The part about Pep being supported fully by the powers that be and them caring more about the process than result is so underrated. He says he feels protected because the board bought into the idea and when they lose the board wants to know what can we do to make things better...which is different to the environment he experienced from Barca and Bayern... this is such an important part of running a company even outside football, having managers who care about process and know that the best results come from the right process and those are generally sustainable 🙌🏽

As Cozzy says, the whole project was started with the hope of bringing Pep in. And as you say, it definitely shows how important this support structure is. No surprise then that this is Pep's longest time as a manager at a club. The club want him to succeed and will do anything to make it happen. What a brilliant environment for him to work in. Not even close to being top 5 managers of all time yet LOL.
Sir Alex, Carlo Ancelotti, Lippi, Rinus Michels, Arrigo Sacchi, Del Bosque.
Pep’s football is actually very defensive. It’s keep the ball for 70% possession because Without that I don’t know how to setup my teams to actually defend without the ball. His so called Great Barca team only reached 2 UCL finals thanks to the referees (2009 Chelsea scandal and 2011 Arsenal RvP scandal when Arsenal were 30 minutes away from going through).
Pep took over a treble winning Bayern, and could NOT even win the UCL with Bayern in his 3 years. Then came to the Premier League, came 3rd with City, couldn’t adapt his tactics so he sold his entire defense and bought a new backline in order to win the league.
On the other hand, Manchester United (under Sir Alex) are the Only English team to win the Premier League and UCL in the same season. And he’s done it twice (99 and 08). Sir Alex is also the Only manager to win the Premier League title 3 years in a row (this also he’s done twice: 99-01 and 07-09).

Listening to Pep, and then listening to Ole, makes me depressed. This guy is knowledgeable, passionate and confident. Complete opposite of Ole.

Am Manutd fan but its just shame how you can see the different between passion and fear
      Between leadership and failure
Am taking about Pep x Ole
      Ruben x Maguire
City are lucky to have both of them

u can’t compare ole to pep u just can’t the experience of pep is 100 miles away from ole. Ole just started his manager career 5/6 years ago I would have guess give ole 2-3 more years maybe he can compete with pep

Ruben Dias. Future Portugal national team captain the way he handles himself. Outstanding against Paris SG last night. Had Mbappe contained all night.

As a UTD fan am gutted we paid 80 mil for maguire while this guys was available for 60. Sounds like a Captain and a true organizer at the back. He even makes Stones look like a decent defender.
