Great driving cars, these Celicas. My mom had the liftback GTS version, no turbo of course. Today they are very hard to find. Worth mentioning on your comments about rear gear ratios, when these cars were new the national speed limit was 55mph. So they were geared for best economy at that speed. Good video!
Hi Mr. Ryan. Thank you for the positive compliment. :) So true on the gearing. It like 60 MPH the best. Anything 70 and above is over 3K RPM and its eating gas. The Turbo engine is fun. I've been finding out from other subscribers there is a couple more 22RTE Celicas out there. Subscribe to my channel if you'd like. I have a 2JZGTE powered 85 MK 2 Supra that I plan on making videos for. It will be worth your subscription. Regards, Brian
I just bought a 1984 Toyota Celica convertible and its in decent shape, but It needs some TLC because its 36 years old. I am very excited to bring it back to its formal glory. Enjoy your Celica.
@@richardbarreto6205 I already put in shape engine and transmission, I will restore seats and top, then will be ready for body paint and tires...! I love it.
I'd keep it if I were you I had an 82 Celica coupe GT with the carburetor and an 84 Celica GT coupe with the EFI and both were great to me unfortunately I had too many cars at the time and I parted with the 82 at that time the 84 left due to a blown head gasket
It's not fast..about stock MK2 Supra fast. You won't be impressed nor would it make for a very exciting video. Sorry...Take in the sound ya get...that's all there is.
Graduated highschool in 96 with an 1984 coupe 5speed Celica. Tough car!
Earned a new sub. You're a real person, and its refreshing
Finally, some watch content soon! Great ride along, PA is looking stellar with the leaves changing.

Great video. I live in Pa if interested in selling please let me know. Thank you and Be safe.
Pretty sure this thing was flipped by who ever he sold it to. Kind of a shame to know it's now a garage queen.
