My first time shiny hunting was in Pokemon moon I shiny chained pichu and got it after an hour or so.

I just want to say that I've been doing a shiny nuzlocke in Sword and after weeks of looking, I found a shiny Zigzagoon while watching this
This is boosted odds they have a 1 in 250 you have a 1 in 8000.

Probably more because of the race aspect than the shiny aspect I'd imagine. You can hear Darkrai panicking in the background of the Ralts catch.

@@lloyd4537 Yeah I’m well aware. Which makes the reactions that much weirder considering they aren’t full odds or anything close to it.
Even with 1/250 odds you lose a huge lead just looking for a shiny for 15-30 mins
In a possible next shiny race I think it would be nice if you have a timer, just so we know how much time it took
Right this makes it look like it was easy to find the shinies but whole time it probably took a day or 2 of months stop resetting and stuff
honestly I think 1/250 as shiny odds is way to high. do a straight 512 (like for masuda with shiny charm) so its not imossibly difficult but not fast eather. 1/250 ist like running around with a perm pokeradar 38-39 chain. Its almost a gifted shiny.
I think the challenge is less about spending ages trying to find a shiny but trying to beat the game as fast as possible while also figuring out when to hunt for a shiny with out falling too far behind
btw i dont think the chance is that - i think it should be at the 4k thing - half the old one - but in this video it does sure seem like the rate is way higher? did they use a mod or smth?

in the regular game the odds are 1:4096
@@lat3kn1ght i think it’s the so called “chain of one pokemon “ tecnique, you fight like 40 same pokemon and the shiny chances get higer
@@carlo2591 yes there is the radar method where if you are lucky you can get a high chain (increasing your shiny odds), but at the beginning he said they have 1:250 shiny odds (for every encounter), so it must be cheated in some way
@@lat3kn1ght it’s cool and all for the video purposes, but it makes me wonder about the validity of all his other videos where he does the same thing but with supposed full odds. i only recently started watching these vids, but idk how i feel knowing the guy can just set the odds for his game at any given time.

just to put in perspective of how easy these odds are to get a shiny in this run. Imagine being on a 39 chain at all times through a run lmao. Also the size of pop off from each person really tells me all I need to know. Cute "challenge" idea and i see your working with other creators to expand a little but man 1/250? Why not lower it all the way to 1/99? Why stop there 1/2 odds? Fuck it right? Just a pinch of advice before I go is: I have a feeling you would do great playing minecraft with idiotly pointless rules that the audience will look over like you expected this to
