Thank you so much!!! And I'm so glad to hear my recipes are saving your marriage, that is very high praise 😉
Why can’t you eat MSG? You know the headache thing is a myth right?
@balkanwitch5747 hypochondria caused headaches 😂
@@balkanwitch5747Not headache. Rather throat and tongue becomes sore. Rashes all over skin. I know, I'm allergic to msg.
Palin your channel is so wonderful, so healthy and so honest! I love your education, your lectures and your labs. Your channel is astonishing!
Made this tonight but without the pineapple bowl since it was the first time I’d made it & it was just for my wife & me tonight. I just used pre-chopped pineapple from the supermarket but cut it into smaller pieces. No Roma tomatoes so I used sugar bomb cherry tomatoes. Used jumbo cashews that I hand on hand for cashew chicken that I make often using your recipe. Used half a pound of frozen medium peeled deveined shrimp without tails. Did the shrimp in 2 batches. Cooking the jasmine rice in coconut mild put it over the top. Turned out fantastic!!! We both loved it. I’ll do the pineapple bowl some time just to surprise her. This one is definitely another winner.
Made this as well and used what I had on hand - diced kumato tomatoes (seeds removed) and the white parts of my green onions. I used leftover white rice (no coconut milk) and added some leftover tofu. It was really good! Hubby asked me to make it again. 😊
That picture of fried rice in a pineapple looks exactly like the icon for crafted fried rice in Farmville 3! At first I didn't understand how that is fried rice, but now I do!
I love the coconut milk suggestion. Looks great. Thanks Pai!
Always one of my go to recipes ever since I saw your original one 😊 Absolutely wonderful
For rice grains that doesn't clump together, cook the rice one day ahead and store it in the fridge. This allows the rice to cool down and firm up. If you use freshly cooked rice to fry, the grains are still moist and soft, and it will be mushy and harder to work with. Overnight rice will give you separate grains that works great in all fried rice recipes.
This was one of my dad's favorite dishes. Love this dish!
I absolutely love pineapple fried rice + any type of animal protein. It's so good! The only thing I usually change is instead of fish sauce I use oyster sauce, which is my favorte asian sauce. It's divine. Probably one of my top 10 favorite dishes.
Also, in my country at least my family uses a tablespoon of oil to make the rice. It never gets sticky.
Don’t throw away the core! Cut it up and freeze. Add to smoothies. Perfectly edible with same nutrition including bromelain which fights cancer and inflammation. 🍍🍍🍍
Made this today and my family loved it!!
That dish looks so good. Thank you for sharing that.
Easily my favourite dish, thanks for the update ❤️
Thank you for the revised recipe 👍🏻
11:07 Idea! Cut the bottom rind off of your pineapple bowl to flatten the bottom so it doesn't wobble as you scoop/ladle out your portion
I made this today on my Weber Griddle and it was AMAZING! I will be making this often! Thank you!
Looks delicious! Thank you!
สวยมากครับ ❤️❤️
Love your cooking and recipes!
I made your pineapple fried rice this past month and it was like I got it from a restaurant! I can’t wait to try this version!
Try other recipe too. I also followed other recipe. So gooood
Great recipe! Looks similar to the dish I had in Brooklyn. Too bad this menu is not quite popular back in Thailand. Thanks for sharing Kun Pailin.
Pineapple causes that uncomfortable sensation in your mouth because it contains bromelin, a proteolytic enzyme. It basically breaks down or digests the proteins of your mouth. But it only exists when it's raw. It's thermolabile, which means it deactivates if heated. So, of course, grilled or cooked pineapple will never give you that problem. 😉
For just a few exceptions, all enzymes are thermolabile since they're proteins after all. Just saying.
so while you eat your pineapple, your pineapple eats you.
Hm.. that’s good to know. I knew that pineapple contained bromelain because I’ve always heard that it’s great for back pain. I didn’t know however that it only existed in raw pineapple. Maybe best in smoothies then because it irritates my mouth to eat it raw as well.

This is a major comment. Way to go.

Just made it, sooo good! I had saved just enough dark roasted cashews left over from the Cahew Chicken recipe. Even the bowl turned out good. Thank you Pai - ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

I've tried this recipe a couple of times without the video and I just couldn't quite get it right. Seeing it actually done was so helpful 🙏

I love that you made a simple and easy recipe for pineapple fried rice. It's hard to find tamarind or tamarind paste where we live and some recipes call for it. I'm gonna try this right away! Thanks Pailin!
Hello lone
Hi Pailin... I must say your pineapple fried rice is the Bestest 😊. I hv cooked it several times ...nd today is just one of those days. Going to cook it for my grandchildren who r down frm Australia . Tq frm Malaysia ❤.
I love shredding the shrimp after cooking. Doesn't do anything for presentation but it distributes perfectly.
taht is looking amazing im going to make that one
Cant wait to make this!
As a Thai, I had this one only when I was in hotel or resort for holiday. I never had in daily life.
Just made this tonight, very nice! I wish I knew how much shrimp paste you put, I put one tea spoon but seems like a little more would be a little better.
Ingredients were easy to find and excited to make it again! Thank you!
wow amazing food. thank you for sharing these awesome recipes. I'm trying to replicate you're dishes..
Lovely ! Thank you 🙏🏾
nice information on the Logos. Delicious food to nourish our tummy, there's also info to nourish the brain. :)
Made this recipe yesterday. Turned out really well. Went all out made the pineapple bowl too🙄😀! One mind blowing moment for me was when I realized your blogpost has recipe multiplier for multiple servings. I visited blogpost because I did not have shrimp on hand and was going to use chicken thighs and wanted to know how you deal with it so it does not taste bland in the rice as it usually is in restaurants. I love your recipes as you talk about science behind flavors in the recipe. Thank you for this wonderful work and keep more recipes coming!
Wish youtube had way of sharing pics in the comment and I would be so proud to share the pic of my pineapple fried rice😀
We just had this tonight! It was perfectly delicious! I used chicken instead of shrimp - really great…this will become a staple in our home!

Hi Pai and Adam,
This is surely touristy type of the dish. Not only for tourists a lot of good restaurants in Thailand offering this dish usually serve it this way.
Very nice camera work Adam. Picture in picture and nice zoom in on the wok.
lol - don't think I did great with that first zoom but thanks :) (and yes I liked this one as well :)) Cheers!
ok
Thai Pineapple Fried Rice + Easy Pineapple Bowl. Delicious food. I support your video. Watched the video on Watched the video on Aug 17, 2022 very like. Thank you so much
Ohhhh that looks sooo good!
Personally, I would put the shrimp on a paper towel and dab the oil off the top and I always rinse the rice a couple times until the water runs clear before making coconut rice as it makes it fluffier and it won't stick together as much.
Oh and slice a bacon size piece off each side of the pineapple before splitting and it will sit flat and not tend to roll.
I just spend a couple months in The Kingdom and it ruined meeee! hahaha Even took some Thai cooking classes. The food is at another level.
My grandpa made me this for my birthday. It was soooo good.
Our favorite Thai place also adds raisins!
Brilliant Chef
ココナッツライス🍚 パイナップル🍍の組み合わせがタイ料理らしいですね。
フルーティーなチャーハン食べてみたいです・・・😋
Interesting explanation with those bunch of logos there
So happy you made another new video! My wife still thinks I make the best pad thai because of you. First time I have seen a pineapple bowel! I’m so excited to try this. Now, if my white ass can only figure out how to properly season a wok. Thank you so much for making thai food easy and possible at home
Thanks for sharing

Coconut rice is one of the most exotic flavors to me ….

Excellent and funny chef!!
I made this last week. I cut the pineapple 🍍 as a bowl in a vertical height and kept the top branch as a lid
You make it look so amazing! Do I dare to try emulating you? Possibly! Thanks Pai.
I am thinking of making this with Chinese sausage as the protein (it's what I have) this weekend!
