This videos is awesome
When they let Ncuti and Millie ACT, the show is great. A couple of really good scenes between them here. This episode was like a cross between Capaldi/Clara episodes and The Beast Below. It also felt like if Moffat did a Big Finish story. Though how he can sleep at night I do not know. 😅 Also, absolutely sod the kid in this episode 🤣 btw this WAS meant to be episode 2, with The Devil's Chord originally episode 6.
They're chemistry is awesome. I'd really like to see them together for a long time. They're adventures could be epic.

Did anyone else notice that ambulance knew who Ruby was but didn't know who her next of kin was? It also didn't recognize the Doctor. The Doctor has interacted with the church before. Ruby has been on Earth all her life. I can't wait to see where this goes.
Did anyone else notice that the ambulance stated Ruby's age as 3082? That's 3 times than the Doctor.

I agree that Space Babies was not that good. It was a weird start to the new series. Although if i consider the Special Church of Ruby Sunday as the first episode, then i can sorta accept Space Babies as just a not so great episode. But devil's chord and boom were really great. I especially liked Boom, really starts to show layers of the 15th Doctor. Looking forward to the rest of the season

From what I can tell, The Devil's Chord was planned to be just before the end of the series (possibly moved to coincide with Eurovision? The plan was to start earlier in the year) so that creates the anomaly that they've been travelling together for months but this is Ruby's first alien planet. Could we be seeing their adventures out of sequence?
Also, did you realise that Mundy was played by Varada Sethu, who's going to play the next companion (not necessarily the same character)?

God the tension here was insane. I genuinely don’t know if another Doctor could’ve carried the tone of this one in exactly the way Gatwa does.
The daughter was pretty annoying but then you could argue she was just in shock and denial. Everyone else did a great job, we definitely needed a darker episode with Ncuti and Millie. They both got close this episode but we still need their definitive moments as Doctor and Companion. Good work though, onwards to next week!

I really like the story, the tension is good. However, the obliviousness of the daughter was so strange I thought it was going be revealed her dad had permission to bring her because she needed constant supervision/couldn't process the world? or something? ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ don't know, It just, that kind of thing, the way she did what she did with no concept of the danger serving to complicate the problems several times is the kind of thing that makes me call the writing out a little. Also once someone says the really need to concentrate they don't get to stop 5 seconds later and have a conversation, oof 😒 but I mean it when I say I really like the episode. 😅

I loved this episode, really gave Ncuti a lot to do - while standing still! I disliked Space Babies, almost turned me off of watching DW.
This week was the companion lite. Next week's is the Doctor-lite.
