Rejuvenating my black plastic bumper on our 2007 Chrysler Pacifica. Heat gun instead of a torch. Works just fine. Sure beats swapping the bumper for now.
Will a heat gun turn a old white yellowish plastic into brand new white again? I see them used in black plastics but not white. There's videos on using hydrogen peroxide to turn yellowish white plastic into new white again but hydrogen peroxide destroys paint so it's too risky
I’m not sure that it would. I also have mixed views on the heat gun method for the gray/black bumpers as well. It works but I noticed light spots coming back on it already. Mostly where the car has taken some damage to the bumper. I’ll probably add an after video to the channel soon.
