Great Vlog I would love you to make the zero waste full circle dress.

Would love to see the no waste circle skirt dress made up!! It looked lovely on their web site. :+)

I think you should make the pinafore/bib removable (button or snap on in the waistband. Then you could make different ones if you have the fabric and make a wardrobe of bibs for 1 skirt bottom or multiple skirts for 1 bib. Can't wait to see what you decide.

I was just the mood website and notice a gambit pinafore pattern. That made me think of you as you discussed making a pinafore. I made the peppermint sundress. But I think I may make a different pattern and then decide which one to post on the 31st. Good luck!

I love your creativity-I want to see all of your hacks and color blocking!! But if not, I'm sure I'll absolutely love whatever you make, Laura!

So much creative thoughts put into this project...I will need to watch it again to get what I missed the 1st time. I like the school type pinafore you started & your hack ideas for it, so unless you have a garden party event in your future that calls for frills & swrills ... my guess is the uncommon pinafore. Great vlog, thankyou!

I like your thought process, you're the perfect person to do a hack.

Very interesting ideas - you can tell you’re an engineer! 😂😂I think you’ll do the Gambit style pinafore! However, I’d love to see the engineered dress with the circle skirt! I guess you could do a jersey top and a woven skirt that would look like separates! ❤️

Some great ideas here Laura, I love the idea of 0 waste sewing & pattern hacking, looking forward to seeing what you come up with. (But I think it might be the pinafore 😉)

I would not worry about zero waste as it is currently considered. Keeping fabric on a garment that you don’t want isn’t less wasteful; it uses just as much. Kind of like eating more than you want or need to just clear your plate and not waste food. Food that does not contribute to health is just as wasted eaten as tossed. I think we need to focus on limiting unnecessary consumption, not consuming what we don’t want so as not to waste it.

I think you’re going to make the pinafore dress but I would love to see how you make the no waste circle dress. In any case, looking forward to seeing your frock!

Really interesting ideas Laura, and love the ideas of doing a hack with the patterns. At a guess I think you will end up doing the pinafore - you sounded more excited when talking about that one. However, we shall have to wait and see what the final result will be, good luck.

Me thinks I know what you’ll be going for but we shall have to wait and see 😜

You did not pop in the diagram of the maths for the circle skirt, unless your original drawing was it, but that didn't appear to be different than a regular circle skirt sketch. Interesting ideas....

Hey! If you follow the link in the description you'll see the original diagram, my sketch was intended to be the diagram, ita a circle skirt but the areas around the edge make up the bodice of a dress
