I will never understand why robin trower's isn't that more recognized.he can play better than most of people honored by the rocking roll hall of Fame.
rock and roll...
The r&r hall of fame is a joke, we know the real ones.
One of the greatest songs of all time! By one of the greatest guitarists of all time!
First heard BOS on the radio (Freeman I think on a Saturday afternoon show?) when I was 16 ish - 65 now - and still lovin' it!
DAY THE EAGLETS SHIT
1974 at Ft Bragg NC, a guy in another apartment says, “hey man, come over and listen to this”. BLOWN AWAY. Thanks Robin.
When this LP would get cued up , whole barracks heard it

The No more Worlds to Conquer Tour 👍.
I'm going TWICE!!! DETROIT And CHICAGOs
@@les-qy9lv Last time I saw Robin was at least 20+ years ago when he played at Grant Street in Lafayette, LA. Got to stand right in front of him and he was great. His guitar tech gave me a bag of Robin Trower picks. Robin talked and signed autographs for anyone after the show out back. So real and genuine. Major influence in my guitar playing.
Got to meet Robin at Tangiers in Akron Ohio.
Super friendly nice person.
He signed a Bridge of Sighs 180 Fridays pressing.
When I handed it to him to sign he said "Oh, somebody bought this". Smiled and said, "Thank you".
BTW, what a show. I had front-row. Tangiers was small, so any seat was amazing.
Robin played right in front of me. Incredible.
From me to you now. Robin, thank you.
Years ago, i had that album..then I sold my entire collection in a garage sale..1 of my regrets in life!
50 years ago Bridge of Sigh was released amazing album. After Robin left Procol Harum, he started his own powerhouse trio. Keep Rocking Robin.
sighs...
Get your surgery then get well and carry on!
I feel fortunate to have seen you and your band back in the 70's in Germany. Good luck with your health and take care of yourself. Your music means so much to me and the rest of your fans. Godspeed!
What a great guitarist, what great music. Still not in the Rock and Roll Hall of Shame. I saw him on tour in 1975, I never saw anyone enjoying himself so much on stage, he never stopped smiling while he played.
After I heard the Bridge Of Sighs album with this as the opening track, I became a Trower fan for life! I saw him in 1987, and again in 2017, when I got to meet him. Now, I have tickets to see him this September in Milwaukee. I can't wait!
What a very pleasant surprise! This first track off Bridge of Sighs is what started my lifelong Trower fanhood. You are a true master, sir. 🤩
Don’t forget one of the best singers of all time 🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉❤❤❤❤❤❤
Robin Trower is one of the mosr underrated classic hard rock guitarist's of all time.
He deserves a way more credit than he ever recieved and I just posted this video on both Reddit and Quora.
I feel honored and blessed to have seen this man play live at The House of Blues here in Cleveland. Robin played like he was 25 years old and at the peak of his youth. He still does with his new music!!! The man is a musician's musician. He plays for the love of music and creating it. I don't know if the folklore is true, but it has been said that Jimi Hendrix thought of Robin Trower as the "white Hendrix" and admired his prowess on the Fender Strat. Maybe Robin can elaborate on that claim??????
RIP Jimmy Dewar, great voice.
I blew out not one but two sets of Jensen co-axial speakers blasting this album. Still sounds terrific!
Thank you so much!❤
Your music has left an indelible mark on my existence! I appreciate you so much! God Bless you Robin Trower❤
Agreed Robin Trower was so underrated like other guitarists!!! He is one of my favorite guitarists!! Iconic !!!😁🤘🤘🤘🤘👍👍👍✌️✌️✌️✌️
I loved this album as a kid! It was magic. What a great list of albums I listened to. The 70's have never been matched for great acts that could really sing and play instruments live. Damn, I miss that!
I was introduced to Robin Trower when my dad decided to play Day of the Eagle with his band back in the early 90’s.. I was like, “Did you write that?”
I’ve been a fan ever since.
And now I play it. 🤙🏼
Fifty years ago this song came on the radio and changed my life.
A great song. Robin Trower's music is awesome. Cheers! ✌️🎸
Thanks!
I play all your songs on my broken guitar
You are my childhood and adult guitar hero❤🙏🙏🎵🎶🎸🔥
Remember this 1980 in concert. Trower is definitely one of the best 🎸🎶🎵 ever ‼️ It would have been great to see Trower, Beck and Alvin Lee 🇬🇧 on stage together jamming ‼️👍
That tone! The intensity! The riff bursts with energy, like doing a line of coke! (So I've been told!)
People say underated, but everyone i knew, had this album & loved it!
My ears are still ringing from when i saw him @ winterland sometime in the 70's cheers 🍻
...hearing damage...
Lord Jesus bless you brother.🙏🙏🙏👍👍👍
Selah !❤
Saw him live for the first time in 1983 and was hooked for life. Trower Power forever.
This whole album is badass bridge of signs and twice removed from yesterday both A1 classic albums !!!💯🔥🔥🔥🔥
Seen a few times. Great Guitarist and I believe he never really got the credit he deserves. Great times to be ALIVE back then!!
I needed that!
Since 1974. Riding around in high school with my friends in Derk's van. Smoking up some. Good memories.
Most underrated Rock and Roll band EVER!
❤this is what starts the album and started my love for every song on this album 1st pick on a deserted island but not necessarily I have every song in my head
A great song from one of the greatest albums of all time!
Incredible visuals to my all time favorite RT song!!!!!
TroWWWERRR
This album was released when I was in my first year of college. Had on both LP and 8-track, flat wore them both out!
Very underrated artist jimmy dewar was great too . Had 3of his albums back in the day .
One of my RT favorites! Thanks for all the great music!!
Day of the Eagle, from then till now.
Absolutely one of the best of all time, met him at concert in performance hall, Chattanooga, Tennessee, gave me his pick😂😂😂
Great! Thanks Robin and Co.! Been a big fan many of years! Bridge of Sighs one of my all time favorites!!
I've listened to a ton of rock music and this is one of the great ones. Saw RT open for Ten Years After in Dallas, 1974. (King Crimson was middle of the bill.). A glorious sandwich of music that evening.
the first album i ever bought robin trower, first concert robin trower. i remember listening to robin on the king biscuit flower hour in the early 70's
In the mid 70s i was in a band that did covers, i played guitar, we did this song, we had one hell of a singer that could literally sound like anyone, what times they were.
Looking forward to the 50th anniversary box set. Hearing extended versions of the songs on BOS will be worth the wait. Rock on Robin!
Nice . Saw Them in Tucson in 1986
Just Simply Sublime
Never enough Trower!!
The best song to start my day. I’m living in the day of the Eagle not the dove. Best opening riff ever?
Great song. Classic album. The start to the title track is really cool to hear. There's a vid somewhere on the 'Tube with Mr. Dewar singing the original lyrics to this song, when it was still in the formative stages. Very cool if you can find it on YT.
Classic
🙏🙏🙏🙏👍👍👏👏👏🙏🙏👍👍
I got to meet Robin after a show. He was super cool and signed my Bridge of Sighs album. Yeah it is a treasure
So happy to see this! One of my all time favorites. God willin' I will be there in Kansas City Mo. on 09/15/24 to witness greatness once again!
Groovy!
Saw him at least a dozen times, the man was an advert for Fender Stratocaster guitars. One of the best guitar tones ever!
The tempo change always hits me good.
Indeed he's a top guitarist .In top.4 without a doubt. If S.R.V. were still with us he would run him off any stage.
Although I agree he is one of the greatest guitarists to play, no one would run SRV off stage... NO ONE.
@mountainskys if it became a competition who do you feel would win? Neither? Clapton would.
Cuts off the best scene in the whole movie. Mrs Wormer arriving at the party in a state of total debauchery...
TROWER!
🔥🔥🔥
This could / should be the film music score for a feature Hollywood movie . Full orchestra and Robin's guitar .
Bought the new LP from Morris County Records in NJ, 1974...Have been rocking Trower ever since!. An essential part of my life soundtrack. Was at Newton for the 40th tour, excellent!...Such an under-rated musician and band...Long live RT!
Best of the best...Grew up on this.
Thank You RT!!!!
❤❤❤❤❤!
Fantastic
❤❤❤❤❤❤
Imagine Jimi and Robin having fun just riffing each other.
Thank you Robin. You were part of the soundtrack of my youth. Saw you in Dayton, OH and you blew everyone away. Did multiple encores and had to repeat songs. Magical!
Saw him in Dayton also. Wow!
Guitar genius
Damn, this is as hot as anything Hendrix did, and that's quite a standard to meet! This is a song I remember hearing a time or two when I was a kid in the 70's and never knew much about it, but damn is it a hot track!
Great vid and love all your music, keep jamming.👍😎
What an amazing song. Always a go to for many years. Cheers Robin
\m/ Kickass \m/
Great vocalist also..👍
Made my weekend watching this!…great video! 😎👏🏻🎶🎸
just ordered the 4disc cd's & vinyl from Robin's home page amazing & For Earth Below next?
I was listening to this while shopping at the grocery store this morning and didn't realize it right away.
Green peppers, Swiss chard and Robin Trower... Not to bad of a morning 🦅😄
Lovin' Trower! Really cool video, too.
👍
What a great video!
I clicked the thumbs up button , I lost count at over a hundred times……but it still only registered as ONE!! I’m so pissed right now! Anyways. Thank you Robin!
Love it!🔥🎸
Oh yeah....😊🤟🎸🎼🎵🎶
🤘🏼🤘🏼💙💙🎸🎸
Nice!!! 🎸
How did he get that guitar tone? Amazing!!! Guitar, amps, pedals? Is it how it was recorded? Always loved that tone!
Had front row for you but the FAKE FLU turned the world off for too long so of course it didn't happen love ya my man keep 'em coming great music!
And GOD gave the eagle his great sight.
Jimmy Dewar shure had the voice.
Were the drums always that far down in the mix? Not sure what 'newly mixed' means here.
⚡️💥🔥🌌💎🌠😉😎
Anyone finding this sounds very distorted...especially in the vocal's frequency range? Even just pulling up the 2007 remaster on CZcams seems to sound way better... hopefully it's an issue with this video and not how the actual release will sound.
& just in time for the 50th anniversary edition directly from his web page & there are tracks on the album that are also longer on 4 cd vinyl & there is a bluray edition as well?
❤❤❤❤❤
The guitars sound thinner. The drums sound plastic. People don't realize that tape captures more of the,"essence " grit and inconsistencies of a recording. Digital may clean things up. But it also takes away the inconsistencies of the music. The variables, anomalies and inconsistencies is what makes music live
yeah we all just love tape hiss
