- As Muslims our faith teaches us to respect all individuals no matter what their faith and beliefs be. We are commanded to treat every individual with kindness and compassion, and never to belittle the beliefs of another nor the deities that they worship.
At the same time, as Muslims we are dedicated and sincere towards our theology & creed and we do not associate or mix our beliefs & celebrations with that of other religions. Hence, as Muslims we do not celebrate the Christian celebration of Christmas.
What if our children or non-Muslim neighbours ask us why we don't celebrate Christmas? Or what our beliefs are about Jesus Christ?
In this talk, delivered as the second half of a khutbah during the school holidays of the Christmas season, Shaykh Dr. Yasir Qadhi explains the Islamic beliefs regarding Isa b. Maryam (Jesus Christ), and why Muslims should not celebrate the holy days of other faiths.

Also, teach the hadeeth that Prophet Muhammad said we celebrate but 2 holidays, one after Ramadan عيد الفطر
and 2 months after that عيد الأضحي and every Friday.
Friday is the congregational prayer day. That's why he calls it an eid. That's not a contradiction but an exhortation to not miss Friday prayer in the mosque (for adult males and teens)

I was raised up to Believe in Jesus; but not celebrate Christmas. My family was shown "the Truth that He was not born on Dec. 25th but Sept during the Feast of Tabernacles. Pope Constantine changed the date of His birth to align with the winter solstice." We were also raised to not celebrate Easter and other Pagan days as well. I am now Hebrew Messianic because of the Pagan holidays. When I see a Muslim I say, "Salum Elechem" "Peace Be Unto You" same as Shalom Elechem in Hebrew. I have a cousin whom is Muslim in Oklahoma. I was taught to Love everybody. So having said that, "Salum Elechem" to you all. And I love you all!

Unlike you, most of my neighbors are christians who time and again wishes me Eid Mubarak and Eid Adha. I proudly wishes them Merry Christmas to show them that Islam is considerate and to be good neighbors are important. Wouldn't want them to think Muslims are rude. On top of that, I visit them as they visit me during Eid. And yes, they ordered halal food for us. That is how nice they are.

But the true and well-depth love with Jesus(pbuh) must be developed automatically by those Muslims who have gone through a proper and thorough understanding of Holy Quran by means of Translation and Tafseer(details or summary)...
As in the Holy Quran, both Jesus (Isa pbuh) and Respected Mary ( Marium AS) are mentioned as highly honoured and Respected. ❤️❤️
Even the Jesus pbuh is mentioned more times than prophet Muhammad pbuh is...
Unfortunately....in this day and age, you may find some Muslims are lacking of knowledge of the Holy Book, Quran..
You may find some are practicing but not having enough knowledge sadly , just like people of any other religion, as Mijority of the ppl spend their day and night in finding the bread and butter(or are busy in earnings for this life) and sadly they put all of their efforts/energies in it,.....

A/allaikum, wanted to also say that you did the right thing, as for your family, try to talk to them with kind words to help them to understand without getting angry or frustrated because the mind or shaitan deceives people to think that it's ok to come together as a family during that day and imitating what christians do by having christmas dinner, we know there's nothing wrong with eating as a family everyday but the prophet (saw) said: “Whoever imitates a certain people becomes one of them", this means slowly as time passes, they will slowly add one thing after another and the mind will deceive them to later become something which they didn't want. Every Muslim knows to not imitate such events is not what we do and its worse for children too. Our creator gave us Eid so thank you for posting on here and keep us in your duas, your an amazing person to have kept away from the imitation, may allah (swt) guide us all and keep us on the straight path, AMEEN

His unique in many ways ex. Prophet Adam was created without a mother or father, Jesus too was created without a father but Mary gave birth to him through the breath of angel Gabriel. May peace be upon all of the prophets. Please get this right , Prophets did all these with the power granted to them by Allah or God. The Quran is 100 percent scientifically proven to be accurate. Not one mistake . But not the other scriptures because they were changed (some parts) . This proves that Quran is All Allahs words. Listen to dr. Zakir Naik or read the Quran yourself and you will find the truth

Actually the date has its basis in the Pagan Solstice celebration. This is an established facts agreed upon by secular, Christian, and Islamic Scholars
They are celebrating the birth of the pagan Aryan/ Indo European deity Mitra. Mitra was worshipped by the Vedic Aryan, and the Persian. After Alexander conquered Persia, the cult of Mitra was adopted by the Greeks and later by the Roman. Mitra was the sun god worshipped by the Romans. His birth was 25th of December. No one was made to look like Isa..
Beautiful Khutba. But has nothing to do with those who want to honour him without worshipping him. Or celebrate the togetherness and charity and love in this period. Doesn’t mean you have to pray to Jesus or go to church etc. Only Allah will be the judge at the end of the day.
Many Christians believe Allah does not have a son either. people forget that Christianity is very wide in it's beliefs. as far as I understand there are christiands who don't believe that allah had a son.
