    I use my plastic Guitar Pick cause I can get a sharper attack. I use a strap to keep it in playing position and I also use machine head tuners so that it's easier to keep in tune.

    it would be great if you did a video on playing by ear. i'm sure several people from more western countries are struggling with playing by ear and it would be really helpful especially since bağlama is traditionally played by ear

      Yes, that is a good idea. I use vlc player to reduce the tempo and to repeat phrases over and over untill I get the melody. VLC player can also change the pitch.

    Yes. My next planned video will be a tutorial on that song. It is Ederlezi and was made popular by Goran Bregovic. It is quite nice on baglama

    Considered traditional tuning (short neck) cc’-gg-dd’d’ ? Equivalent for long neck? Trying to learn to play amd stay more traditional?

    thanks for your video !
    I have a little question : how do you deal with the noise that the plectrum does when it hit the wood ? I realized i make a lot of those and don´t know how to improve this

    • @KlausM
      @KlausM  Před 3 lety +1

      Yes, a lot of people struggle with this, also experienced players (including myself). I think that the best is to practice with holding the plectrum closer to the tip (see at 4:00 min onwards). That should help and then paying attention to not hitting the wood.

    Hello Amico, what is better short neck saz or long neck?

    • @KlausM
      @KlausM  Před 3 lety

      If you buy your first saz, then I think that long neck is more versatile, because you can always put a capo on, in order to have the equivalent of a short neck. It is very hard the other way around !!!
      A reason why many buy short neck is because they buy a saz with a tuning that fits their voice and singing from A (long neck) can be quite deep, as compared from C or D (short neck).

      @@KlausM Thank you! that is what I want too. A more versatile saz, sounds better to me.
