  • Scott Mackintosh takes you on the step by step process for popping large amounts of popcorn for Bear Baiting. Bears love popcorn and it's light and easy to pack in to your site. Hunters can add Used Fryer oil, Sugar, Jello, Kool-aid, Maple syrup or just about anything that Bears would like.

I went through several air popper’s. Maybe you had more of an industrial model but the ones I got at Walmart would only last a couple hours then burn up.

Every year I buy a new one from Walmart 30 bucks. It does burn out but the trick is not to overwhelm it just consistently adding small amounts. Actually thinking I may get a few going at one time to speed things up.

How many bags of popcorn does a 50lb bag of kernels usually fill?

Great question that I wish I had kept better track of. It was around 7 or 8 if I remember correctly.

Awesome, thank you! Were you able to buy your 50lb bag in a store? I ordered my first bag online but it was $55 after shipping.

@@greenheadfolder Costco only had small bottles of kernels. I had to join Sams club to get it. They had the big bags.
