Mass Effect 2 - Jack Loyalty Mission (All Squad Dialogue)

- Also known as the 200th video on this channel.
This is the largest dialogue undertaking I've done, surpassing Okeer's mission by quite a decent chunk. Granted it is not all dialogue and I skip one part of it (just before you land, not everyone has dialogue there though Garrus did as you can see).
A little project like this takes a total of 4 hours, 2½ spent recording and the other 1½ spent rendering and editing it, which is quite a lot.
Biggest obstacles are the actual recording, it takes effort to force yourself to play through a combat sequence and then record a single line that's not any different from the other party members lines.
Now I couldn't fit it all into one video, for some reason the unlimited video length I was given was taken away for reasons unknown otherwise this would have been a 20 minute video so the conclusions to the mission which themselves take over 5 minutes in their entirety is in a separate video.
Regarding the mission itself, in an afterthought it's probably the most disturbing in the game. It's like those side missions in ME1 where you face off with Cerberus and you get this glimpse of what they are capable of. Kasumi sort of nails the creepiness of it all quite well.
And lastly, this is my 200th video, I'd like to thank all of my subscribers for sticking around and hope you'll enjoy these two videos. As seldom as I make these kind of videos these days, this one never felt as a chore like some of my other bigger projects did. - Hry
I like how Kasumi and Zaeed are the most disturbed by the morgue!
Kasumi, a a snarky thief, abotu to puke and Zaeed, a destruction loving madman horrified.... Annnnnd then you have Legion...
*THESE FACILITIES ARE INADEQUATE*
Kasumi once saved a little girl from pirates, and she thanked her with an art piece she painted. Kasumi clearly has a soft spot for kids.
"They kept children here"
"They kept kids here"
"They kept kids here"
"They kept kids here"
"They kept kids here"
"These facilities are inadequate!
lol!
Kinda interesting that Legion even realizes that. Geth 'sleep' standing up at a power-node thing alongside other geth platforms. They need little space and no amenities at all.
I find it exceptionally interesting, that Zaeed, a man that they say, he has no real concience, is mortifed to even hear of these atrocities.
Most interesting dialogue he has is if you bring him on Jacob's loyalty mission. He really hates Ronald Taylor. Considering how Zaeed was betrayed by his own crew and shot in the head anyone who betrays their own crew deserves a knife in the back in his book. He isn't just horrified in that mission he is outright pissed.
It's especially ironic since one of his stories involved kidnapping a teenager and forcing her to seduce a soldier with grenades hidden under her clothes.
They didn't go off, but the fact stands.
Someone pointed out Jessie "being a blood thirsty bitch", disassociating his actions through his rifle, could have been his way of coping with his work and the reason he's not a rabid, slobbering psychotic taking potshots at anyone who looks at him wrong.
Aw, Kasumi was almost in tears. :(
Just played this mission last night with Kasumi. Her comment in the morgue had me in tears for the rest of the mission.
Also Zaeed. For someone who's a ruthless mercenary, he's horrified by the experiments.
How is it that the DLC characters are the most emotional out of all of them?
Helps make up for the fact that they half-assed the DLC characters in every other way. Sad too, these two have a lot of potential.
Ty so much for doing this video, instead of me going through all characters myself. Seems like the most logical choise is to bring Mordin or Miranda to this mission. Both lore wise, or gameplay wise (on insanity they are good against armor).
I can see like you said where you left off on some dialogue. Like, in the "child arena" area, I think a few people like Zaeed comment how sick it was that they did this to children.
Awww, yeah bless Kasumi, her heart nearly breaking at the thought of all those kids that were murdered and experimented on, poor thing, I can never stand seeing or hearing the sadness in a pretty girl's voice, nor in her eyes or face. It makes me sad and almost in tears to hear it from her the most, especially from Kasumi who is so upbeat and cheery and positive in most moments of ominus threat and danger and all, but, here on Pragia, she makes everyone else feel like crying at the thought of it, even before her tale of saving a little girl sold into slavery at an auction and being moved and rembering how she thanked Kasumi as a child artist on the way back to safety with a painting she did for her and all, bless her. I think I can now imagine Kasumi becoming, at least a mother and a foster mother, perhaps, to her first adopted child, post-Reaper War because of her care and love involving kids and stuff related to little kids in really rough and bad situations.
Also, Zaeed looks like at the verge of throw up thinking in this atrocities.
"I can never stand seeing or hearing the sadness in a pretty girl's voice"
Ah, but if she's not pretty, who cares, amirite? /s
This is.. Unbelievble.
Everyone: this is... Unbelievable
Grunt: Anyone else hungry?
Wow. I never realized until now that the tables were for dissecting child corpses. Only Kasumi and Mordin make that observation plain in their commentary.
"Sounds like this facility went rogue."
Congrats! Such dedication!
Thanks for this!
everyone has a line they wont cross. Screwing children up is like super taboo
Jack... disturbs me. I know she had problems, but she needs some serious counseling. BAD. Paragon Shepard fixes Jack's psyche up quite a bit, but Renegade Shepard just makes her more fucked up in the head than she already was.
@takkyu101
I love that outfit except for the sunglasses. For this video where she is the main focus I decided that having her in the default outfit would be better or "effective".
I love Kasumi
@CharmieKid
More like...
Everyone else: They kept children?
Legion: Irrelevant. The structural integrity of this facility is sub-par and inadequate.
Yupp
Christ your Shepard is terrifying
JACKKK....
As someone who brings who I like to think are the "right" squadmates for certain missions, I thought Grunt was perfect as like Jack HE too was an experiment (except even with Okeer's flaws, he appeared to love Grunt before ever giving him a name... Jack was not so lucky). Plus, I like to bring Jack to Grunt's loyalty quest, thinking of her venting SOME stress (and makes sense given the Citadel DLC and the Arena minigame).
Mordin, being a scientist also works.
i get what your saying but i look at it this way and this might sound harsh but killing children is a quick death, while experimentation and torture leaves them alive and to suffer but definetly seeing Grunt disturbed means this was a bad place
@MsMascarpone Funny part is, I said what Garrus said... I didnt even fully looked at the video at first, hah.
2:46 - wow, her biotic powers must allow her to walk through railings because that's what she walked into
Say, jj0ck33...is Jack your favorite character, by any chance?
Nice upload, btw; it's good to see that the other squadmates are disgusted by these past events on this rogue facility (altho', it makes me wonder what would Morinth say if she dropped her facade...).
One more reason to hate Cerberus, as usual...
I feel like I'm the only one that liked the sunglasses...
My question is did you get any Pragon Points or did you get that AND Renegade Points?
What's that thing you did there when shooting? When you zoomed in and stuff slowed down? I want that! Would be fucking handy for my Shep
That's soldier's skill Adrenaline Rush, in both ME2 and 3. Widow is a weapon soldiers or infiltrators can pick as a bonus.
Hmmm, interesting words coming from one who goes by the alias "Kratos"XD (just kiddingXD). Somehow, I don't see Zaeed hesitate to anything, if it would have been for the sake of his revenge (we all know what he did, or was ready to do, to get itXD). Other than that, he is rather calm, and avoids unnecessary violence. Well, this s#%t on Praggia was really serious, even Grunt sounded a little disturbed by what they saw.
lol I can't watch it because it literally says it's being processed.
@jj0ck33 What difficulty was this on
@MsMascarpone Moreso all of the things being said :D
@MsMascarpone Oh I get it lol
@takkyu101 I liked them too!
I wonder what Miranda would have to say about this.,
Hey what is your femsheps facecode?
Why no grunt in the beginning? He doesn't make a comment?
@jj0ck33 Alright, it's good now
why didn't you do Jacob's loyalty mission? there's unique dialogue for every squaddie there too.
I don't know. I was active with recording most of this stuff 10 years ago and in hindsight I was probably aware of it but never got around to it.
@@jj0ck33 just a slip of the mind?
@@kingofmonsters14 In hindsight I would probably say I wasn't motivated enough to do it at the time. The most reasonable answer is that I was most likely aware of not having recorded a video of that mission at the time. However recording these videos were often tedious and always involved replaying a single segment, tabbing out to the save editor to change party member and then redoing it 10 times. At worst that would also involve a lenghty combat sequence that would have to be replayed. I know that the driving factor behind recording and uploading these videos were seeing views pop off. The video we are commenting on is one I did later on which I at the time was very satisfied with but never got the views I felt it deserved compared to the first ones I uploaded when the game was brand new.
I hope that clarifies why some content may have been glossed over at the time. I think that might be the actual answer rather than the mission itself.
@@jj0ck33 ah. right. redoing multiple times would be a pain. imagine doing it for ME3.
@@jj0ck33 well, with Legendary Edition, you could finish up and do the ones you missed
Why bring Thane to an extremely moist planet tho
Worse is taking alien squaddies except Tali to Mordin recruitment but they all have better dialogue than humans - except if you pair humans with Grunt and they react.
Does this get her loyal?
Yeah, it does.
This video would be better, if you just skip pointless moments and went straight to dialogues.
