Tata group already made a mark across the globe, particularly in England and the US. Ford motor co, USA was not enthusied to have collaboration with the Tatas decades ago when Tata was keen to make Ford cars in India. India ought to know the limitations of India in the field of Technology & strive to improve them in the time to come.
Look at the way the other three (USA, UK & France) translate the Economics of the deal to a million jobs in USA itself! Indians need to learn this point & adapt this approach as India needs it more than the others.

To produce such a 200 plus seat airplane, we first need to design and figure out the supply chain and test the prototype. Also we need more R&D investment so as a result the final amount would exceed the cost of buying this 470 aircrafts. We r ahead of others only in service sector but not in manufacturing sector. Despite tata have automobile company, the Tata's decision is gud.🤔👏 calculation.
Definitely it would take atleast a 30 years to build airplane in our country. As our current politician have will, they will have this production as a long term or mid term goal.🤗🇮🇳💥

While the deal is certainly most welcome to make AI do better and be a world leader in passenger air transportation, India might have missed an opportunity to build some if not all the single isle aircraft inside India. I think Embraer would have agreed to manufacture those aircraft inside India if the deal was substantial. Boing and Airbus may not agree. By building commercial single isle aircraft in India, it would have helped Indian engineers to get the needed skills at a much faster pace to build quality commercial aircraft not to mention it would have achieved another goal which is Make in India.

3:28 "450 manufacturing jobs " You have to appreciate prime minister's honesty. When your government is under constant pressure to perform and then you don't fudge numbers . I heard he has a finance background. Indeed .

We are proud of India and Tata Group. A suggestion, all Air India Aircrafts may have small placards inside.

They have to improve the service. Today my daughter was flying in Air India from San Francisco. The delay of the flight was around 12 hrs and they didn't even bother to inform them about the delay. She was at the airport from 6 am San Francisco time and thd flight left only after 1.40

This deal calls for exceptional improvement in logistics ecosystem across India, something governments put private enterprises through pain. The intent is very good, let’s see how the execution goes!

Before investing in aircraft’s, they should have invested in fixing the current issues. Influx of flights is not going to solve its current problems…needs training, staff, better pilots nd more.

Let’s humbly concentrate in our present. “ Hamare muh me ghee Shankar” we will surpass all the odds and obstacles that kept us behind with new loving and positive attitude for India and our people. ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️

This is what happens when you move from socialism to capitalism. Your economy, your democracy improves. A lot more privatization should be done with LIC, Railways and many more. Sweden did privatize their railway a long time back and now ask any youth of this country everyone wants to get an opportunity to settle down in Sweden.

In past, Bharat has been a market, generating profits for outsiders. Hope this is not a repeat. Not sure if Air india lacks planes, it sure lacks service. And probably we need better road infra than aerospace.
