- ECOnomy 5.5 power cat. Construction and pictures from different ECO's. It is like all my designs a (ply)wood/glass fiber/Epoxy construction for amateur construction. With this popular boat, customers made extended trips to the North of the USA (Alaska). It is an unusual seaworthy boat. For more info and plans cost goto www.ikarus342000.com/ECOmotorb...

If I was to build a Cat, this would be it! Light and fast! At the moment my interest is with Scows or Prams but you have a beautiful design! Best/Roy
Thank you Roy. I like your new Crow. For my the same I would if I was not a Catamaran addict. Wondering how you fare with the Gunter rig. I follow you anyway ;-)
The sail was an old one that has a few wrinkles in it that I am working out. I am going to add two full battens that will also ease reefing and will flatten the sail. I had a similar arrangement on my old sailboat, Whisper, it worked well. I too have been watching your Cats and like the accommodations they offer. A large bed and place to sit eliminates the need for setting up tents. This is ideal! I'll never match your speeds! Lol! Best/Roy
for the 20 hp out board motor how fast could it go?
18 knots at 3/4 power. No wind and waves of course. Normal cruising any weather 13 knots
Can you offer a location for study plans ans purchase? I get a "404" error when I click for more info thank you!
Hello Steve, this is strange. I get directly to the page. But a tip try> Go to www.ikarus342000.com/CATpage.htm and from there to the ECO page
You are right. Here a direct link www.ikarus342000.com/ECOmotorboat2.htm I corrected it, but the provider is slow at best.
@@ikarus342000 . Bernd, hello. Same issue with the eco 75 study plans. Can that be fixed also. I am very interested in contacting you about the open deck design for the ECO 75. Kmclaughlin(at)espassociates.com.
how much.fresh water and fuel this can carry? nice boat btw
Why is this important to you? She is not meant for Atlantique crossing. So okay, lets say 80 liters of water and 40liter of fuel.
@@ikarus342000 well I am planing to build it someday my planing is to use it for offshore camping and I think knowing how much fresh water and fuel she can carry is important to know
@@drafdev1480 Okay, let's say it in another way. 150 kg for fluids. This would be the maximum without jeopardising the good general behavior of the boat
@@ikarus342000 thanks for your reply, really appreciate it.
