I just LOVED this video, especially the dark ending with Bowser winning by using the Star and uppercutting Mario and Luigi into space, and the ending gag with Zod commenting, "Girls and Rock Stars, man."

To be fair, Bowser is hardly the first villain to fail because he/she was too arrogant to directly use a power up or powerful weapon when he/she had the chance.

I agree with the scene from 2:18. Forming an _alliance_ involves way more than just demanding _allegiance_ - you have to negotiate for a common cause in which you both have something to offer and something to gain.
The real value that the Mushroom kingdom was offering the Kong Army was allowing the Kongs to fight Bowser on Mushroom Kingdom soil- Bowser's fortress showing up was enough to destroy any kingdom on it's own. Kong city would have been destroyed when Bowser came for them, but if they fight while he assaults the Mushroom Kingdom it spares their capital.
Do you think HISHE having Bowser as the bouncer in the _movie_ villain bar this entire time was actually just the hardest foreshadowing of all time?

There were a couple times during this video I actually wondered if Jack Black made a special guest appearance to voice Bowser. Also, when DK laughed, I thought for sure that was Seth Rogen! Bravo to the voice actors 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼

Peach wanted to spend time on Mario, because he was literally the only other human she had ever met. Meanwhile we don't know how often Bowser tries to take over the Mushroom Kingdom, but it's probably not a completely novel event.
Whoever voiced Jack Black sounded on point through most of the video! The only weaker (it was still very good) point was the singing but voice acting is notoriously hard while singing

Bowser only lost the final fight because he was acting like an RPG player who doesn't use any of their powerful items because they might need them later.

...The ironic thing is, listening to Take on Me during that Cart-Riding scene is arguably one of the best moments in the movie.

It actually bothered me most in the movie how easy it was for Bowser to acquire the star. You would think it would be the most heavily protected asset in the marioverse; not defended by weak penguins.
Whoever did the voice of DK did a well done job on Seth Rogen's laugh. Also, well done with Bowser's voice especially with his singing. Another thing is that i liked how Voldy said about Bowser's voice because Bowser has been silence in other HISHE shorts, especially the Villain Pub videos.
The Zelda reference, hands down the greatest Hishe moment for me!

3:25 Oh man, now that you pointed that out, I just can't unsee it. Bowser was right next to the Power Star and he could have used it at that very moment. Bowser originally only planned to have the Power Star to impress Peach but now that is off the table, there is no reason why he wouldn't just use it on Mario to destroy him.
I don't think it ever crossed his (nor the penguin king's) mind to use it in that way.
It's kind of fair that Bowser wouldn't use the Super Star on Mario. I mean, one is a gianr fire-breathing turtle and the other is your average New Yorker. I assume he would use the star if he were threatened by a greater force who tries to stop him.

I love how all of the voices sounded pretty close to the cartoon counterparts, except for the Mario voice. Which makes sense since Chris Pratt didn’t sound anything like Mario in the actual movie.

I mean Zelda has talked 5 times, once in the Zelda cartoon, twice in the 2 CDi games and twice in the 2 open world Zelda games on the Nintendo Switch whereas Link only talked 3 times, once in the Zelda cartoon and twice in the 2 CDi games.
@@sonidash216 uhh… all Zeldas do talk in the games. Links on the other hand, sure he does grunts and HYAHs, but there are some Links who talks. Wind Waker/Phantom Hourglass Link said “Hey!” or “Come on!”. The Hero’s Shade in Twilight Princess is also Hero of Time (Ocarina of Time/Majora’s Mask Link), so he talks and mentors his descendant, Twilight Princess Link. BotW/TotK Link does talk through dialogue options, however 100 years before BotW. He stayed silent due to his position as Hyrule’s chosen hero which makes him feel the world is watching him. So he thinks it’s necessary to stay strong and silent, but it also caused him to stop expressing his thoughts and feelings.
Don’t forget Link’s Awakening. He also had a small bit of dialogue in one scene.

Link and Zelda's cameo had me crying. The funny part is that they aren't even from the same game. Link looks close to his Skyward sword design and Zelda is clearly from Breath of the Wild, two games on the opposite end of the timeline. It would have been funny if HISHE had teamed up with TerminalMontange so that Bowser and Ganondorf could have a music battle. Bowser with his peach song and Ganon with Suavemente
The penguin thing was so true, and I was wondering the same thing (especially since they live in the arctic level world, so it would make sense for them to have easy access to ice flowers). Great job as always!!!!!

@Laura-ol5mt I'd agree. I did like how they made Bowser into a truly cruel, vicious, and powerful villain that needed a power that invincible in order to defeat him. And Luigi fighting alongside Mario gave him a true role as an equal to Mario, which I'm hoping continues.
I think it would be incredibly difficult for two invisible people to fight each other.
