66 thru 69, forever.
August 3, 2021 --> I'm 64-years-old now, born in 1957, so I was still in single digits when this released, but I remember it well and have listened to it throughout the years. I was really happy to see Bowie re-release it on his total cover album, "Pin ups". Thanks MusicMike!
What a great song LOVE IT
I'd love go back to the 60's lol
I was just 11 years old when this song came out. I was living in Los Angeles at the time. Love this song and the group.
Thank you for keeping my music alive
Great band, great song, great sound.......thanks as always MusicMike!!
Oh! The memories!
Great collection of songs
one of the greats of the sixties, both band and track !
Stunning... looking back now I my fifties, there was SO MUCH HOPE in the 60s music.... we need a modern day hippie movement with this kind of hope...minus the drugs.
vetb882 why minus the drugs? That was the best part!
I agree with No Drugs!!!

Hauntingly , prophetic words for our day my friend !!. (2022 ) phenominal lead guitars playing at the end of this song match the dire message written in the lyrics of this song , sounds like it's for today ! 2022.
TFS ! !excellent faux stereo
Is an excellent song for the year 2022
Great song, Thanks

Mike Thanks for Keeping Our Music Alive!!!
Thanks for uploading this gem from the 60s. One of my favorites from that era. Great audio!!
very nice sound and I'm only listening directly from my tablets stereo speakers. listening to you in Playlist takes me back to childhood days. thank you!
love this song have the vinyl album AAAAAAA++++++
Thanks Mike YOU ROCK
brilliant
Nice job ! Thanks again ....!
thanks MusicMike ......your channel rocks. Your really doin the lords work here.
Man, I love it, thank you!!!
Nice video!
I remember reading about how producers in England would combine rhythm and blues with Military Brass music. 1965 and 1966 was a watershed year for producers like George Martin who would distort the guitar amp to get that bomb or air-raid sound.
Awesome Mike! 😎
Nice bit of work on the del -
(is that an Orban Parasound???)
Like to hear more!
I like this enhanced version. Was there ever a true stereo version of this song ever released?
🐸 Music!
Great job mate, as always! Thanx! May I suggest you'd treat "Evil Hearted You" by the Yardbirds as well..?
It may be a crude and simple duophonic aka electronic stereo conversion that could already be done back in the day, but at least it's the one duophonic version on YT that's also greatly re-mastered when it comes to frequency range, compression according to equal-loudness curves, low noise, and with a high encoding quality. All other versions are either duophonic uploaded at a lower quality, mono, or very bad recent home-made stereo mixes that flutter, pump, bad intrumental seperation, and/or have no feeling for how a natural stereo version of the song's sound should be like.
Another duophonic mix. I have a puesdo stereo sync of version 1 & 2 (out of print) and it's a pretty close.
Hi music Mike! I love all your simulated stereo songs especially the ones you did for the animals and yardbirds. It appears your playing the album in the footage, did you simulate the whole album, and if so could you put the whole albums on youtube? That would be a real treat.
Possibly. I'm spending a lot of time on my internet radio station kvkvi.com which features "Music Mike's Flashback Favorites". Simulating the whole album will take considerable time......
So many of the British recordings of the 60's -- Beatles, Stones, Kinks, Yardbirds, Searchers, Hollies, Gerry & Pacemakers, et al -- were originally released in either mono or a horribly mixed electronically rechanneled stereo. It seemed the norm before 1968. Your attempt to simulate stereo is very convincing.
Eric, Jeff and Jimmy were Yardbird lead guitarists. Jeff Beck is heard here on "Shapes of Things," released by Columbia Records UK and marketed in US by Epic Records. Chris Dreja and Paul Samwell-Smith shared bass guitar duties.
"Simulated" stereo? Heck, this is the same sound as my "real stereo" at home had for this record, a 45. Lol
Jennifer Claypoole Miller ---yes, "re-channeled' stereo back then.
+Jennifer Claypoole Miller It's actually duophonic. The left channel is slightly ahead of the right. Normally you compensate but turning the volume up on the second channel to balance the sound. Early Beach Boy and a few Beatle records used this technique. Anyone with Audacity can do this
Where do you get the masters for these songs? You must get them for somewhere in order to do this great work.
No masters. Just a lot of tweaking in my studio.......thanks!
Mike --quic question...how are you able to post these to youtube without copyright infringment?
I've had many videos removed by CZcams since I began Flashback Favorites in 2007. My estimate would be around 100. At one point around 2014, it seemed like every video I uploaded would be rejected. I became discouraged and decided to focus my efforts on my internet radio station at www.kvkvi.com. It features all of my Flashback Favorite songs...plus more hits from the 60s through the 90s. I pay for music licensing on the radio station. It is featured here on my CZcams channel. That may be why I have been fortunate to have avoided most copyright claims. Also, there have been several artist/groups that have rallied for me with the suits at Google.
English Blues Bass Guitarists!!??
