I think you gave her what she was trying to achieve but couldn't articulate. The color scheme is so relaxing.... with little pops of color here and there. I have loved everything I have seen you 2 do. But I love this the most... because of the happiness you brought her!
Where did you see some pops of colours ? Itâs colourless, like with a filter. It is sad and absolutely doesnât meet her rainbow expectations. She wanted colours and joy but less cluttered.

You can do colour. We have a metallic orange wallpaper in the kitchen but just on one wall. It made all the white pop.

I don't see any colors that she said she liked. It's always a bummer when designers do what they want to put in their portfolio vs what the client likes

I agree. She said she likes pink, orange, yellow. They couldâve used a different shade of those, not neon bright busy ones. You know what couldâve worked? If they designed her house like one of the most powerful trend right now: The Grand Millennial. A sort of fun maximalist style that wouldâve fit her so much! Her fun personality. The style they used is outdated, ârustic & greyâ Farmhouse? The house they designed is beautiful but it didnât feel like her.

This one made me a little misty eyed. She is such a sweet creative spirit but with trust and control issues. She finally let go and was wonderfully rewarded.

It looks nice but she likes bright colors, so they could have added some more.
She can add some colorful plants and artwork to the neutral palette. Maybe redirect her diy to painting or collages, etc.

They should've went with a Grand Millennial house design. Something personalized with her as the focal point of her own home. Not a cookie-cutter grey rustic farmhouse that looked like it was from a magazine catalog.

i did not see anything exciting in this transformation also it should be done with bright colours as she wanted and asked for, i guess it will be more excited for her with desireable colours .........

I know, sadly I do feel she has some deep psychological issues that need healing, I empathise with her and hope she finds some pure love from an attainable guy.

Her friend loves her so much and is thinking đ€ mental illness but he unconditionally cares and loves her. Her home is reflection of having bad contractors and possibly just not good guidance. N&J did such a wonderful job

This Reno is so sad ! They did something that they imagined for her instead of creating something specific for her.
This woman shines with her colourful mind. Sheâs cheerful, creative, no matter if the results are not fantastic, she finds her pleasure in it. She wears colours. Why take off all the colours of her house ? This is so sad and colourless, dull (I donât know what is the good English word).
Nate and Jeremiah wear casual clothes. No fun on it neither. This woman deserves a rainbow house ! đ Some people (me include) hate this monotone palette. I donât know why people says itâs calming and relaxing. Itâs not. Colour brings joy. When they show the colour palette at the shop, I felt her heart cracking. Impossible to say something in front of the camera and so much spectators. It was possible to keep a little wall of that lemon yellow on the bedroom, or use it as tonic colour. She needed an office for her creations, something very practical with a lot of storages and a real desk with drawers. I hope since the show she painted those ugly furnitures they put here. Even the table and sofa and carpets are white or cream. No one funky pillow or light !
No this is definitely a fail for me. They didnât understand their client. They just did what they imagined be normal for a woman at her age.

I was fully prepared to hate the painted floor in the bedroom, but I actually really liked it. That master bath, on the other hand, is horrible. The steam when she takes a shower or bath is going to escape into the closet area. Bad for leather. And why is the sink full of rocks??
That's what happens when aesthetic is prioritized over function. Which horrible if you apply that mindset on a highly functional area of the house.

I saw this episode and I did not like her so called âBFFâ. He totally hurt her feelings and completely embarrassed her. If youâre not going to help, be a shoulder to lean or cry on, or to be there for them period, then just go away. I felt so bad for her.
Los Angeles is lonely. Itâs hard to make real friends there. Choice is between false friends or complete loneliness and isolation. Sad but true. Agree he should learn to be kinder and she should try to find caring people.

Yes, you DID mess everything up, thank goodness you realized that. The thing with contractors - people, you need to do serious homework before hiring ANY contractor to find out if he (or if a corporation, it) is licensed to do business in the state, has good liability insurance coverage, check Better Business Bureau for complaints, check with your state's Department of Consumer Affairs or similar agency that receives and investigates complaints by citizens of fraud, etc. committed by contractors, and always ask for references and photographs of jobs done previously. And then follow-up with the owners of the homes where the work was done. How well has it held up? How well was the work done? Were the owners really satisfied with the results? Did the contractor live up to obligations under the contract? Etc. etc. etc. And finally, NEVER PAY MONEY UP FRONT TO A CONTRACTOR. NEVER NEVER NEVER. Insist, instead, even when it costs you money, to have an independent attorney or a title company hold your money in a trust account and only disburse it when work has been inspected and approved, and lien waivers have been received from any sub-contractors. Do NOT ever give a contractor access to your credit card information, that's just asking for trouble. CAVEAT EMPTOR, consumers. Be aware. That's unfortunately the world we live in today, and no - you are not being unreasonably suspicious if you think that somebody might be out to try and screw you!
I normally like what they do, but not this one.
Honestly I think sheâs a hoarder, especially when she mentioned she collects cardboard boxes.
It is a significant improvement over what she had but didn't really honor the intention of the client. At the very least, the porch could have been an opportunity to inject some orange or purple into the color scheme. A light purple would have played so nicely with all the grey.

Addressing a woman twice your age as "sweetheart" is highly disrespectful. To think about it, addressing any woman that way is. Become my partner, be faithful to me, take care of me for a few decades, be patient and kind, spend a lot of money on me - then you will have earned the right to call me "sweetheart". Coming and painting a few walls in my house does not give you that right.
Nate is turning 50. I donât think that lady is 100 anytime soon. For them, itâs just a term of endearment and I truly think they do care about that lady. If anyone is uncomfortable, that should be her. Chill out!

Sorry, I am sick and tired of grey, beige, neutrals, and rooms that greatly resemble nearly every room the designers have ever done. It is possible to incorporate soft greens, blues, and more and maintain fengshui and a connection with nature. This is boring and repetitive. Sorry, Nate.
