If slots are hard to get in Delhi and Mumbai, why shouldn't the Aviation authorities approve more international air services from major airports in southern India such as Chennai, Bangalore, Hyderabad and Cochin (especially to Europe, the U.S, Canada and Australia)??? The focus is still on expanding air services and routes from Delhi and Mumbai. This should change.

Even people like me who reside in remote villages buy flight tickets but unfortunately we have to travel a long distances to the airport....most of the times people choose railways for domestic travel because of lack of nearby airports.... Prices are no more concern nowadays for domestic flights ... flight tickets are just 1000-1500 more than ac 3 tier tickets.... Delhi to Mumbai flights are usually around 3500 rs and train tickets for even 3rd ac is 2800 .

Secondly, men in India stare for a long time in a creepy way at women, especially foreign women. Few days ago Indian youths were very physically aggressive towards a Japanese woman while throwing Holi powder at her, they also aggressively touched her body; whereas we in the U.K. have long since been taught that the above behaviours are unacceptable; therefore it is primitive people in India who need educating.

@@Sandy-rv9tv it may depend on the time of the day, but that is the point u employee more immigration officers & security personnel during peak argument... one thing India has more of is people at low cost. Delhi airpot has always been over priced, under served. 14.5 (CAGR) 2014-2021. 132 MIL people today traveling by these airports.. Delhi Airport is doomed, there is more space for over priced alcohol and food.... than immigration / security check.
