I only learned about this show last week, binged it within three days, and am now convinced its cancellation is to be considered a crime against humanity.
My dad doesn't like musicals, at all. He thinks the bursting into song thing is unrealistic and a lot of the time the stories are ridiculous. His reaction to finding out Galavant was cancelled after we binge watched all of it was legit exactly the same as Woody finding out he'd been cancelled in Toy Story 2.

Hell richard got that early in the season but regardless did the growth on his own and friends. Not that sword. Thats where even subversions come from, from expecting . Like if the 4th terminator movie stuck to the original ending, it would have been , good. Despite knowing what has to happen.

Me too. It sneaks in there because it’s such a silly context but it’s such a powerful thing to say about life, right? Like you’ve got another day, another shot. Celebrate it! Give it your all! When I’m feeling down I like to go back and listen to this song and as silly as it is that line makes me tear up.
Well the songs are from the same artist who wrote Aladdin, Little Mermaid, etc. There's a line at the end of season where Sidd goes "kiss the girl" as a reference. He's done a lot of musical episodes of other shows too. He's worth looking into.
The fact they got Weird Al to be a singing Monk, not once but TWICE was proof this show was comedy gold and the fact they couldn't get that third season/spin off is tragic.
You have the Game of Thrones and MCU writers hiding parts of the script from actors and keeping them in the dark so as to not spoil a single thing. And then you have the writers of Galavant who spoil the season finale at the very beginning, because why not?
I have a feeling that even the creators of the show saw the writing on the wall that they weren't going to get a season 3, so they said "Fk it, let's just go all out with season 2" and left only a few strands of plotlines dangling as a 'just in case' for their finale.
I love the "Winter's not just coming, it came and then it went." This is such an accurate prediction about the end of GoT. 🤣🤣🤣 I am sorry that "Galavant" was cancelled, it is a self-aware, funny show and for musical lovers is a treat. I mean, people can actually sing here. (I am looking at you bad Disney live-action remakes and musical movies)
Still love how even though the pirates decided to replace the belovèd Galavant theme song, our boy Ben Presley, err, the jester got the _comeback_ he deserved. ♡
I knew this show existed, but I couldn't find it anywhere back in Spain. Then I moved to the States and when I saw it on Hulu I had to try and watch it... and WOAH! Absolutely amazing, I binge-watched it and couldn't stop laughing nor, after, singing the songs. Hurts a lot that it never got another season!! Here's hoping for a nostalgic reboot (there's been a lot of that going on so...)

Meh, not everyone can sing. But they don't try and cover up the bad singers with pitch correction, which makes all the difference.
