- Amidst the strain of climbing a mountain trail for the soul purpose of pulling water from a crystal stream, this is a story of depression, joy, and those simple ideals that make freedom and contentment possible.
My book “Josie’s Journey” is a not a motorcycle book, but rather a spiritual tale told in the story of one man’s journey to freedom. However, Josie’s is not a flowery yarn, nor does it venture anywhere near the sterile cleanness or deep phycological thought of many spiritual books:

Loved the video Scotty as I do all of them. Didn't care for the original sound being replaced with your voice over. Nothing wrong with your book's content, just would have enjoyed hearing the real sounds of your hike.
Time to order the book.
I rather hear the original video sound without voice over.
Truthfully I miss the old travel videos especially in Mexico and would like to see more of them more often. I think most of us would love to ride as you do but for many reasons are unable to.

My first impression: At the beginning of the video, the words you narrated didn't seem to flow with the scene. As the video progressed, especially as Josie and God were chatting about what's important in life's journey, it made more sense. It seemed you and Vida were enjoying freedom and life in the now. Isn't that the most responsible thing you can do? I have to watch the video again.

I like the commentary and think an audio version would be great to listen to on long rides. The voice over videos might be better on some “shorts” where you have nothing but B roll of scenic rides. I like the content and the book is worth the purchase. I’ve enjoyed reading it several times. I’m waiting on the next book “Life On the Road with STS”. Keep it fun!

I think the narration of your book deserves the concentration that an audio book format gives, its a deep delve into consciousness and your videos of your lifestyle are best the way you have done them. I found I had to move the screen so I couldn't see the video while I listened and concentrated on your narration.
I enjoyed it Scotty I have to get your book. I’m ashamed to say but I think I have read a total of about 3 books front to back in my life. And on of those was Sonny’s book on the Hell’s Angles and one on another m/c. I’m 62 years old now so maybe I should start reading a little more. You take care and stay safe.

I think I need your book. As a Jesus follower, knowing I am spirit and soul, I think it’s important to realize we are on a journey, and this life is just a way to get somewhere else. But THE water is life. Not stuff.

Hi Scotty. No. It didn't work as entertainment. The mind is constantly seeking meaning and cohesion between our eyes and our ears. For the most part, that understanding was impossible and made the video very distracting to watch, while listening to your narration. It almost worked in a few places and the general concept of enjoying life and following bliss, made sense. A compilation of scenic views, showcasing God 's creation, would have been much easier to watch and while listening to your prose.
It was awesome to hear some of your book, with you doing the narration. Thank you. As always, it's a joy tagging along on your travels. It's nice to see Vida becoming a regular part of your life. You two have an easiness in each other's company. It's a unique woman who can appreciate your lifestyle. Definitely not a match to be taken for granted.

Scotty, I't kinda disjointed to hear a story about one thing and watch a video about another thing. A story creates a video in your mind, and a different video disturbes that.
very cool to hear a passage from the book, was some time ago i read it and ive lost its message a little bit. that passage is really hitting home with me and the path we are on right now. some comments dont like the video, it seemed to work for me, i like it. variety is the spice of life eh? i am probably too young to have read any of your easyrider stuff, or if i did i didnt realize it was you.... most of us whom bought your book assumed it was about motorcycles, and were entirely thrown off when we found out it wasnt... the same concept could be applied to a book about motorcycles, or maybe the book is just about being a part of this beautiful earth and all its creatures, (while riding a motorcycle)... So please write another book! or you could try an easyrider article style narrated video. the comments that dont like the concept of this video must not watch too many of your videos, you actually narrate them all..... if you string together enough easyrider articles it could become a book....

Scotty, I've always enjoyed your videos and spiritual perspectives. Although I appreciate the effort to put this video together, I found it very difficult to focus on both your narration and the hiking video. My mind doesn't seem to have the bandwidth to take in the hike and your reading simultaneously. I found myself visualizing God and Josie in my mind's eye, while trying to process what was happening in the video. Thanks for trying something new, because hey, you never know. Safe travels.
I would prefer to hear you talk about the video while you film it. I can concentrate on your book reading better if I'm not watching the video. I would like to read the book.

Scotty, I read your book and it was very good for short stories. I like Hemmingway, he wrote short stories also. The thing about stories is in your mind the reader creates the image of the character. Your video is completely different than the video. If you want to read the storie, just sit in your chair and do so. To over lay it to a video, just doesn't do either one justice. Commentate on the video's to add information, leave the book to the readers imagination. I liked your book and passed it to a friend. I enjoy your video's with a bit of envey and amazement that you're still healthy. I see it and still don't know you get by. Stay safe and well.

I think it works, if you have less or no fingerpointing or portraying going on in the video, if you just go and show surrounding and people, less active pointing and explanation on video going on.

I like the reading of the book, a kind of philosophy I don't know if the video playing separately and with the commentary will pay for both or if that's redoing it or CZcams would cut you out of your income for playing it twice it was different for you and I enjoyed it ride on my friend
