32. Sterling Furniture

34. Juicy Fruit (I never knew they updated their jingle in the 90's. Even though this version is way blander...they did get rid of the weird sexual innuendo of "Take a sniff...pull it out...the taste is gonna move you when you pop it in your mouth"...I'm not sure if that's a good or a bad thing)
35. Reach Glow In The Dark Toothbrush
36. Extra Strength Tylenol

38. "Sega Star Kids Challenge" Promotional Considerations/End Credits (Brought to you by B.U.M. Equipment, US Air and Sheraton Universal Hotel) - Zábava
Damn I miss these days... I was born in 86 so the 90s was my whole childhood. Nothing will ever beat it.....
Hopefully we'll go to 90's heaven when we die.
I wish we lived in a time loop, I wish and hope to relive all of this again
That's why I collect retro games and vhs tapes my room is the 90s
me too.
Damn I miss the 90's!
I was born in the wrong time
I could easily sit and watch these all day. I would have never imagined I would enjoy watching commercials. Lol.
I feel warm and innocent when I watch these old commercials 💕
I love that 90's house decor and youth bedrooms with all the shit everywhere, the wall paper, the bunk beds, the posters, the Tv and genesis, so nostalgic, reminds me of the days sharing a room with my bro and sis, playing mortal kombat on the Sega on the old wooden manual tune in tv, VHS, early foxtel, nickelodeon, cartoon network, the comedy channel man id love a time machine or a simulated 80s 90s world like black mirror or even just a youtube channel that plays recordings of old tv channels its to much im getting emotional it was gone so quick but it lives in our hearts forever.
Those were the times... Damn 90s you always got a soft spot in my heart.
That Sega Genesis thumbnail is all I needed.
Now THIS era is the absolute best for tv commercial compilations, and just in general!
Romans One16 I actually prefer the 90's. Probably cause I was born in 92 lol
Hell yeah
These were the good old days!!!! 😭😭😭😭
Joyce J / ASouthernWriter I miss old cable
I was born in the wrong time
Remember my teacher back then saying, "If the 80s were the Pepsi Generation, then the 90s are the Snapple Generation." He couldn't be more correct.
They were so creative with their commercials back then. I don't know why, but now it's like they don't even try😩
Yeah, they feel too.. minimalistic?
I was thinking the same thing. I think the nowadays they try to avoid being "cheesy", which sucks creativity dry.
Lookits BTStrash The cut-off point for good commercials seems to be 1997, when it became legal to advertise prescription medications on TV. The quality of commercials seemed to decline pretty quickly after that.
Lookits BTStrash even if they tried they would still suck at it. 80s and 90s were the best eras for commercials
Thank you for posting these commercials I'm an 80s baby and get so nostalgic sometimes...why can't I be a kid again😣
I miss my childhood
Sega Forever!
I am from Indonesia, but these commercials still bring back memories, because seems no matter where u live if u have access to electronics or medias, you still get the same "vibe" of how each decade feels.
Am I the only 28yr old that now feels old
DrillMD no man, I feel you :(
Same. Sometimes I legit feel down because I feel like I didn't enjoy myself as much as I should have back then. X_X
28 LoL!
I'm 22 and I feel old
You not alone. 89
I remember that Kid Chameleon commercial vividly, I'm just now noticing there was no cartridge in the console he was playing at the end of it, lol
I would turn 4 yrs old the day following this original broadcast, and again, 15 years after celebrate my 19th birthday attending my freshman year at the art college there across Wayne and off Kirby. Great times living in the city 🌆
I was born 85 so i remember these commercials
same here bro the golden days
Jaem Maddog me too, Sept 28th
Me too May 1985
You guys are lucky.
1982. Owned all kinds of crazy stuff...working on a Flux Capacitor....busy
As a Detroit kid this brings back such nostalgia
I get it!
Play Sega Genesis & go to Boblo Island. Fantastic conditioning here.
Dude on that long johns commercial made that cup seem like it was from the future gd make me want one 😂😂😂
I had Joe Montana football for Genesis.
He could go all the way!
I loved streets of rage!
jacob henderson omg that was my favorite!
Commercials were much more geared towards children back then. I dont see cereal or fruit juice or video game and toy commercials today. Just commercials for pharmaceuticals and lawyers suing those companies.
2000s kids don't watch TV. Hardly anyone watches TV anymore.
Joshua Neal I can say I don’t lol, there’s nothing at all that comes close to just these commercials nvm the shows, movies etc
Who else besides me calls the 1 800 numbers from these 90s commercials to see if they are still active?🤔
BIZARRO WXRLD.... LMAO
I love it until I hear "I'm sorry the number you dialed has been disconnected"
Love these videos
Wish I can time travel
I was born in the wrong time
the Golden Era
I had both the Sega Genesis and Super Nintendo back in the day, but the Genesis was my first 16-bit system. Both systems had their advantages. I loved the SNES for Nintendo's games and RPGs like the Final Fantasies, Secret of Mana and Chrono Trigger. I loved Sega for Sonic, Streets of Rage (incredible soundtrack!) and Phantasy Star. The main thing I remember about the 16-bit days is reading about Japanese imports in magazines, and hoping they would be brought over. Most often, they did not, and I did not have the money or knowledge of Japanese to import them. Still, it was a great time for gaming. I do own a Nintendo Switch, but a lot of time is spent with my retro consoles.
yusakug funny thing. With emulation the thing now, I play the japanese games just to see how they are in gameplay and sound. Advantage for me, is that I can’t see anyway, so I have to go by control physics and sound to know what I’m doing. 95 percent of the time, I always wonder, why they couldn’t partner with one of our guys to bring a franchise to the states! Like, a lot of the Japanese games were amazing as heck!
I still have both consoles
leading the _16-bit_ revolution
Crazy to think that 16 bit was a huge deal with the Sega. When I was a kid I thought that was the most bad ass thing on the planet. Now it makes me laugh looking at those graphics lol
4:55 Reno 911 tried to mock these types of commercials but even they couldn't get it that perfect.
I miss these days :(
I'm was born in the wrong time😓😓😓😓😔😔😔😞😞
Yeah the hype was so live. Things were still magical
As a native metro-Detroiter, I have to point out that these commercials are as old as the last (and only) Lions playoff win in the Super Bowl era. Insane.
😅 damn!
With Special Guest
MICHAEL WINSLOW
Now THAT is one hell of a live act.
I liked Toe jam and Earl from Sega.
$1.99 for a meal omg
a whopper back in the day used to be $.99 with just $.20 extra for cheese. Hell Little Caesars had it where whatever pizza you got you could get unlimited toppings just for $1....man the 90s had some true value.
Now its nearly $10 for a fast food meal 😲
@Bren Williams not really.. 1.99 plus tax, adjusted for inflation still comes up to at least $4.50-$5 for that small meal in today's money .. you can still get one of their smaller combos for a little over 6 bucks plus tax.. the average price of a combo has really only gone up a couple bucks in roughly 30 years
Plus, that shit was one piece of chicken, a few shrimp, and fries, no drink, it wasnt a full ass combo, probably some promotional shit.. it's really about the same still
@@kcguy8864 After 10 years of running this channel...people generally don't understand inflation or account for it when making these type of comments.
This is such a weird feeling: 1992 doesn't "feel" like it was so long ago, but that was also the year I graduated from the 8th grade which _does_ feel like a long time ago.
6:19 so freakin 90s that kids room. Reminds me of all my friends
Those Honey Comb commercials are still so fucking good. They make me feel so high. Love those sick beats unironically.
And the Kid Chameleon one is so absurdly "90's" it has physically harmed me. The game in general, really.
I give the 90s credit......
very creative
Streets of friggin rage! Yes! One of thee best beat em ups of all time! Played 1 and 2! Just watch it if you get the metal pipes though! Skulls will be cracked!
“Open wide come inside” honeycomb
Fox was a savage back in the early 90s
I was born in 1979. I remember most of these.
Love the local Detroit commercials
the dude from lost munching on a 3 musketeers LOL
Streets Of Rage was the shit
I just remember that flip over slam move.
Memories are all we got
Someone actually uploaded the Sega Star Kids Challenge. Just looked it up. Wow.
Blue koolaid! We drank it🤣
I graduated high school in '92
Those Honey Comb commercials used to jam out!
LMAO I'm guessing Fretter went out of business? Because Sears is still around..
Chris Guzman aint that some shit!
i had a genesis back in the day it was the second gen i played the hell out that machine and i still cant get the combos for the fatalities on mortal kombat punched in quick enough lol
More 90's ads I love! Especially with the Sega Star Kids Challenge! Thank you.
I miss those jolly ranchers
LEMON!!! Where'd they gooo!
Back then, Kenneth Copeland was just a little insane.
Yeah but he was probably always evil and greedy
i didn't get a Genesis until 3 years after. but i was able to enjoy majority of those games since they were my first games as a kid. and i do know at one point that some of these commercials ran on Laserdiscs. and i used to live there.
Laserdiscs were not used to store things like commercials/TV shows at TV stations/networks. It was always a tape format of some kind.
80sCommercialVault my bad. I'm thinking of Sneak Prevue/Prevue guide. i know its Type-c.
Is that Susan Sullivan in the Tylenol Commercial? Hey 80's Commercial Vault it must be a lot of hard work listing all the commercials that aired in the video and writing witty comments about the commercial that gets me to laughing everytime.
Yesss, a 90s commercial compilation from my area. RIP Boblo island :(
Laurpec I literally lost it once I saw that! Good memories!
This brought me back
I was 3 years old at the time back in 1992 ahh yes the Good old days
coming from Windsor right across from Detroit I thank you so much for these boblo island was amazing
I had one of those Glow In The Dark Reach toothbrushes. It was the pink one. I didn't know how helpful being a glow in the dark product like this was since I didn't - and I still don't - brush my teeth in the dark. But it was a cool gimmick and cool to own one.
Shit I wish I could go back and buy one of those long John silvers cups.
Cozy I don’t know why a lot of these companies aren’t revisiting old marketing campaigns. People LOVE 90s stuff, so why not bring back stuff like this?
I miss Boblo Island.
OMG I REMEMBER THAT COMMERCIAL FROM EXTRA BUBBLE GUM. IM SO OLD.37Y/O
Fake field goal pass worked everytime in Joe Montana.
4:32 isn't she adorable?
I remember that commercial. I remember about 75% of all these commercials. It makes my heart ache with nostalgia hearing some of these songs again after all these years. Btw, I'll take the girl @13:00 over the Extra bubblegum girl.
Sega Star Kids Challenge-back before "eSports" was a thing
Streets Of Rage-should be a Kickstarter to revive that franchise..
Footloose-Lithgow kept his pimp hand strong lol
Reach Glow In The Dark tbrush-good for when you have to brush your teeth during a power failure
Tylenol-Does Susan Sullivan ever age..?
I use to love the Beetlejuice cartoon lol
Joe montana sports talk football was the shiiiiet back then.
I used to see a few bands at Pine Knob: The Moody Blues a few times, Beach Boys, STYX and Def Leppard.
wish i was a 90s kid to be honest, it looked real fun
It really was I miss those days it was so much fun seemed like every day was a fun day I was 7 years old in 1990
@@ricolove9273 tell me about it. It seemed like life was so much easier when we were kids in the 90s. We didn't have smart phones we'd spend the day riding bike or playing basketball. I'd go back in a heartbeat
It was so much simpler. I miss it so much. We had the best everything by far.
I was born in 1991. I miss that decade so much
Yea, these kids today will never know how simple and awesome those days was. Cartoons all Saturday morning. No internet ..yet. actually going to library to do work. Good times
That sports talk football revolutionized sports games. I remember I had that and all my friends wanted to borrow it.
The convenience store on Gratiot hit wayyyy too close to home for me
@19:06 Brad from home improvement.
Hahaha Double double yal. ..doublemint wWow and juicy fruit is gonna move you. Wow lol
Oh maannn... these take me back.😌
There is a mickey mouse voice in the Hi-C commercial
I grew up in Mason, MI. I remember all of these! LOL!
I love it when they insert completely unnecessary sexual innuendos in commercials like the old Juicy Fruit 80s jingle. They shouldn’t have changed it, in my opinion. Sexy subtext has been pretty much rampant in that era anyway. ...Now, adverts are filled with just sexy _text._ lol
Either that or we’re just so perverted nowadays that we just read _way_ too deep into the most innocent and superficial things.
No. Just look at the lyrics to the jingle...it is what it is lol
I liked the ICS Commercials!
I love Saved By The Bell good times
I love the divine golden smell of honeycomb
You were going out of business but you still had enough money to make a claymation commercial?
mvangord1 lol
3 Musketeers in a white label......god I haven't seen that in decades........
At 17:33 reminds me Dave Mustaine skydiving on MTV Headbangers Ball with "Megadeth - Peace Sells" for the backsound
On tour with Metallica the dude turned that down?
No Bull!
I was born in that year!
the 90's had 9 years to be born in, but apparently you were born in that year huh
Same here man, born in 1992, wish i was born in the 80s to experience these years better
7:27 Lol
Graduated this year!
@18:52 the historic precursor of the dab.. no one back then knew how close that girl came to almost accidentally stumbling upon it
6:20 NEW FOR SEGA. KID CHAMELEON! THE SCHIZOPHRENIA GAME
1:49 All just for a Stupid sticker
The password was probably "OH YEAH!"
They call that realistic?? Thise guys need to see some cod graphics
Even you are right the difference today and then is amazing but then it was absolutely amazing remember my first saga just pure goosebumps
