I have a looootta arcade controllers for rhythm games so let's go through all of them! Because I... actually didn't know I have 19 of them in total until I sat down and counted in this video...
EDIT: SCRATCH THAT I FORGOT ONE CONTROLLER. I FORGOT THE GAMO2 K28 KEYBOARD CONTROLLER... Though, does that even count as an arcade controller? The most use I see out of it is for DJMax to be honest...
EDIT2: I called my friend's IIDX RES controller IIDX RED by accident, oops. Just remember it's a RES not a RED. Also, that controller is... I mean personally I think if you wanted to go for the full arcade experience you should just get a RED and not a RES! (it's the only IIDX con that I know of right now that you can't swap player sides too...)

what i learned from this video is to not lend my controllers to my friends
Always get payment up front
Yup agreed @Totoxri and never give your controllers to anyone unless you trust them to give it back when you want it.
I think the actual point is not to be friends with people that arent trustworthy. Good friends wouldnt do that stuff she said in that way
I think this was just a way to make all of her friends pay her back
Here's a list of everything that tokaku gave away:
- 2 LotusPro keypads
- A set of Chinese buttons
- Yuancon sdvx controller
- A set of Sanwa buttons (sold to a friend but not paid for)
- A pair of bachi (Destroyed by Jasper)
- Another pair of bachi (lent to a friend)
- A third pair of bachi (lent to tzechi)
- Divaller (project diva arcade party)
- DDR foam pad (lent to tzechi)
Yeah that's a lot
petition to get jasper to buy jolene another pair of bachi?

@@saidahrorspeedruns1065 She absolutely doesn't. She said that she wanted to make a video on gamer tape, but couldn't because one of the materials in it is illegal where she lives.
@@Jono997 What the heck is gamer tape and why is it banned in Singapore???
@@Tamanegi-P What is it? I have no idea.
Why is it illegal? It uses CBD oil, which is an illegal substance in Singapore.
Wow that's so many, but unfortunately even with all of those I still can't control my life
Maybe your controller is faulty
The newer yuancon sdvx cons have screws in the bottom so you can just remove the thin metal bottom and keep everything inside the controller.
yep I figured he'd go back to using that method because the newer yuancon SDVX controllers are much much larger
another coment?!?! here we go?!?!!?
@@antoniomendes3492 what
Compilation of friends who took controllers from tokaku
tokaku be like:
I'm not like other girls
I own 19 rhythm game controllers
I own 10 keyboard
Different ones as well
lol
2:53 she disliked her own video 😮😮 i can't believe tokaku would have done this to us 😭😭😭
She disliked the faucetwo review but she liked this one??? 5:00
I love listening to her talking about things I have no idea about.

Okay, question answered!
Still gonna watch the video, its cool
“we don’t talk about lotuspro”
oh boi
TLDR: A lot is with her friends, never to be seen again
I'm so happy that when I bought the yuancon platinum iidx con I picked the emp mat cover over acrylic for the turntable. It's soft but it has really good grip, definitely worth the $35 but I haven't seen Yuan offer it since.
This was really interesting even though I've never seen or played those games in my Country 😆 I really admire that you open your controllers and change buttons and all that!!
Where are you?

Osu but every time I get a 200 I switch controllers
The double strum is actually really useful for playing top level guitar hero charts! You can flick your finger over it to register two strums, we call that “rake strumming”. :)
unironically why i switched to iidx instead - at the top level of clone hero you cheese A LOT of stuff. That's also why I don't like osu!mania
Yo the youtube poll vid! This is going to be a VERY NICE video, keep up the good work!
Tokaku, the dealer who sells controller for free
the fact that she said not to buy gaomon/huion made me turn into a skull emoji
- *an artist*
Buying a drrawing tablet for art or osu! is VERY different.
Considering I own 18 arcade sticks for fighting games, I completely understand why you have 19 rhythm game controllers.
Woah you own the groove coaster booster controller?! Man I love that game!
Tokaku is collecting those controllers like they are pokemon cards
such an amzing video! great job tokakuuu!
I like how everything something breaks its when you lend it to someone
21:21 not to mention, but also sometimes for stuff like L-teks we have to penny mod for sensitivity
I remember they got a new version? Does that still need to penny mod that?
@@zxc930213 yeah, it does still need penny mod lol
And, for refrence it has problems with usb 3.0 ports, so I use my 2.0 port on my gaming laptop
There will be a fix for it soon or i think its out now idk
just here to say I LOVE your content
There's an official Pop'n ASC Konami released for Lively that's quieter than the DAO one, but not only it's sold directly from Konami and more expensive than a DAO, but they don't use the regular switches an official cabinet or even a stock DAO uses. However they are a lot easier to make it even more quiet compared to a DAO so there's that.
Now this makes me want to see you try an Ongeki controller, that game looks like hell on the arcade cabinets and I haven't seen many reviews for that game or their controllers lol
(I know Yuancon and Gamo have one in the works)
13:37 I recognized that song from the "Music make you lose control - various artists" mix, thank god I know the original song now lmao
Great video btw!
Btw about the waccom buttons freezing cursor, you can disable the buttons in the waccom driver.
But the problem is not Wacom
@@Puffle573 i had the problem of freezing the cursor myself bc the waccom pen locks movement for the two mousewheel buttons. I just disabled them there and it worked perfectly fine afterwards
@@InfernoTune727 Valid reason
@@InfernoTune727 I tried disabling and it didn't work, this is the same as the gaomon's nib freezing whenever I tapped even when disabled. So in the end for both I had to rip those off
@@tokaku huh. weird stuff. welp shouldnt be too much of a hindrance now xD
You have a lot! I have 7 controllers if we count Quest 2 for Beat Saber only as a controller.
You should definitely try DTXMania with a cheap e-drum kit (you can get a decent used mesh kit for 200USD). I got it like half a year ago and it's been my go to rhythm game ever since, it's just so fun and rewarding as a lot of the charts are mapped to be real drum covers of the songs. Oh and you can use the e-drum for taiko in osu!lazer as well (finally MIDI input in osu) which is quite fun.
I had the exact same issue with the freezing tablet. You need to reinstall the Wacom drivers and then make sure the Wacom service is running in the “services” page in settings on windows. You might have to stop and manually restart it.
22min of pure passion ! i loved it
Geez, I feel broke now
to be fair, some of these are gave to tokaku for free for review and stuff purposes
i collect and mod fights ticks casually. These sound vortex controllers are really freaking cool.
14:21 don't wrap your cables like that!!! it can deform the plastic
wait. what!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
You mean damage the cables ? Deforming the plastic is pretty hard to do with just cables.
@@crashniels No, I mean the plastic on the thing you're wrapping it around. I don't remember exactly why, but it has something to do with heat. It takes a long time, but still, better safe than sorry.
@@aprilnya It only happens on certain materials
The funny part is I was thinking a few days ago how many controllers you have in total
the xplorer usually have that strum issue after pretty intensive use. you can fix it through putting tape between the strum bar and body specifically on the edge, not the middle because nothing makes contact there) to help elleviate the issue. most players take advantage of this issue however to perform rake strumming which let's you strum substantially faster.
What this guy said
Fun look at things. Thanks for making the video.
The GITADORA controller really reminds me of the Fender Stratocaster controller packaged with rock band
This may not a topic related but thanks for making me inspired to make videos!
Ok, a few thoughts; 1. Yuan has gotten better PCBs, and there's also a person who sells even more powerful PCBs, but currently out of stock because of nanochip shortages. 2. There's still a site that sells the lights you can put in controllers (at least in the US) and they're really reliable as far as I can tell. 3. I'm pretty sure you can buy disc pads for IIDX controllers. I personally haven't done really any research on it but I've heard people doing it before. Awesome video!
I have pink new lights in my phoenixwan and I love them. That dude ran a good business and I hope he makes more because I want new ones haha
Damn that's a lot of controllers and I am surprised that you got my pop'n controller close up shot
my old twitter archive backed it up apparently oops
Ahh okay. Good choice of picture tbh
21:38 Hey, my old reddit comment has appeared!
I remember being disappointed with my old Energy foam pads. Shortly after, I bought two DForce soft pads. With some soft pad modding, I was able to comfortably play DDR level 14s and it lasted around a year when eventually those pads ended up giving out. However, I would recommend them if you're new to DDR and want a cheap option!
-proud owner of a smx stage pad :p
I have a wacom one too and had the button problem aswell, just disable buttons from driver settings no need to rip them off lmao
Tokaku is so straight to the point that I didn't need to watch the video to know how many controllers she owns
I had the same issue with the pen buttons making it freeze, so I ripped them off same as you did. RIP pen buttons, you will not be missed
Foam ddr pads are okay. Ppl getting this smx pads more often now. Only thing is, its pricey. You could always get the EZMAX controller to play popn. Has 9 iidx style buttons. Ofcourse its much smaller than arcade popn controller, but atleast you can play the game lol. Tasoller was the next con I wanted to get. Seems interesting. Nice vid, always love when you post. Keep it up!
I hope to GAWD you can get a gamo2 chunithm controller because I have been eyeing it for a hot minute
I need a groove coaster controller i always grind that when im at an arcade
While you were talking about the Project DIVA controllers, 1 2 Fanclub got into my head somehow (and I checked the video, that song isn't there?) and I had to quickly grab my 3DS and boot up Mirai DX to play the song. I'm not comfortable letting the comment end here, so here's how I did:

came for the content left with knowing that ur friends break everything
i'm constantly wondering how tokaku acts like she didn't care that most of her controllers that she lent to her friends thanos-ed themselves out of existence and broke.
Good video :D, but im laughing because you have 19 and i only play with the keyboard x'D
Living in Australia, beat games are a rare find in the remaining arcades that are left around the city. However in 1998 to 2000 they were everywhere. Beatmania, DDR, pop n music, para para paradise, drum mania etc. However due to the console market the games never really made it to our shores other than DDR and beatmania 1 and later on guitar hero and rockband.
I recently picked up a knockoff tatacom from AliExpress and have been loving getting back into these games.
What other budget friendly controllers so you know off available on AliExpress for random and unique rhythm games I could try?
You're making me want to buy some for myself
i played a Taiko no Tatsujin at the arcade 3 days ago fell in love nearly died and just oderd a drum but realized how easy it is to make one so might make a full arcade size one like the lv5 if i outgrow the baby
That ipad is nice but i own the iPad Pro 2020 and its actually REALLLLLY SMOOTH for games like RoBeats , FNF , Arcaea, and some other rythm games.
Now that you have some electronics under your belt, maybe you can take on the GH controller, and fix the pogo pin issue ala MattKC.
damn you have a lot of controllers lol nice controllers tho. i have the smx pad and the faucetwo sdvx, the smx pad is actually *way* better than the ddr pads. when i went to the arcade again after using the smx pads, the arcade pads felt like toys compared to the smx pad.the regret that i have is getting the cheaper buttons for the yuancon because they feel really cheap, but it still works fine so it doesn't really matter much
This video made me remember the Wacom tablet i lent to my friend 2 years ago
With every video I watch I want to play SDVX more, but the round1 in my city's opening got delayed due to C-virus, I want them to open soon, I want to try SDVX and WACCA!!
Dunno what a arcade party is but now I want one 😭
I want to get into iidx at home so thank you for the heads up on the KOC controllers, I was thinking about dropping £90 on one on ebay instead of holding out for yuancon/gamo2 controller
do NOT. DO NOT. buy from eBay they are overpriced. Get a proxy service you’re gonna have to pay for shipping but the KOCs are insanely cheaper than eBay’s
was anyone else trying to figure out ,what i assume is her brother, was playing in the background. Im pretty sure it was apex because of the reloading animation i think it was a mastiff
15:29 we see the small vortex controller but its not in the video give it some love :(
idk who that is in the back but damn he is GAMING
I don't play many PC games, more of a retro gamer, so I think I technically have around 20-25 controllers... probably 2 of most of them ofc. They are mostly dirt cheap, though a couple are a little modded.
We gotta make a trombone controller for her to complete the collection
i have that same ipad and i just downloaded arceae because its your favorite game
I just realized that the ending music is probably the Instrumental from Omoi's Teo
It's a remix of Teo, not the original instrumental, but yes.
I'm curious about the o2c keypad. How good is it in terms of every aspect of what a rhythm gamer wants?
sometime i hate my country's timezone cuz i can't watch your stream. Like everytime you stream it's like 1 AM in my timezone :v
10:00 PUT THOSE GRIPPERS AWAY
i have a gaomon s620 and havent ran into any of the problems you mentioned
2:33 tokaku for using light mode
The guy behind just became a kill leader in the intro lol
All of these controllers are so cool especially the arcade like ones I’m so in love with how people still make controllers to give that of the feel of the respective arcade cabinets
I wish the Gitaller had a left handed hook. That's why I bought the Konami Premium Model instead.
damn, that's a lot of controllers. i got like, only a DDR mat that i got in a garage sale and a 15 bucks guitar hero controller, buy those kinds of controllers on Brazil is mad expensive
tokaku is the queen of rythm games
change my mind
2:53 ive seen people who like their own vids but ive never seen anyone dislike their own video lol
Acrylic will ALWAYS crack. The company needs to use plastic washers or just add them yourself and watch how much torque you use. The svre9; add some fabric pull tabs and that will solve the acrylic bending from the magnets. The company should have added them or use a thicker acrylic piece.
IDK if Voltex or IIDX is the game I should start. Either way, both controllers are sold out. I see the yuancon IIDX controller available, but someone advised me against that brand.
18:40 That guitar hero explorer is worth alot fyi, it's the best you can get for playing clone hero because it is wired, i wish i had one tbh but it's hard to come by one nto going for a crazy amount of money
Arguably outclassed these days by the Wii controllers that can hook up wired with an arduino or pico-based adapter and achieve even lower latency. Not to mention the DIY options with 3D printed shells and keyboard switches you can build or buy now.
@@SoundToxin fair fair
I was looking at a chunithm controller as well, but i didnt find any game to actually use it on pc so i didnt get one
so many cases of lent to friend and it gets returned damaged or not returned at all, even with the one you "sold" but haven't received the money. look out for yourself fren
20:34 I remembered that I have heard a news about a guy in Japan get murdered by his sister cuz his pop'n controller is too loud
it never thought that tokaku would have superstar jyp on her ipad
when you customise sa controller to a upgded version does your electricity bill get higher?? because it depends on the mods if you add than to replace(except replace higher gear)right??
I have...hmmm...6. Project Diva Hori Controller, Groove Coaster Genbu Controller, Sound Voltex Two Faucet (can't remember the brand), Taiko No Tatsujin Controller for the Switch, PS2 Beatmania Controller, and PS1 Pop n' Music Controller.
What switches do you use in your 3 key keypad?
