Nice stone but I agree with you, I don't like bases as well. You had great results!

What are the main stones you need in your most humble opinion? I only have one and it’s the Spyderco stone. Your work is PHENOMENAL!

first of all thanks for viewing and dropping comments..appreciate it..
my main stone that i need the most is a fast cutting stone..around 300 to 1k grit..this is important to set up your bevel..the next progressions is only refinement if that make sense..the spyderco medium kinda sits in the middle of it..but more towards refining for me

I have a set of diamond stones from DMT. From coarse to Extra fine. After them to the Spyderco. Works perfectly fine. I use the Spyderco Ultrafine for the mirror polish and the extrem sharpness. That works really fine and none of that stone needs to be flatten

@@jensebu78 thanks for sharing..that works too..i got ultrasharp(300, 600 and 1200) and spyderco stone (med, fine and UF)..i just enjoy the pleasant experience (tactile feedback) from whetstone..

@@zulukiloedgewerxmy pleasure. 😊 I don't have that much stones. Sharpening was always a pain in the ass. Got the DMT wood box from a friend. Then I got quick results and razor sharp edges. So i want more. The Spyderco UF and medium was next. I find that you really feel good if you are doing it right on the Spydercos. But they are not cutting really fast. So i stay with the diamond and then going to the Spydercos. And, of course, stropping!
