BEST show on any station, and they CANCELED it!!!!! Do people have NO sense of humor anymore? Does it all have to be lawyers, police, forensics and reality shows?
Seems so, regrettably. Even seems they're much happier with shows like Once Upon A Time, Grimm etc. which I understand have their followings, but I just don't find as *clever* as Galavant and its ilk. The self-awareness, the outright being a musical to begin with, the quality of writing and performance. Actually making believable characters, hell some with important messages (e.g. Isabella vs the princess deal) without ramming it down people's throats. It all comes together to make this bizarrely perfect storm in a show that never should have even been premiered if focus groups and chart-pushers had their way, but, much like the show itself, defies TV as a genre-world for the privilege of existing at all.
God, why is Gal's voice so wonderful. Especially in this song. It's so smooth and rich. It's like being wrapped in a nice warm blanket and being fed dark chocolate.
"How can men ever be gay? Guys are disgusting, vile, horrible creatures and frankly I don't see how women put up with us pigish dogs." *Joshua Sass and Timothy Odmunson enter the room and begin singing* "Oh, okay... I see it now. Carry on." *lol*
This is the song that got me into the show. Especially: "Don't ever mention you've never had sex. Trust me, I promise, she knows." I watched a gifset of that scene and decided to check this show out. Best decision ever!
I loved "now her defenses are starting to fall". It's like, Really? Her defenses are falling after hearing THIS song? Is she not listening to the lyrics? Haha
I can't stop watching this. Though I think it's a miracle that Galavant has two seasons, I just want to see a third. It has lightened my summer holidays (I'm from Chile, South America). If it doesn't get a third season it will be missed by me and my whole family.
I love how Richard manages to set himself on fire despite not quite being near enough to even set his sleeve alight (from what I can see anyway). It's almost as if his blundering nature just bent reality solely to show him up :D
+OverEnglishMan It's the power of the D'Dew I tell you! Everyone knows the Dark Evil Lord goes there on weekends to enjoy his Dark Dark Coffee. Surely he was jealous of Richard's exquisite beard and decided to set him on fire! xD
No matter what the DEL was planning, he certainly made Richard... (dramatic pause) 'hot'! (cricket cricket) It's jokes like that that got me... 'fired' from being jester! (dodges random flying Dickens) Okay I'll stop!
OverEnglishMan You know what's funnier? (clears throat and does a horrible Richard impression) Three serfs walk into a bar. The first serf orders a hot grog. The second serf orders a hot grog. And the third serf orders a hot grog. But he has no money or neither do the other two because they are serfs. Huh?? (OverEnglishMan, just when I thought that you couldn't deserve the spot as best youtuber anymore than you did, you turn out to be a Galavant fan! This is an absolutely brilliant day!)
I really appreciate the singing in this song. There's something really enchanting about the way Galavant sings in this, especially in the chorus. Very skillful vocal work.
Am I the only one that thinks this was superior to the show it Once Upon a Time, in every way? It was made to fill the winter gap, but was so much better. Don't want to offend OUAT fans, but beautiful scenery, wit, amazing costumes, references to Disney tropes in a less hamfisted way, and tight, consistent plot points with payoff? I want it back so badly.
Ouat turned into a soap opera and when to shit well after the 3 season. I blame hook. I love him but with the captain swan and killing off Neal and the *several* fake out deaths with hook. Ugh.
I tried watching Once Upon A Time, well, once upon a time, but there was so much happening I couldn't follow it. It was basically a soap opera with fantasy trappings.
Oddly enough, I like these two as a couple. I thought nothing could beat the, "Maybe You're Not the Worst Thing Ever" duet between Madalena and King Richard. I was holding out hope for her turning good and falling for Richard, but....I just jumped ships. It's Richard/Bobbi for me!
I was kinda pissed at her for not believing in Richard and leaving for spinster island... but them as a couple at the end was the cutest thing ever, so I forgave her.
I know this is a complete homage to Kiss the Girl, but the melody and tempo is more similar to Bella Notte. Probably a combination of both famous Disney romance scenes, but I just thought I'd point that out since no one mentioned Lady and the Tramp.
If I ever the honor and privilege of meeting the great Timothy Omundsmon, no doubt I would sing this for him...Even though the thought of this freaks me out, I would totally do it!!😁🤗💖
Season 2 was so great, but sadly, the songs weren't as memorable as they were in season 1. That being said, there were some pretty good ones, like this song!
I really really enjoyed this Music I could listen to more verses... !!! I hear that there is an Galavant Original soundtrack to download from itunes. Furthermore I hear that many songs were cut short so the show could fit into the 22 min per episode format.------------------------- GREAT SHOW.....!!!! --------------------------
+john massey I-Tunes does have songs from Galavant Season 1 and 2. I bought some songs from both however I can't find this song listed and of course it was my favorite song from the whole series, Oh well such is life.
Has anyone else noticed that the lute player is also one of the monks in the finale song? Here he has a hat and that frown but I am fairly sure it is the same guy.
BRING IT BACK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! PLS
The bromance between Richard and Galavant in season 2 was fantastic
I've got a couple of friends who blatantly haven't noticed they fancy each other. The temptation to dress up and sing this around them is real lol xD
+TheVincePrince Do iiiiiittttttttt
TheVincePrince I know I'm a year late but DO IT MAN
Haha, I know the feel!
TheVincePrince I’m three years late but DO IT
IM 3 YEARS LATE BUT IF YOU HAVEN'T DONE THIS YET I WOULD PAY YOU TO DO SO
"Trust me. I promise. She knows." Hahaha
You watch Galavant?!
Deebo Molina yes he does
E Molina clearly
Funny line, but it turns out she didn't know, since she didn't bring it up when Galavant was temporarily dead.
This what happens when the Fighter decides to take a few levels of Bard.
YASS Mike
The entire show of Galavant is when the entire party, npc's and BBEG all multiclass into Bard.
bard gestalt campaign. even the npcs have equivalent bard levels
I had to determine British Theater Training is superior in all ways.
As if Galavant wasn’t always a Bard.
BEST show on any station, and they CANCELED it!!!!! Do people have NO sense of humor anymore? Does it all have to be lawyers, police, forensics and reality shows?

Minerva Mcgonnagall yeah, sadly. but people are working in ipetitions to bring it back on Netflix
Victória Veiga I heard they might work on a Broadway performance.
Stinkfly3 I hope so!!
At least it got a second season ending that actually gave us some closure.
The facial expressions on Galavant and the guys playing the instruments is hilarious.
Especially at "Smile, and return her affections" XD
+Honeybeard “The Dwarf” Jones Yeah and at 2:00 when one of them rests his head on his shoulder...
Who's the guy playing the "viols"?
I know the guy who plays the Luth is Johnny Bishop, he's an amazing performer and is incredibly sweet!
@@evanbentzinger7254
For me he was the best thin gin the entire show, and that says soemthing
Creators of Galavant overdid themselves, the second season rocks.
God, why is Gal's voice so wonderful. Especially in this song. It's so smooth and rich. It's like being wrapped in a nice warm blanket and being fed dark chocolate.
+bob duncan I don't blame her.
Hannah Barch - wonderful description.
"How can men ever be gay? Guys are disgusting, vile, horrible creatures and frankly I don't see how women put up with us pigish dogs."
*Joshua Sass and Timothy Odmunson enter the room and begin singing*
"Oh, okay... I see it now. Carry on." *lol*
As a wingman, Galavant leaves much to be desired
To be fair, he wasn't given much to work with
@@vincentrose8725 i mean the girl was ready to throw herself at him.
The look he gives when he sings "Or bring up your ex." LOL
The amount of sass on the the lute player's face during the line about Richard being a virgin is simply fantastic
The mark of a great show is how many times someone can watch even one scene and appreciate these kinds of subtleties.
This is the song that got me into the show. Especially: "Don't ever mention you've never had sex. Trust me, I promise, she knows."
I watched a gifset of that scene and decided to check this show out. Best decision ever!
I don't almost ever use the word, but this show is simply BRILLIANT!
agree
+Toneai2007 AGREE!!!
YES!!! AGREED!!
I love the part "Don't begin screaming, you'll blow the whole mood.." :D
I loved "now her defenses are starting to fall".
It's like,
Really? Her defenses are falling after hearing THIS song? Is she not listening to the lyrics? Haha
I bet this is going to be some couple's wedding song this year.
+Mr Tuesday You're a genius, I'm totally going to convince whoever I marry to let us use this as our wedding song.
+Mr Tuesday
Don't ever mention you've never had sex trust me I promise she knows?
Might be slightly off-putting
First sexual encounter song. I mean, if you ignore the lyrics it's actually very romantic!!! 😂
I can't stop watching this. Though I think it's a miracle that Galavant has two seasons, I just want to see a third. It has lightened my summer holidays (I'm from Chile, South America). If it doesn't get a third season it will be missed by me and my whole family.
+Brian Seguel “Tempy” oh my god. Summer holidays. IT'S TWO DEGREES BELOW ZERO HERE IN NORTH ITALY D:
Maria Giordani I love cold
Galavant was a blessing from the heavens. It was too good for this world.
It's 2018 and I still love this song and this show.
I still didn't pardon the crime of canceling this show!
We need to re-nact the "She'll be mine" execution methods on the tv producers *lol*
I was crying during this song, their faces are hysterical!
I still love how awkward the actress playing Roberta managed to look, especially when Galavant is behind her.
Galavant's voice is so calming lol
Yes indeed; beautiful voice!
Surely he was jealous of Richard's exquisite beard and decided to set him on fire! xD
Maybe he thought he needed that "scorched" look. After all, he would know being a (looks dramatically one way, then the other) fashion consultant.
No matter what the DEL was planning, he certainly made Richard... (dramatic pause) 'hot'! (cricket cricket) It's jokes like that that got me... 'fired' from being jester! (dodges random flying Dickens) Okay I'll stop!
(booming Richard voice) WELL WELL WELL....that certainly was some Comedy Gold my friend :)
OverEnglishMan You know what's funnier? (clears throat and does a horrible Richard impression) Three serfs walk into a bar. The first serf orders a hot grog. The second serf orders a hot grog. I get what you say although this is two very different things so I really don't want to compare them :)
Ouat turned into a soap opera and when to shit well after the 3 season. I blame hook. I love him but with the captain swan and killing off Neal and the *several* fake out deaths with hook. Ugh.
Ouat did one major mistake : not ending with rumplestilskin's redemption and death in season 3.
I tried watching Once Upon A Time, well, once upon a time, but there was so much happening I couldn't follow it. It was basically a soap opera with fantasy trappings.
Fun fact: Isabella plays Princess Jasmine in OUaT.
+1980wildfire Plus this season makes it so hard not to ship Madelena and Gareth!
I was kinda pissed at her for not believing in Richard and leaving for spinster island... but them as a couple at the end was the cutest thing ever, so I forgave her.
This reminds me of Kiss the girl and Bellla Note so much and it totally makes sense because Alan Menken.
I LOVE this show.Tim Omundson is awesome!
I love how invested the musicians are! Best show ever!
Best song of the season and one of the best of the series for me.
This song is so pretty, I can't stop listening to it
My God, those musicians!!! Their expressions are killing me xD
I really wish Hollywood produced more stuff like this.
God I love this song.
+MegaCoolguy52 Me too. Me too.
+Ellen Harris p
Relationship ultimate goal - that you don't die alone
The musicians on the background are SO into it 😂
Bring this show back!!!!
Joshua Sasse's voice is so soothing
Exactly!
Galavant at the end of the song is what Bards in D&D feel like half the time
i love the guys playing the instuments.
I really miss this show.
One of the few moments in second season in which Galavant becomes the funniest character again
I need Season 3! Probably wont happen but i can still hope.
best dating tips everrr LOL
Bring it back!
My favorite song of the season.
When my kid is ready to start dating and asks for advice....I'm totally gonna song 'em this song. LoL.
Love the show, can't stress this enough!
Not sure how it was possible, but Galavant got even hotter in season 2 🥰
it's the beard
We need a season 3!
My absolute favorite song from Galavant! Fantastic show, disappointing they let it go.
i almost died when he said herpes simplex
Probably my favorite song of the entire series!
Best reference of 'Kiss the Girl' ever. This show has so many easter eggs for those of us raised on the Disney Renaissance.
I don't know if I like knowing the songs in advance or not. Either way - Galavant does mariachi? Sold.
+Jarrod Wade Don't click thje video. Just wait.
I want a season 3
I love Clare Foster. What dreamy beautiful woman. Just wow!
Summer 2022. Still one the best love songs I've ever heard
"Maybe you won't die alone." is much more my speed than "Kiss the Girl."
He's the wingman we all need.
This is PERFECT! Perfect! It does not get better!
I love how this is a blatant parody of 'Kiss the Girl' from The Little Mermaid.
I played this for my two friends when they started dating. XD
Love this one!
Loving how this is a cynical version of Kiss The Girl.
Self aware version
With Bobbi looking like Ariel!
I know this is a complete homage to Kiss the Girl, but the melody and tempo is more similar to Bella Notte. Probably a combination of both famous Disney romance scenes, but I just thought I'd point that out since no one mentioned Lady and the Tramp.
“Don’t be to needy or bring up your ex.” That would be an interesting conversation.
Everything about this show was too funny.
I wish they made more like it.
Fav song from Season 2! I hope to see a third in 2017!
"Take her to a candle-lit restaurant."
"So like. Anywhere."
This cancellation still hurts
still one of the best musicals of our generation
i have a buddy who hasnt been on a date in a few years. i now need to find a mariachi band for when he does. date crashing
This is a PG-13 version of Kiss the Girl, considering that both songs are composed by Alan Menken
I love this!!!!!!!!!!!!!!♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥
incredible how i manage to be the both of them (galavant and richard) simultaneously
If I ever the honor and privilege of meeting the great Timothy Omundsmon, no doubt I would sing this for him...Even though the thought of this freaks me out, I would totally do it!!😁🤗💖
Please! Bring it backkkk!
This is basically my theme song XD
I want this played at my wedding
Season 2 was so great, but sadly, the songs weren't as memorable as they were in season 1. That being said, there were some pretty good ones, like this song!
im singing this at everyone's wedding
im crying...now... from brazil #missgalavant
Best part of the entire series LOL
... Am I the only one who noticed that Richard somehow managed to catch fire despite being clear of the candle on the table?
Bring this to DVD!!!!!!!!!!!!!
It's on dvd! I own it!
Literally me giving my friends dating advice
I really really enjoyed this Music I could listen to more verses... !!! I hear that there is an Galavant Original soundtrack to download from itunes. +Dennis Morin This song's title is actually "Serenade" on the season 2 soundtrack
Thank You Donna, I found it and I bought it, Better late then never.
Супер!!!
That’s one way to be your friends wingman
Galavant or the continuing adventures of Timothy Omundson having younger dudes sit on his laps
If I ever get married this song will be played
Has anyone else noticed that the lute player is also one of the monks in the finale song? Here he has a hat and that frown but I am fairly sure it is the same guy.
BRING IT BACK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! PLS
Abc can you add happiest day of your life please!!
Best wingman ever
This song sounds a lot like Bella Notte! Love it.
Bella Notte and Kiss The Girl!
I'm imagining this is what it looks like when the bard gives the help action and the person he's trying to help rolls two nat 1s.
I wish this song lasted longer.
I love the mean girls ref at the beginning lol
He doesn't even go here.
DinoGlasses YAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAS
+Samantha Victoria :)
Richard is such a himbo.
My last three brain cells trying to land me a date
I wish i could buy galavants shirt in this. Its cute.
