Mass Effect 2 - Recruiting Archangel - Switching sides - Squadmate comments

- This video is a compilation of comments your squadmates can make during Archangel's recruitment mission when you reach Archangel and betray the mercs.
As the mercs begin storming Archangel's base, your squadmates will evaluate Archangel's poor odds and encourage Shepard's squad not to wait around too long and help him out.
After you meet Archangel (who turns out to be Garrus Vakarian), you'll start planning your escape. Garrus explains that the bridge has saved his life, but isn't a suitable way out. Your squadmates will come to the conclusion that waiting is not an option.
After you take out the first wave of mercs and plan your next move, an explosion is heard on the lower level, to which your squadmates will react.
You can make a choice between leaving one of your squadmates behind to help Garrus out. Some will be more hesitant than others.
To stop the Blood Pack infiltration team from getting in through the lower levels, Shepard will be tasked to close the two shutters on the opposite sides of the basement. If you take too long, Garrus will get increasingly frustrated as it gets more difficult to hold the mercs off. If you left a squadmate behind, they will also urge you to hurry.
At the end of the mission, Garrus will be critically injured by Tarak's gunship. Your squadmates will express concern over Garrus' rapidly worsening condition.

This channel has been soooooo helpful. I've been busy writing a fanfic that covers the entire trilogy and between finishing assignments for the semester and other personal endeavours, it's been difficult getting around to making note of all the different dialogue options (that and I also gravitate towards the familiar options that I've been using for the past 14 years). I wonder if leaving another sniper with Garrus lets him fare better than leaving other squadmates. I'm guessing the answer is no, the wiki doesn't seem to mention any difference and only says that he will survive longer with a teammate than without one.
I'm not sure how different squadmates impact the timer, but I do know there was no difference between Insanity and Casual difficulties.
I prefer to take Grunt with me and leave Zaeed with Garrus. Grunt's an effective counter against the Blood Pack with his quick healing and incendiary ammo.
@@EmilyOnGames Now that I think of it, you can't have Thane or Legion here without save editing and Zaeed is DLC, so with the way the game launched, you wouldn't have had another sniper to leave with him anyway.
@@stevenstice6683 For me, it's the reverse in that I leave Grunt with Garrus, my reason being that he's better able to fight in close quarters especially against Garm.

I can't believe that whole thing sounded so perfect together like that! Like they were reacting to it and each other's questions at the same time.
Also, why did Mordin at 5:46 sounded almost like Garrus there?

Is there a video that shows what happens if Garrus's vital signs gets totally depleted? Do you just get a critical mission failure and restart or does that game continue?

But to answer your question, yes, you'll need to reload if Garrus' health drops to 0.
