These segments are good, but go further... it's the NHL and there's a salary cap and you have to give to get. What do the Canes do to improve at goaltending?
Honestly. Id just roll with Khochetkov. Give him a shot to see where hes at. Just make Freddy the 1B in the reg season or trade him for a cheaper option if they want.
@@crushdavis7048that’s also what I’d do. There’s a few goalies that might be available but how do you afford them and what do you trade to bring in a guy that may or may not actually be better than what you have.
I'm sure they figure it out. You know there is a reason why you are just a sofa surfer and the professionals run those teams.

Kotchkov is the future there. He either steps up or they need to get someone else. Anderson can’t do the heavy lifting anymore.
The other problem is, they're too reliant on puck possession and don't shoot enough. They're also a very soft team.
Don’t shoot enough? 3rd in the league this year in SF/G. Soft, maybe but I think I’d have to know how you’re defining soft first. They forecheck hard and have some big bodies that can do work. They win board battles. They don’t have Matt Rempe on their team but that’s a good thing. That kind of talentless goon is a relic of another era.
