization. A insightful scene for Alien Covenant could show the engineers as benefactors of man, meeting with figures like Moses and Noah, and instructing them on their plans to return one day to help mankind in some way.
Rinstinkt Rat Yes that could be very controversial, showing a great manipulation of man. That the Engineers true agenda is a very sinister one, where Lucifer intends to send down his "fallen Angels" to earth and poison mankind (introduction of the black goo to greatly alter the human genome).

n galvan Exactly, and we need to piece these clues to our ancient past together, in order to find the truths. Only Western Govts would deny us even that! Such academic scientists and archaeologists immediately dismiss these engravings and "drawings" of what appear to be "ufos and people bowing to giants", as what they like to call "psudo-science". Instead of actually investigating these things and taking it seriously.
This is why films like Prometheus and Alien: Covenant are important because they have a perfect balance of being entertaining, but also being very insightful. They subtly explore these themes of the ancient astronaut theory, for audiences to see. I mean its like when the Matrix 1999 film first came out, remember everyone was talking about that, as much about the characters of Neo, Smith etc but also about those themes, as in the question of reality, and how we can perceive what is real?

Prometheus only refers to the deluded and very naive character of Shaw and her insistence to hang onto her beloved cross, also the mention of the Xmas tree at the beginning, other than that there are no other religious references in the film. I think its more trying to say everything man has been taught and conditioned to believe regarding religion, is false and just another means of control.
This is probably going to be better than the actual "Covenant" film.

This video is just a visual experiment of random sounds and footage. There are some hidden symbology and meaning behind the video as a whole. I love both Prometheus and Alien, and I m sure Ridley will deliver a good movie.
I have no confidence in Ridley Scott whatsoever after the debacle of "Prometheus".
Prometheus wasn't meant to be horror, it was built to provide the back story, Covenant, will be using a lot less CGI, being similar to older films, returning to its roots

can i just say that the engineers were way bigger in alien. i mean massive giants. i didn't get that from prometheus.
Lon Old Sun The deralict ship had obviously been there for millennia so the technology was probably extremely out dated, hence the size of the suit.
Or, there may be another race from a different civilization that had stolen and adapted the engineers technology to suit there needs.
+wearefromoutthere the jockey wasn't larger in alien because it had a much larger suit than the engineers in prometheus, it was just another muck-up. like the film makers weren't sure if they really wanted it to be the derelict ship from alien or not so they just flirted with familiar imagery, and still they couldn't tie in the image of the jockey at all, only bits of technology.

It's realy easy and logical, the Space Jockey was designed by H.R. Giger (the creator of the alien species), his art design is mainly biomechanic (he was also the founder of this art genre), his intention for the movie was to create a strange lifeform whose grown together with their technology, so tools and vehicles are just extensions of their
bodies! In ALIEN it was never planned, that the SJs were big humans in suits.
Watch the movie againe and look for the details:
- In a closeup of the SJ head, you see under the trunk a open mouth with tees and a tongue, also the head is in relation to the body realy small (so it can't be a human helmet).
- The head has no neck and sit on the upper chest (not over the chest).
- The chest is realy flat and the shoulder are long way away from eachother.
- The arms are very long in relation to the whole body, also the hands are very big.
- The head is higher then the seat back
- The shoulders, the upper arms and the whole abdomen are grown together with the chair.

The whole ancient astronauts bullshit (based on theories from Van Däniken) with the big grey humans in suits was just Scott's idea, whose found a new religion for himself and used the ALIENverse to spread that out!

May be the engineers are the fallen watchers or Annuna gods from Sumerian mythology in the universe of Ridley's Scott Alien.

I have a theory, that the xenomorph from original ''Alien 1979'' is a different bio-weapon used by other fraction of engineers that are on war with each other, and the group that use that organic black substance from Prometheus are opponents in that intergalactic war.
From that i know the derelict ship from LV- 426 ''Alien 1979'' is prehistoric and far far older from the ship that is located on LV-223.
This universe of Ridley's Scott Alien is very interesting and has multiple variants to explore with this mythological interpretation.

Rob Solo fortunately yes alien covenant is 10 years later after the prometheus incident I believe in prometheus scene where Dr. Shaw sends a message to earth in weyland Corp to warn them not to come back and discover the engineers and aliens species because even if you come and discover more about a far far galaxy it will only be death no discoveries, but during that scene the ship comms didn't reach to earth Comms when Dr. shaw sends it but it didn't, so in Alien covenant the new weyland Corp crew USCSS Covenant made another galaxy journey to investigate the prometheus incident and the crews including Dr shaw fate which means Dr shaw died in prometheus and left her dog tag on the abandoned ship, which was found by one of the covenant crew in alien covenant trailer was the lone survivor of the prometheus after 10 years later and discover again in another unknown living planets

I ve recoreded online text-to-speech sound and then edited it in Sony Forge Pro. I am an amateur, but I enjoy playing with this things.
Do you mind divulging what voice was used and where online this voice can be found? Really like the sound of it.

But I altered and tweaked the output female voice in the mentioned software. If you ask me to do what I did the first time, I wouldnt know how :) I often use reverb, chorus, amplituede modulation and frequency and pitch modulatons effects and tools.

Giger had many designs but most of it was influenced by Ridley Scott to a big degree. Both of them wanted to make a teansparent alien with organs visible and skull and other stuff but that suit was falling apart and revealed the actor below. Second movie really screwed up his work. The queen thing and the bulky 'warrior' aliens were never part of Ridley or Giger ideas. Their concept was based on mystery subliminal and sensual. Not action packed swarming flick. Third movie again used Gigers work but messed up his concept for the monster, the fourth film and games and comics are just random. Alien is supposed to be a biomechanical thing with metal teeth not an organic animal species with a rational understandable cycle and bee like structure. The concept is based on rape. And its form is a rape of human anatomy and both biology and tecnology. They made a fucking bee like species out of it. Giger flipped out.
