The corset as you call it is an iconic piece of Madonna's wardrobe. It has been designed by French stylist Jean-Paul Gaultier.
Donna and Nikki are a big part of Madonnas touring history as her back up singers and dancers.
Wait till u get to Like A Virgin. That whole segment is absolutely stunning.
This tour was the mould that most pop stars now use. They use the backing track & sing over it. Helps with dance routines & also helps boost the voice. She uses it again in Where's The Party, Papa Don't Preach, Into The Groove & Vogue.

I am loving how you are approaching Madonna's career. I have been a huge fan of hers since the 80s. I recommended a future performance (MDNA Tour -2012) the other day but honestly watching each tour in its entirety the way you seem to be doing and in chronological order would be a treat. Madonna is at her best on stage. So please ignore my previous recommendation and instead I offer the gentle nudge to do exactly what you are doing with every single one of her tours going forward. Every tour is iconic and you have barely scratched the surface of how amazing she is. Thank you for the fun watch. 🙂

I never saw Madonna's movie WHO'S THAT GIRL from which this track is taken, but it's always been a favorite track. I can only assume the play fighting and trash-talking here is a reference to her character in the movie. The number of f-bombs is a little shocking.
The song has such great energy. I love the lyrical callback to her previous movie hit "Into the Groove" from DESPERATELY SEEKING SUSAN.

She lipsynched Express Yourself, Where's the Party and Vogue during the Blond Ambition World tour due to the demanding choreography.
They aren’t lip synced. She has a pre recorded vocals along with her live vocal. You can hear the imperfect live vocal come through. This is to support all the dancing and also possibly to sound like more like the original recordings that often have doubled up vocal tracks. If you listen to the London recordings you can really hear that’s what’s going on plus you have Niki and Donna on backup
@@fjvbfjvb She using backing tracks for her recent tours. The above mentioned songs are fully playback and that's OK, cause all other songs are live.
@@Datenmeer I don’t agree. You can hear the live vocal along with the prerecorded. The prerecorded vocal may even be at the same volume level as the live vocal but the live vocal is def there. You can hear it in all the various recordings of tour dates out there and the natural variations of her live vocal output. The times I thought she was probably using full prerecorded vocals were maybe during Express Yourself (although I think the prerecorded vocal volume just matched her live vocal) and during spoken word songs or parts like on Erotica and Justify My Love during the Girlie Show.
1 hour 19 minutes in with Vogue you can hear her breathy sometimes not in tune live vocal competing with the prerecorded. Really obvious at the 1 hour 22 minute mark. I suspect she was using this technique during a few songs on this tour czcams.com/video/xL5bWC_Gzpc/video.htmlsi=8vj9YN1g7MbWy3xT
