Abigail Purdy I love this serie so much. I discovered it on Netflix and i was so disappointed to see that it had been cancelled. First with selfie and then this... FML.
All the lyrics show he doesn't have any idea how the things work (like the grapes to beer bit), but I watched both seasons as they aired and listen to the soundtrack regularly and only *JUST* noticed the extra visual joke with the goats and pigs during this watch myself. xD
He also said he'd be planting 'greens' while flicking the orange carrot with his finger. But probably the funniest is that his big objection to being a blacksmith is that he'd get dirty then goes to being a farmer. I get plenty dirty working a back yard garden, let alone a farm.
Richard and Tad Cooper will swoop in and save the day in the new Godzilla movie. It says right in the commercials that there will be only one true king, and Richard has the sword.
After being furloughed due to COVID-19 I watched Galavant for the first time and I completely identified with Richard. Having basically defined myself by my job for the past 9 yrs I suddenly found myself without it and trying to function in the world. These writers are amazing and Tim Omundson makes Richard so relatable that it’s scary. This show was amazing.
Why is this the most relatable comment? Just know you are more than your job, that is merely a small portion of who you are. You always have room to grow and learn new skills, the ability to become the person you wanna be. Sure, it’s easier with money and a degree, but even if you were trying without those things, it’s always possible. Hang in there, man!
Totally with you there mate. Tried to chase my dream job sector, but like Richard, even though that's the only thing I know how to do, no one wants me there. I tried looking at doing other things but I can't see myself doing them, and I can't help but think maybe the problem is not finding the right job, the problem is me. I will still be me.
"I would hit the thing, with the other thing, till I made a different thing!" no, actually that is pretty spot on. shame, he would've been a great blacksmith!
The actor Timothy Omundson who played King Richard on Galavant. He is now going to play Hephaestus in the Disney Percy Jackson tv series. •And he was singing about being a jolly blacksmith. (0:00-0:23) What a coincidence!
It's not important what you know how to do. It's important that you can learn. No one goes into a job knowing how to plant a cake, but you gotta come to work with a pen and paper and the ability to follow instructions.
This definitely contrasts with "Jack*ss in a Can" with Galavant. In that one Galavant experiences being a squire and how low opinion people have of knights due to all the flaws they have as he grows to realize he's exactly the type of person everyone is complaining about while he is stuck on a high horse. This one is Richard realizing he doesn't know how to do anything but be King and he knows he wasn't even good at that.
YES! Perfect casting both because of this amazing song predicting it so long ago (giving us plenty of blacksmith jokes now) and the fact that Hephaestus the character is disabled and so is Timothy Omundson IRL now--but still acting!! Incredible man. I've seen a photo of him behind the scenes for the PJO shoot and cannot WAIT for his role in it.
If I were not in the CID, something else I'd like to be If I were not in the CID, a window cleaner me! With a rub-a-dub-dub and a scrub-a-dub-dub and a rub-a-dub all day long With a rub-a-dub-dub and a scrub-a-dub-dub I'd sing this merry song!
That note at the end, "I would still be me...," seemingly giving into despair of the moment, yet the sword of destiny he has already claimed without knowing its nature shines, as if to say, "Wait for your moment, Richard. Hang in there, it is coming."
"What difference does it make? I would still be me"
That line hits so damn hard
I like it when he said he would plant a pig while pointing at a goat.
He also said he would stomp grapes to make beer! But I think he was thinking of wine.

Huan Nguyen It was canceled? NO! I wanted to see what happened to his dragon!

"Besides, any moron can plant a cake!" :')
I also love how he's trying to find a needed and liked occupation and he chooses a brewer xD
He's right. Any moron can plant a cake... the hard part is harvesting them.
You mean growing them?
Nah, they practically grow themselves. It's the harvest that's the real bitch.
Best quote in the whole show.
Apparently we’ve been doing it all wrong the entire time we gotta plant the cake
I super believe in you, Tad Cooper.
Richard and Tad Cooper will swoop in and save the day in the new Godzilla movie. It says right in the commercials that there will be only one true king, and Richard has the sword.
1:05 that moment when he realized he had no idea how to grow glass bottles for his beer.
The way he sings "cesspool worker" is so beautiful.

@@makennatyles2145 I think I sorta do...but not...really lol
@@makennatyles2145 Some jokes take me a while to understand LOLOL
Who would know that Richard would be able to put down in words how discouraged I feel career wise

no, actually that is pretty spot on.
shame, he would've been a great blacksmith!
Well now he'll be Hephesus in Percy Jackson and the Olympians.
Well he gets to be a jolly blacksmith now! God of the Forge!!
HEPHAESTUS ~
Too bad he didn't think of being a policeman. Then he could be Lassiter.
Got to love Lassie
Timothy Omundson - best actor/singer in the whole show! How about a spin off - King Richard!
Hard to believe he was their second choice for the role and had to fight to get it
And his dragon pal
The actor Timothy Omundson who played King Richard on Galavant. He is now going to play Hephaestus in the Disney Percy Jackson tv series.
•And he was singing about being a jolly blacksmith. (0:00-0:23) What a coincidence!
He’d hit the thing with the other thing till he made a different thing
Came to watch this again after I learned he is going to be the blacksmith god, Hephestus in Percy Jackson. So excited for him.

Oh, I wish I could have seen his face the first time he read the lyrics.
"I would hit the thing, with the other thing, 'till I made a different thing" DEAD. This gets quoted constantly in our house 🤣
"I would hit the thing! With the other thing! 'Til I made different thing!"
Kayla M Cook that’s me describing things 😂😂😂
Alan Menken outdid himself with the songs
Wet nurse was absolutely the best one.
This is probably my favorite song from the whole series. So adorable. And his voice. hot damn
Basically me after flunking out and wondering what the fuck i am going to do with my life
Everyone knows how to plant a cake. It’s obvious. You put the ingredients in the ground and wait until the cake is ready
this song... it's all fun and giggles until it hits right where it hurts with the ending
My favourite Galavant song by far... It describes Richard totally.
Has Richard heard of the job politician. It's like a king but in a democracy.
I like how this song started off fun and happy; then it got sad :(
my life.... every... freaking.... day!
Unknown And Unversed how I am right now. This song describes my job searching life 😂😂😂
I super believe In you king Richard
I have never identified more with --King-- Richard.
Poor formerly evil, childish king.
Anyone can plant a cake. It’s easy. The hard part is harvesting it
Guys planting a cake is easy. You put the ingredients in the ground, maybe add some water and wait until it’s time to harvest.
I can’t believe no-one has pointed out he said he’d plant eggs too…
This definitely contrasts with "Jack*ss in a Can" with Galavant. In that one Galavant experiences being a squire and how low opinion people have of knights due to all the flaws they have as he grows to realize he's exactly the type of person everyone is complaining about while he is stuck on a high horse.

Congratulations, King Richard - you finally got to become a jolly blacksmith in Percy Jackson!
Wait, the King Richard (Timothy Omundson) are gonna played the role Hephaestus in PJO series??
YES! Galavant made what GoT didn't. ......Character Development
This song always cracks me up
Such a clever show! I love it so much. It needs a Season 3!!!!!
Love the big steeple clock at 1:22
I love him so much
I loved this series so much. I actually cried when I found out they would end it after merely the second season.
Would anyone else be able to pull the Hero Sword from the burlap bag, or would it be stuck if he left it there?
Nope, only he can pull it... he is the one true king.
I would still be me...
Well, we know he could be a cop. A bailiff?
Oh, Richard...
If I were not in the CID, something else I'd like to be
If I were not in the CID, a window cleaner me!

Literally just yeeted that
"I don't know how to do anything except be a king..." - people choosing management career
What the heck am I doing here, I'm supposed to be writing my final paper due in 5 hours...
You could always plant some yummy chocolate cakes and be a farmer
The fact he listed wetnurse as a job XD
And now he’s Hephaestus, I guess he got his wish
I have the same problem. I should be the king. 😁
Oof... what difference does it make? I would still be me...
How is he to be a wet nurse? lol
If you try hard and believe in yourself... and take artificial hormones, I guess... you can Be Anything You Want To Be! XD
You can be anything you want to be as long as it suits the agenda of the perverts who run things
Has he considered going freelance
Why did you look at the bottle and get angry? Looks like a beer bottle.
Grapes=beer not wine..... Obviously
Nah, he didn't get as far as the fermentation. Just stomping the grapes will only yield grape juice.
Thenarnianhufflepuff pffft we’ve been doing it all wrong!
Whatever happened to the next Galavant?
The Jester's singing scared off other would-be singers. They can't compare. lol
That note at the end, "I would still be me...," seemingly giving into despair of the moment, yet the sword of destiny he has already claimed without knowing its nature shines, as if to say, "Wait for your moment, Richard. Hang in there, it is coming."
