Higher Pension calculation on Pro-rata basis:
Example:
1) Date of Birth......................................09-01-1963.
2) Date of attaining 58 years................08-01-2021.
3) 60 months average Wages
from January, 2016 to
December, 2020...........................................69,795/-
4) Highest Wages from
16-11-1995 to 31-08-2014...........................45,706/-
(in the month of August, 2014)
5) Highest Wages from
01-09-2014 to 08-01-2021...........................84,320/-
(in the month of December, 2020)
6) Contributing days from 16-11-1995
to 31-08-2014:
15 days+1 month+18 years+8 months=
15 days+30 days+6,570 days (365X18)+
240 days (8X30)..........................................6,855 days.
7) Contributing days from
01-09-2014 to 08-01-2021=
4 months+6 years+8 days=
120 days (4X30)+2,190 (365X6)+
8 days..........................................................2,318 days
Higher Pension on Pro-rata basis:
a) from 16-11-1995 to 31-08-2014:
Less Wages among (1) & (2)=45,706/-
69,795/- or 45,706/-
45,706/25,550(365X70)X6,855 days=12,263/-*
b) from 01-09-2014 to 08-01-2021:
Less Wages among (1) & (3)
69,795/- or 84,320/-
69,695/25,550(365X70)X2,318 days= 6,332/-*
c) 2 years Weightage on less
Wages for the period 16-11-1995 to
31-08-2014 i.e., 45,706/70X2=1,306/-*
Total Higher Pension on Pro-rata basis: 12,263*+6,332*+1,306*=19,901/-*
Higher Pension on last 60 months average:
Total Contributing days including 2 years Weightage:
6,855 days (16-11-1995 to 31-08-2014)+ 2,318 days (01-09-2014 to 08-01-2021)+ 2 years
Weightage
(365X2) i.e., 730 days= 9,903 days.
Last 60 months average Wages: 69,795/- (a)
69,795/25,550 (365X70)X9,903 days=27,052/-*
Summary:
Higher Pension on Pro-rata basis......................19,901/- (73.57%)
Higher Pension on last 60 months
average Wages....................................................27,052/- (100%)
Difference: 7,151/-
Note: This is the example of a retired employee of Khadi & Village Industries Commission, Kochi
who got retired as Accountant. Khadi & Village Industries Commission implements Central
Government Pay Scales.
Hence, those who want to know how much Higher Pension they get can calculate their Higher
Pension based on the above example.

At now no one knows of their pension how much they will get.. we the pensioners are in the doldrums in the hands of EPFO. EPFO are playing us like a football as they are trying to retrieving from their past mistakes done with the MODI & FM guidance because our money is in hands of Modi's business heirs so we have to for some more time thereafter every one will come to acknowledge of their pensions. BJP Govt. is neglecting is,retd.employees in implementing higher pension scheme, so we should show our unity, Boycot BJP and give Vote to whom ever you want.
