I wonder if Alan Menken was relieved when this show was canceled. Imagine you have to come up with several scores as great as these every couple of weeks. It's maddening.
I always thought the show was just a vehicle to showcase some of the backlog of his amazing talent that hasn't fit into a storyline so far. He's pretty much made up the score to every single disney animated movie since he was hired on several decades ago.

According to an interview, they filmed this on location in Morocco and a sandstorm started brewing. Hence all the wind. They ended up unable to use any of the audio from their live takes because of the ambient noise, and had to overdub them with studio versions.
You can't actually hear the best line of the song, but the focus goes away from Wormwood to Gareth. On the soundtrack there is an extra stanza that goes like this: BOTH:Well that's the d'dew d'dew, d'dew BOTH: d'dew d'dew d'dew WORMWOOD: no one can poo poo you WORMWOOD: with this juju moving through you MADALENA: it's taboo WORMWOOD: well whopty doo WORMWOOD: I don't mind, do you? +Paulo Neto Neto I think it's inspired by the Seven Dwarves' song in "Snow White and the Seven Dwarves". It gives a nod to the song, when they're dancing with Snow White.
My favorite part's when it's focusing on Gareth and you can hear the song still going on faintly in the background.
