Nuzlocke rules:
Fainted Pokemon must be permanently boxed
Only the first encounter on any given route may be caught (dupes clause)
All pokemon must be nicknamed
Hardcore Rules:
No items in battle (only held)
No overleveling the next gym leader

Yeah, I wiped. The speed difference was a problem for me. I foolishly let my Gengar die against the Alakazem because I set up and thought I could outspeed at 200+ speed. So my garchomp got outsped and killed by hers and nothing in my team could at that point outspeed or survive her monster.

It really depends on the pokemon that you want, you can look up the exclusive pokemon on a video on or a list

I kinda love how pretty much every Nuzlocke I've seen for this game ends with defeating Cynthia through sheer luck :D Your videos inspired me to have a monotype run, too. Did it mono water, even without the hardcore aspect it was still quite a challenge! :)
Alright, I'll say it since we didn't get to see it in this run: Flying type challenge, while using Gliscor. I just wanted to see Aubergine reach their full potential. ; -;
Unfortunately you can only get it post game which is absolutely ridiculous this game should have just used platinums dex instead

For anyone trying to find a metal coat. While you can take on Bronzor for them. You can also get metal coat earlier in the game.
It's a rare chance but in the underground magnemite can be found carrying a metal coat. Just FYI. I got two from grinding them.

@@jordimartinez7956 Razor fang is postgame in bdsp, you can only find it in the battle tower. So Gliscor is a postgame Pokemon.

@@diptoroopdeb1456 No, that's too generous. 6 Magikarp. That can't evolve. So no Water Onix. Or 6 Abra. Without TMs. Or 6 Silcoon or Cascoon. Which only know Harden. Or 6 Feebas. No evolving those either. Or 6 Burmy. Also can't evolve. Or as an extra tease, 6 Manaphy but no Water moves or TMs. The only way it can do damage is Supersonic.

Just wanna say that your Steelix loves you so much. The amount of times he landed a crit wishing to be praised is so cool plus healing himself when afflicted by status move.
Nice btw garchomp was mvp at least at the end and actually I think it balances itself out as you need decent skill to get far enough to pick up the gibble and grind it up
EXP grinding is a whole lot easier than the original DP thanks to the Grand Underground, though.
Bug type is always my favorite. Partly for the challenge but also I just love bug types. They're always the cutest or coolest designed pokemon for me. Would love to see a nuzlocke run on this game with them
In the hype for the new sinnoh games, how about a run with only pokemon with original typings? That gives you the choice of two starters, the early game rodent, the nidos, crobat, and a lot of other cool ones.

Almost done watching all the nuzlocke challenges and to be honest I got inspired by the videos that I decided to nuzlocke a Pokémon game but I am trying to see which one is the easiest to go at it as a first timer. Keep up the videos, they are great
Go with water, lots of Pokemon to choose from, few weaknesses and water types are known to be bulky and have decent STAB moves and good secondary types

In my original Platinum playthrough I got stalemated with my Torterra against Fantina’s Mismagius. I couldn’t hurt it with anything but Leech Seed and it couldn’t damage me more than Leech Seed healed.
Seeing the Torterra vs. Mismagius here gave me genuine shivers.

Nice video ! One badge per counter might be too easy… considering you can grind a lot of very good Pokémon in the underground. Well ground type is generally very strong too

Any Pokémon that's slightly large gets it's size mauled if you walk with it, same thing happens with Water Onix for example.

Pretty nice. Wish I new Gligar was available when I did my ground nuzlocke. Gardenia can also be completely taken down with sand cloack Wormadam. I didn't know Gligar was available so I allowed myself to train a Burmy at that point, which had me slathering honey trees for a week to get it...

Patterrz just beat one. The only Pokémon left was No Name the Gyarados, but he won. He had eight deaths overall, three of them prior to the Elite Four.
