I miss this time so much
Me too
I remember the Talking Urkel doll. I never had him but I still thought he was neat!
I had the talking Urkel as a child.
I wanted the Freddy Kruger doll tbh.
This brings back some memories, im a 90's kid. Such a good decade and had so much fun outside before sitting infront of a computer all day or looking at your phone every second took over peoples lives.
The Nickelodeon Time Capsule...ironic af
I was seven in '92 and I collected Star Trek cards.
I REMEMBER ALL OF THESE. Especially that Sally Struthers one lmao.
Seriously thank you for these. Time travel maybe not be invented yet, but this is honestly the closest thing we’ve got.
Flirt Squirt?! Seriously?!
5:57 man I feel bad for anyone that majored in TV/VCR Repair...
This was 10 months before Cartoon Network existed. And by that time, Yogi's reruns were moved to the channel.
I’m 100% positive I saw these commercial breaks when they originally aired. If Gadget and Danger Mouse were on, I was watching.
It's not the Star Trek cards or the Talking Urkel that's the star of the video, it's a freakin CALCULATOR THAT SQUIRTS WATER!!!!!!!!!!
I remember the sally struthers ad. Back then online schooling seemed like a scam. Now it is EVERYWHERE lol.
I don't think VCR Repair will get you very far these days lol
Take me back to the 90s! When I was young and innocent. Didn't have a care in the world.
Why was it better to grow up back then? Better cartoons, fewer trends, better variety of popular music, smarter kids, less arguing, less entitlement.
10:24 - "Centerpieces" was always my favorite part of that commercial for some unknown reason.
The good days of Nickelodeon.
Right.
For some reason, I’ve got a craving for Hershey’s chocolate milk!
Those Flirt Squirts are just bizarre. Was there actually a market for practical joke products aimed at preteen girls?
Surprisingly, yes. Born in 1985, and remember a lot of my toys squirting water as a draw? Seeing that weird hand pump sprayer attached to sunglasses brought back memories. Simpler times :P
They sure loved their fish eye
lens in the 90's ...
The Urkel doll!! Wonder how much those went for back then.
Stray observations: The Nickelodeon boxing glove waiting in the dark for its' next victim. Doug's just trying survive till junior high and Nick's ready to give him a sucker punch. Good thing he turned on the light.
I bet that Flirt Squirt was the starter of many of fights.
Flirt Squirt is how I met my wife
@@ebradshaw8921 for real?
I thought the same thing.
I saw alot of Star Trek trading cards in antique stores in a small town near Houston. More than any other area I've been in.
1:08 WTF IS THIS COMMERCIAL XD
2:45 The 1991_1992 Danger Mouse up next Nickelodeon bumper has been found at last!
This makes me want to watch Danger Mouse
Wasn't they supposed to open that time capsule?!!
It was meant to be opened 50 years after it was buried, so not until 2042.
I had the maddest crush on Ashley from Fifteen hahaha.
I wish I had that urkel doll
I had one I do not know were it went its a long time ago.
I wish I had a pyramid of Star Trek cards that fell from the sky.
I didn't have the talking Urkel doll but I once had a talking Michelle doll from Full House. She would never hold up to the Urkel doll though.
5:35 some things never change....
My gf has a talking urkel
Nickelodeon covered Hook? Interesting.
@1:08 A very Roger Rabbit Kool Aid commercial. Or should I say Tex Avery?
@1:45 Oh my lord. A talking Urkel
@3:01 Dustin Hoffman's portrayal of Hook is infinitely more interesting than Mr. Williams. I love both but I wanted more Hook!
@5:50 I am going to guess that Sally Struthers is in Branson.
@8:44 The 80's & 90's saw a huge push for literacy. Seemed to not be as prevalent in the 00's.
@10:08 I would swear the guy in this commercial is Jerry Steiner from Parker Lewis Can't Lose.
okay first of all I had the same reaction to the reese's pieces ad! and man club med was sure in a hurry to throw videogames under the bus. (I mean I get what they were going for but that seemed to be the theme going into the 90s)
@5:35 I did the ICS Education certification in computer something in 1993 or '94. It was kind of a bust because it didn't teach in depth about software or hardware. Reeally lame. Sally Struthers hair looks amazing in this ad though. Her ICS ad aired for years, I recall.
Nick Doug was great. Disney Doug was garbage.
Nick Time Capsule
, anyone know where this went after they removed it from Universal in Florida?
It was moved to the new Nick Studios in California in 2016.
Quailman...
Star Trek trading cards-those would probably be a big seller if it were either Discovery or the Kelvinverse(speaking of which the 4th movie has been indefinitely shelved by Paramount)
Talking Urkel-shouldve made a Talking Waldo doll too
Fifteen-Nick's answer to Degrassi Jr High..featuring a young Ryan Reynolds
