The thing is, he has got something to hide. As do we all. It's called basic privacy.
Giving your details to Police is objectionable for many privacy related reasons. If you are not known to the Police, why would you want to be when you've done nothing wrong? If you are known to the Police then giving your details exposes you to an interaction with them that you would probably prefer not to have, especially as - again - you've done nothing wrong.
Claiming your right to privacy is not equivalent to an admission of guilt. That is the utter stupidity we witness here in this video and on many other videos on YT as well.
I personally would not be brave enough to have an interaction with the Police like this because I don't trust them and you can see here how they twist things to fit their own narrative in ways that disadvantage you. Respect to this guy for the way he conducted himself under pressure.

All the government would have to do, is make it mandatory for people register online as a photographer, then get given a license number that you would be legally required to quote if you're stopped by the Rozzers. In exactly the same way as drone registration, for example..

Or perhaps hand over a copy so the others can read it whilst your being searched. Surely this would stump them a little to question what their doing? Very, very important to take them to court. You should fill a complaint form in first, but then, asap, register to take them to court, as they will hide the complaint (not answer it) for 6 months from when it happened, thinking you won't take them to court before you get their response. And they know, if they don't respond before 6 months are up, you cannot take them to court. This is why you must take them to court before they respond. And don't tell them you are taking them to court. A good contact who can really help you is the solicitor Iain Gould (IainGould.co.uk). He has won lots of court cases against the police.

When they ask you what are you doing ? "Taking photos / video for a Vlog" should be your answer. If they persist, as these are doing, go on to say "and police corruption in public office". You should get a better response from them. Name ? Answer, "am I obliged to give you my name ?" No you're not OBLIGED. You don't even have to speak with them if you don't want to. Can I have your names and collar numbers ? You should be asking for their warrant card, which they have to show you. Stop talking when you've answered their questions, your response should be, I've given you an account and ask if you're being detained. Clearly they are using section 43, if so what is the purpose for the detention? If they search you, they have to give you a copy of the search record, with all their details on the copy. I hope you follow this up Matt, with video of any calls you make to these thugs who say they are nice people, when clearly they are just like the rest, corrupt. None of them was wearing PPE either.

I love it they just can’t help think that your a terrorist. And they always come out with the terrorisium act every time. As far as the police are concerned everyone with a camera taking pictures or videos around a police station is automatically considered a terrorist.
