Siemens PS2 Smart Positioner used as Remote Positioner

Smart Positioner can be used as Remote Positioner for avoiding damage from heat, vibration, humidity etc..

Dear sir,
have a good day.
i have recently facing problem in a a newly buying Siemens PS2 positioner connect with existing Single acting linear actuator , 20mm stroke.during comissioning this new control valve/actuator in initial condition its display shows P 85 and NOINI mode, at that time when i press + and - button the actuator totally not move.only small sound hearing inside the positioner and some air release backside of positioner , however pneumatic and electrical connection is ok.if i place old existing positioner there then it easily move
the actuator after pressing + and - key in NOINI mode.
Moreover when i go in Log 5 ,NOINITM mode 30% open the valve in both YEND1 and YEND2 once i press both + and - key.once i release button then actuator go to zero condition.it doesn't hold at all.
If its abnormal what can i do.would you please advice me.
if i press only either + or - button then actuator not move in YEND1 and YEND2 mode.but when i press both + and - button simultaneously then it open actuator only 30% but not hold at all then when press hand button its display range message.
will you please advice me its normal or abnormal?
Really i am facing a horrible condition for this positioner at my site and i am apologetically wish to get you kind advice please.

What model of Siemens positioner are you using?
I'm using sipart ps2 Hart pos. 6dr5120. Is this applicable for that configuration?

u can use any positioner which having POT for feedback. so u can use PS2(6DR5120).

Positioner already having POT so why u need another POT....so u can use the same POT. If you want use any other POT then max 10k ohms POT u can use ..
