I live in an apartment complex. I could still hang my trapeze right? The contractor would he just need to find a sturdy beam?
Lucas, I just wanted to follow up and thank you for creating this device. I have used it 3 times. My back pain, neck pain, and hip pain are completely resolved. Those pains are just gone! Nearly every joint in my body was incessantly popping and cracking. That is nearly gone too. I love my trapeze, and I am glad I persisted to hang it into my ceiling. Thank you.
I'm a builder who fits these professionally within a 40 mile radius of Reading UK.
Any sort of swing should comfortably support 4 times a persons body weight. Mine support +750kg.
Have a peace of mind so you don't fall down - or the whole ceiling falls down. This is not a DIY job if fixing in to a ceiling with plasterboard.
I fix a custom steel bar with 1" industrial pipe so you can adjust to your shoulder width or use as a pullup bar, TRX mount etc depending on the day.
Can also mount in to challenging ceiling with thin 1/5 joists - lag bolts definitely not recommended - using M20 machine bolts, 40mm hardwood ply and steel plates above multiple joists so they don't bow.
Contact to discuss
Hi Ray, would you come to North London to fit one of these swings? What's the best way to contact you?
Hey ray do you have an email?
6mm drill bit = 15/64 drill bit. In case anyone needs this
Nic Narc Thank You!
Not all heros wear capes thx a bunch
Got it installed, and it is stable. I don’t understand why the measurements are in metric. I know the metric system is superior, but even my tape measure is in Imperial.
Question: A professional has told me that @t or this type is not appropriate for the ceiling, but instead a thick screw with plastic mat. Do you agree?
Omg thank you for this very direct and informative video. Perfection 👌🏾
Glad you like the video!

How deep should the pilot hole be in the wood?
How do you keep the swing from squeaking. We have it properly installed and it holds well, but it squeaks like it's gonna knock the beam down. Suggestions?
Can be the ropes rubbing... try wrapping the mount with something (like a piece of a mat?).
My joist are strong enough to hold someone’s body weight, my question is whether all you need is 2 lag screed on each of the X mounts. Thanks!
What size wrench do I need??
As always, safety glasses and gloves would be a good idea.
Will this mount work for a aerial hoop?
I’ve been wondering this, did you find out? X
There's not enough aerial hoop videos in the world 😭😭
For wood, it's mentioned to use a 6mm drill bit, but no mention of the size of the bolt. Any suggestions?
The bolts come with the ceiling hooks
Hello, I live in an old 4 condo and have neighbors above me, my ceilings are drywall and then concrete, I want to hang silks, would it be possible?
Better to check with someone that does construction every house is so unique.
Hi, would these be appropriate to hang on the wall above a doorway (into wood studs), instead of a ceiling? Thank you.
Possible.... just make sure the mounting boards (that you're drilled into) are strong and stable.
@@YOGABODY.Official Thanks!
Can I use this in my apartment ceiling ?
Cinni Shah This is the same dam thing i wanna know!!
Well did you? I want to add something similar to this in my room too. Something that goes over the sheetrock through to the wood
Yes you should be able to. Just gotta find the ceiling studs
It doesn't matter if it's a house or apartment. What matters is if your landlord will allow it. You will have to be absolutely certain you are going into the underside of the stud, and if it is a steel stud, you are going to be out of luck.
Ok i see u should hang from door way not ceiling i live in studio apt . so i need to make sure. I have two door ways bathroom front door all in one room how should i do it
So I need two of these or just one ? Mine came with one ????
Rigging this up seems to be the scariest part of yoga trapeze.
Not scary, but it's helpful if you have someone with experiencing drilling / mounting (handy person / builder).
@@YOGABODY.Official Thanks for replying. I have fifteen years forensic construction experience, including framing. I had to go into the attic and dig through blown-in insulation. That was frightening.
The 600 pound weight threshold, do you know whether that is static or dynamic?
I was going to use eye hooks into a stud in my ceiling. Would this be ok?
Hello Apryl - I would not recommend them no.
@@YOGABODY.Official Is there a reason why if it’s weight rated to hold me and then some?
Cause you need to pay the $25 for the “special” ones
@@koryvanduinen6645 Lol well, I’ve been using turn on special ones and doing just fine.
What size did you use and is it still working ? I’m looking to hang mine up with eye hooks also.
Does anyone know how long the concrete fasteners are?
Approx 4 inches.
@@YOGABODY.Official thanks!
how far away from the wall should it be
27 “ is standard but further away is better; it depends on the body(s) in the room
I am looking to make this fit more than one person of different sizes. My husband is 6'4" and 350lbs and I am 5'4" and 250lbs. He is much taller and heavier than I am, any suggestions? Im not concerned with it being too high for me, only the shoulder width and hip width of the sling hammock part.
did you end up figuring out what a good width would be? i'm trying to mount mine to the ceiling today but really not sure how wide to make it. People were saying about 3ft but that seems kind of wide!
Daisy chains will allow you to adjust the height very easily
@@jackiesmith6051, the video said 70 cm which is about 27"
Will I need one or two of these brackets? I purchased one but not appears there are two? Thanks
Where are your safety glasses dude?
What is the min ceiling height ?
did you get an answer yet?
I have the same question
7 ft 10 inches
How much distance need between installing two hammocks side by side
70 cm
@@YOGABODY.Official thank you so much for your reply
How wide apart?
60cm!
If I wanted to hang and extension from the hook to the trapeze, what would you suggest?
Personally think you should wear a mask when drilling concrete so you don't inhale the dust.
Good point!
I tightened my bolts as hard as I could and they stripped out.
Now I know how to escape the cruel world
I think it's funny. Wanna shoot me too?
please were safety goggles people
