Except that’s not the Doctor. The doctor has been alive for centuries. Romance is the last thing on his mind, he is supposed to be stoic and cynical and he sure as hell doesn’t gyrate his hips. Just remove the title and call it something else, like Doctor Do and we’ll be right.

@@wildwomanofthewoods uhhh you are joking mate, you have to be joking. I study stories and writing as my life work. And this isn't mocking or demeaning but you are speaking without depth and understanding of the text. The Doctor has been a romantic not in the typical sense, but in a repressed traumatized way for a very long time. Every immortal time traveler has been someome the doctor has put at a distance. This falls into the writing and is even pointed out by characters as a fear. The doctor fears being alone, but thisng that's all there will be. To save from heartache and pain. You can see on countless occasions that the doctor holds back, doesn't talk or open but also longs for more. The Doctor takes companions out of fear of being alone but with awareness of danger. There is the want for family, for connection, for better communication. It was all explained for 15 being open, not repressed, and joyous. He is like that because 14 got to rest, something we see makes him happy, to have with the Nobles, a family. The Doctor values romantic, familial and friendly relationships all the same, they are a life line. The doctor has been romantic with others on many occasions. The doctor is soft and sweet and sad, and the way that implements factors in. The doctor is not all hard edge with a switch that turns to silly games. Each doctor is also different so again, even if something is off to you, it's a new doctor and a new story. That is normal. 15 is more open but that was explained right as we met him, 14 got therapy. So your point is what, the doctor can't change, people don't change? He is more emotional but not out of character, I suggest you actually study indepth character theory and how humans and interactions are a case by case basis. A lot of what he does is without repressed actions, if you don't like seeing a character be more free maybe take a look at yourselves. Are you maybe upset because the doctor was more reserved and you can see yourself in that and now it's gone? Or is it that you don't like romance, which is completely fine, but ten was hitting on people quite often, men and women and snogged a lot of side characters.
I agree that most of the vilans this eason haven't been crazy. But, the personal adventure these two have gone through is amazing. I have just loved this season so far.
I see someone already mentioned Glee, but a couple of other places you might have seen Jonathan Groff are The Matrix Resurrections and Hamilton (he played King George). He is also the voice of Kristoff in the Frozen movies.

They showed Richard E. Grant, the Doctor from the 2003 animated adventure, _Scream of the Shalka,_ with Derek Jacobi as the Master and David Tennant as the Caretaker.

Rogue is supposedly a redo of Jack Harness. That's probably what they meant as a blast from his past. Which I love cause I know Jack was amazed and kinda crushed on the Doctor in the original series and now they can possibly be together in the new series.

To be fair, I've seen the companion and Doctor split up to investigate a lot of the time. This happened a lot in RTD's previous era (which is the era I remember best, oddly enough).
People keep comparing Rogue to Jack, but I think everyone is misremembering. Jack was pretty over the top and over confident. Rogue was more cool and suave.
I think there’s similarities when it comes to the charm Rogue gives off that is pretty reminiscent to Jacks. But I guess a lot of people will link the two together because they’re imo the only two Doctor who characters (aside River) that are in any ways very similar
The doctor and ruby are so separated probably cause Ncuti was still shooting Sex Education and they probably just shot them separately to keep on schedule
That’s was the last two eps, 73 yards and dot & bubble… where shot first and when Ncuti was finishing off Sex education… I agree and disagree, they worked together in space babies, boom and the nest two season finale eps… and apparently next year they will be more traditional Doctor and companion eps and then we also get another companion joining them mid season… 😅

omg hahaha lea michele and jonathan groff never dated but they were and are best friends til this day. they met on spring awakening the broadway show in the early 2000s.

I kind of ugly-subbed when Ruby hugged the Doctor at the end when he was being to optimistic with his own situation. It was a great episode.

Fabulous episode! The Duchess was played by Indira Varma who was Susie Costello in Torchwood, the team member who went bad and shot Jack in the head. Rogue was also in Glee, my guilty pleasure. I think Ncuti was filming other things which is why there are less scenes of them together. Totally agree that they haven't worked together enough.
The Duchess is the same actor who played Suzie in Torchwood, and is also in Game of Thrones. Love her!
She put the earring to Battle mode as the doctor mentioned at the beginning to be careful what helped her correct dance moves
I really really hope Rouge comes back as his 2nd companion next season! They had such wonderful chemistry it was amazing to see!
When's Susan twist is revealed this week, who she is. her character name is 'Susan s triad' Which is an anagram of 'tardis'. So I think she is the tardis in human form :) 'there always a twist at the end' 🎶❤

I believe the flash and scream was from the Crupid being smacked in the face with the book by Ruby. I could be wrong as they didn't film it correctly in my opinion but I'm assuming that's what its supposed to be x

Rogue's "Find me" sounds to me like foreshadowing; I think we'll see him again.
I have to wonder whether Susan Twist's name isn't a clue in itself. The Susan part is obvious, but Twist? To quote The Doctor, "There's always a twist at the end."
Also, what about Mrs. Flood? Who the heck is she, and what does she know? Or should I be asking, Who does she know?
I'm in my seventies. I haven't seen any of the cartoons, or listened to the radio serials of _Doctor Who,_ but I've watched every television episode, from "An Unearthly Child" through "Rogue." Not counting William Hartnell, who was making The Doctor up as he went, or any of the one or two episode Doctors, Ncuti Gatwa is the first incarnation of The Doctor who has seemed fully in-character, whole and complete, from the beginning. He reminds me of Alan Rickman. Alan Rickman was such a good actor that I found it difficult to see past the character to the man playing the character - I see nothing of, say, Hans Gruber, in Alexander Dane or Professor Snape; each of those characters is fully realized, complete in himself, and unique. I think Ncuti Gatwa is another great actor, of the same caliber as Alan Rickman.

I absolutely lovvvvve this season and think they are doing great and can’t wait for more to come! I think people need to get pass it being LGBTQ+ and even if they don’t want to admit it….the doctor being of a race that he normally isn’t!! I thin Ncuti is doing an amazing job and is making it more modern for sure which I don’t feel a lot of people are ready for but I for one think it’s an amazing season!

Im kinda surprised they didnt hire a black actress to play the black bird alien..... we are literally doing black face here. while there was no malice intended and most would probably argue it was an alien not even a human.... ok..... Community, episode Advanced Dungeons and Dragons. Character cos-plays a drow.... a humanoid species with literal dark gray or black skin.. considered by the fanbase to pretty much be the best episode of the series and it was pulled off the air for blackface....it was cosplay. sure maybe done for shock and awe but also wasnt meant as an insult toward the black community. and no black person i have seen on youtube ever found it offensive nor did any of the black actors on the show..... just surprised they would do this as a disney production noless with todays sensibilities.... just weird.

I never once looked at her and even thought of anything you stated..not that is wrong, but it's not the first thing that would come to my mind. I think my generation could be the last generation that is not hyper sensitive on subjects. I think the actress played it fine and this was no where near a race issue
In that concept, why do blacks need to or want to play a bird, owl, or villain . People should enjoy content instead of finding the negative in things which sadly in this time many do.
