    • @theCameraVille
      @theCameraVille  Před 2 měsíci

      A capture card is a device used to record and stream video and audio from various sources, such as gaming consoles, cameras, or other computers. It acts as an intermediary between the source device and the display or recording system, converting the video and audio signals into a digital format that can be stored, streamed, or edited on a computer.
      Capture cards are commonly used by gamers, content creators, and broadcasters to capture high-quality footage of gameplay, live events, or other content for use in videos or live streams. They can be external devices connected via USB or internal cards installed in a computer's PCIe slot. The Ipad dont have this slot.

    I use cascable - it does work well but the file system can be very slow. Especially when you have a lot of images on the camera. It sometimes takes forever to look through them - especially when a client is waiting. I am looking for a faster solution to the file system problem. Also some of the features on cascable are way slower then in the camera. For instance their bracketing feature takes forevor compared to doing it in camera - which means you have to disconnect and reconnect all the time. I am typically shooting on location fyi. In a studio this might not be that much of an issue. Just my 2 cents. I am running a Nikon Z6II.

    So I'm getting ready to photograph the upcoming total solar eclipse in N America. I have my Canon 80D tethered to my iPad 9th gen, running Cascable, works great.
    My question is can I use an external power source for the iPad while it's tethered to the camera?
    There's Apple Lightning to USB 3 Camera Adapter that plugs into the Lightning port of the iPad and has a power port and a usb c port on the other end but I'm not sure it allows data transfer and some reports say it tries to power the camera also and gets the error message " “Cannot Use Accessory, This accessory requires too much power".
