Petey Piranha Technically doesn't die since he shows up in later Mario games. Another loophole is that he was made of paint, as seen in his death animation.

That’s true, I didn’t wanna count showing up in another game though, I wanted it to focus in on the world of Mario sunshine only. The death animation is a valid point too, but I dunno, it’s debatable that he’s actually composed of it

In Pinna 2 there is a way to slip into the cannon without killing the mole. It has something to do with rushing the cannon from a distance and diving at the right angle toward the mole before he can react and shut himself in.
Also it's crazy that it's possible for the shine sprite in bianco 2 to be collected that way because I'd always thought the shine didn't have a hit box within the cutscene trigger

Huh, I didn’t see anything about doing it that way, thanks for sharing! And yeah, thought that shine was just for decoration at first, pretty wild that it can actually be collected legitimately (albeit with impossible precision).
