Everything I Never Told You looks so great!
YOU LOOK GREAT, props for putting your eyeliner on with one hand! PRO STATUS!
*bows
I watched the Italian Job like 100 times when I was younger. That is a great movie.
Right? I'm glad im not alone in this.
Your left handed eye-liner skills are applauded globally, and you're rocking the sling :) I hope you feel loads better soon, and enjoy your recovery reading! x
"I'm opening this cuz I need to touch it with my body. Wut?"
XD
Regan watching this book haul is like eating tubs of chocolate covered popcorn. THE COVERS ARE SO PRETTY.
"Getting out of hand" haha I see what you did there!!
The Winner's Curse is absolutely amazing. I really, really enjoyed it. It's one of those books that makes you think about who's right and who's wrong, and I think it makes you think about perspective.
Haha I'm the same way with historical fiction preferences! I love the court intrigue and pretty dresses and drama :)
I'm not a fan of YA so I'm really excited to have more adult novels to read since I trust your judgment :)
*clapping hands* for the eyeliner, I wouldn't have been able to do it left handed. Bravo!
"I'm opening this 'cause I need to touch it with my body." Beautiful.
I applaud your eyeliners skills man, that is AMAZING. Glad to see you alive and kicking, looks like everything went okay! You are rocking that sling like a boss by the way.
War Of Wings has an awesome book cover, and damn Regan if you keep lifting all these big books your gunna have one seriously buff arm!
Madame Bovary is one of my favourites classics. It's so beautifully written... Floubert was a genious
*Flaubert (sorry, as a French I just couldn't not correct that, sorry again)
Nice job on the make-up with the left hand!
OMG Burial Rites is sooo sooo sooo good. I just finished it. So good. Cried at the goodness. *anxiously flutters hands*
The Winner's Curse was actually really worthwhile as well. I was surprised.
Those Penguin Drop Classics are SO BEAUTIFUL. The Crane Wife sounds very reminiscent of Swan Lake so I will for sure be checking that one out!
Wishing you a speedy recovery!
A tale for the time being is absolutely amazing! So glad its getting out there
I get excited when I see the haul is over 10 minutes :)
Heal well girly! Rest up and enjoy the extra reading time! This was a great haul to return to watching booktube to btw :D
I was also madly in love with the Italian Job when it came out. I remember checking it out from my library practically every week. So good! I'm not sure why it's so good...it just is!
A Constellation of Vital Phenomena is sooooo good. Can't wait to hear how you like it. It's one of those books that almost hurts to read, but you don't know how you'll go on when you're done. Instant fave of mine.
*watches video* *adds so many books to my to-read list*
I swear to god you are my favorite booktuber! You're gorgeous and hilarious and awesome. Have a great day!
I can't even explain how much I love The Scorpio Races, it's phenomenal. Just one thing though: the story is not really about the race, it's more about the life in the island of Thisby. So don't start reading it expecting loads of action because you won't find it! The characterization is the high point of this novel I think... I hope you like it!
Eyeliner with only the left hand?? Whoooaa, you go girl!!!
The Falconer looks like it could be quite good! Loved the cover!
Great haul, I put myself on a book buying ban for July so I can't wait to buy some books in August! (Squeals with excitement)
Also, hope the shoulder is healing swiftly! Surgery sucks!
The Winners Curse is honestly such an amazing book, its one of my favs! I really think you'll love it!!!
You're hilarious and I freaking love it!!! Really liking the more adult books you've been into!! It's fun to switch it up :)
I'm totally impressed with your post-operation attitude :)
Heal up quick and enjoy your books! Love your videos.
SCORPIO RACES!! Oooh, read that next; it's fantastic, and doesn't get nearly as much love as it deserves.
I always feel kind of guilty about my monthly hauls...but then I watch yours and feel much better about myself. It's nice to know I am not the only person in the world with such a book addiction.
THIS EDITION OF BURIAL RITES IS SO SO GORGEOUS!
Makes me wanna buy even though I'm not even sure if I'll like it.
tarnish and brazen! I love historical fiction drama as well! there's a third book that came out first called gilt and the covers match and they're so pretty on the shelf. i love your book hauls.
Peruseproject + book haul = best videos!
"I want to touch it with my body WHAT?" Had to pause the video so I could crack up haha
The Falconer was really cool. The author also takes really beautiful pictures of the Scottish country side.
You're gonna love Burial Rites. I am all kinds of jealous of your edition, by the way. Also, the writing style of A Tale for the Time Being is hilarious. I picked it up last summer & put it down for a while, but want to read it again soon. I hope you're feeling better!!
Super excited that you started reading more adult fiction books! I'll be waiting for some recommendations then :) I trust you with this Regan!
"The middle child dies and it's so great" why did that make me laugh 😂
Oooh, if Brazen and Tarnish are good, then I will for sure pick those up. Also, I got A Tale for the Time Being for Christmas and I still haven't picked it up x_x. Will have to do that soon as it does sound pretty fantastic. I hope you're healing up well!
I love how often you wear that necklace, haha. I feel as though I made an amazing decision there! I also really want to read Kiss of Deception!
A. Glad the surgery went well!Get better soon!
B. I am Patrick Ness obsessed!! Lol
Historical gossip girly novels are my guilty pleasure too. The Luxe series is a really good guilty pleasure read that falls under that category.
Your eyeliner looks AMAZING!!! Heal quickly!!! (:
The Kiss of Deception sounds so good! Definitely going to buy it as soon as possible!
The Winners Curse is AMAZING! It's one of my favorite books!
you have amazing taste in books (especially maggie stiefvater) and music taste (bastille) so congrats on that. and the fact that you did your eyeliner with your left hand! i can't even put my eyeliner on with my right hand haha xoxo
Oh and A Tale for the Time Being was amazing!
Those covers though, GORGEOUS. I am really interested in Midwinterblood and Burial Rites, especially since the latter is apparently being turned into a movie with Jennifer Lawrence
You got some real awesome books! I'm so excited to read Kiss of Deception, it looks amazing!
One handed eyeliner! *high five* I've heard so many great things about the Bronze Horseman trilogy. I need to buy it already!
Regan's bookhauls aka I had 3 thousand books to my wishlist :P
I actually applauded you when you said that you did your eyeliner with your left hand, cause I can't do it properly even with my right hand :)
All of the covers of these books look amazing! As does your eyeliner of course (:
Ughhhh now I want to buy ALL OF THE BOOKS!!!! :)
I'm a makeup artist and I couldn't do my eyeliner with only one hand let alone my left hand. Very impressed!!!
Winner's Curse is so so so so GOOD! You will love it.
i love your book hauls!
and eyeliner with one hand? i can't even put it on properly with two, skills.
Yes. Yes. Yes. Night Film!! It's def not set in the 1920's BUT it's wonderful! GET THE PHONE APP FOR IT! It gives extra content. I LOVED IT.
''The middle child dies and it's so great''
Well,okey then...
I hope your shoulder heals up fast. Awesone book haul.
Thanks a lot for showing my ow beautiful the penguin drop caps are..... I just went and bought three if them hahaha.
*applauds superior left hand eye-lining skills*
I hope you are doing well! Also 5 out 5 stars on your eyeliner.
The cover of The Winners Curse looks amazing, I want it. Penguin Drop editions are so beautiful.
You're right that Night Film is great, but it's not set in 1920's. It's set in modern day. It's still a fantastic read and one of my all time favorites!!
I just read Burial Rites earlier in the month and thought it was SO good. Depressing and devastatingly beautiful, I hope you enjoy it.
i'm just about to read some Patrick Ness :) i loved this book haul!
you inspired my July book haul
Just got the Bronze Horseman for my birthday this month; So excited!!! I am on a huge historical fiction kick right now. I'm going to check out Tarnished and Burial Rights. They sound great! Get well soon!
Hope you have a speedy recovery and get alot of reading done. Hope you have some easier books you can hold.
I finished The Scorpio Races not long ago and it is a really special book. So different and amazing!
I've heard such great things about The Falconer. Can't wait to hear your thoughts. The cover for A Constellation of Vital Phenomena so is gorgeous! I would buy that for the cover alone. I saw Midwinterblood a few weeks ago and for some reason thought I had heard bad reviews on it. I'm going to have to pick it up now.
I applaud your eyeliner skill. After years of practice I can barely do my eyeliner with my right hand.
Great haul! A Constellation of Vital Phenomena is one of my favorite books ever - I hope you'll enjoy it :)
ah marcus sedgwick came to my school once and gave a talk - it was really cool hearing him speak about writing!
Loved night film such a great read and surprisingly quick to read considering its size. :) hope you arm is feeling better.
So many beautiful books :) PS late night book buying is my thing too haha
A Tale For The Time Being was phenomenal!!!
You should read Cloud Atlas, it's like Midwinterblood, in that it's got the different time lines/stories that all add up in the end. I would defiantly read it...and then watch the movie. :D
And heal well!! Be praying for ya girl!!
Oh! & the kids of deception sounds amazing!
Kiss*
Oh, I like the new cover of Scorpio Races. I'm not a huge fan of her books though. Wow, I love that Penguin classic edition, so pretty!!!! Loving your haul. Quite a few goodies I want to get, but on a serious ban after my last haul, lol (I had like 40 books!).
What did you need to get an operation on??? :0 I hope you're well!
(and if I've completely missed a video/announcement where you tell us about this, I apologize XD)
Also left hand eyeliner 10/10. I can't even do that with my right hand.
On my shoulder!
Night film was really cool. There's an app that will allow you to scan some of the pages for extra info.
I'm very jealous of all the books you have!! I need more money to buy them all!
Tarnish! Brazen! Just read them earlier this month, SO GOOD!!!! :)
Night Film is amazing I just finished it. Super quick read considering its like a 600 page book. It's not actually set in the 20s it's set in present day but that turn you off to reading it cause it's still really good.
Ahhh Tatiana and Alexander and The Summer Garden! Tatiana and Alexander is very emotionally draining, but it's awesome anyway!
I read Night film last year and loved it, its kinda creepy but not too creepy, its a brilliant book, has you hooked from the beginning.
The Kiss of Deception is really on a high hype right now! I have a copy but havent read it yet... I hope there's a readalong or something with it!!! I'm reallg looking forward to the book too:)
I just watched further into this video and discovered your badass left-handed eyeliner skills and figured those deserved another comment, because holy crap, are you a wizard?
The Falconer is FANTASTIC. There's a #swoonworthy male fae character!
i've
ecently read Night Film. Soooo good! That Burial Rites edition is such an eye candy GAH! so many great books Regan! xoxo LOVE IT. get well soon and good luck on physical therapy :)
I read A Tale for the Time Being a few months ago and I really loved it. I saw it in a few hauls on booktube, but I don't quite remember seeing it in many reviews. Anyway, I think it would appeal to both YA readers and adult readers because you get Naoko's diary, and she's sixteen at the time, and then you also get Ruth, and I think she's in her forties.
The crane wife is a folk tale originally. I think that's where the idea for the book comes from but I'm not positive. There are two (or 3?) absolutely beautiful songs by The Decemberists about the tale :)
A Tale for the Time Being is beautiful! I really liked it! I hope you like it!
ahhhh i lovelove the winners curse!! dreams of gods and monsters was phenomenal as well! although fantasy is my favourite genre, i unforunately didn't enjoy the kiss of deception... maybe you'll have better luck with it!
Just so you know, there's a first book that goes with Tarnish and Brazen called Gilt :) It's been on my shelf for a while and I just bought Tarnish, so I'm hoping to read them soon!
Night Film does not take place in the 1920's. It takes place in modern day New York City and state.
I wouldn't really compare Lexicon to X-Men because it's more about word manipulation than anything else. I have a review of it, if you want to check it out (there are no spoilers). I'd be curious to see what you think.
You should read 'The Rosie Project' by Graeme Simsion. It's amazing!
I actually applauded you because SUCH SKILLS
Hahaha "was ist das?" Love when you talk German!
Your eyeliner with your opposite hand is better than when I put my eyeliner on with my normal hand. I'm quite jealous
Fantastic book haul, as always! Also, Night Film is not actually set in the 1920's, I'm pretty sure it's present day!
