  • Since 1965, the Alpina company has made it its business to make selected BMW models more unique. New components are sometimes developed for the conversions, some of which are manufactured in-house at the main plant in Buchloe, not far from Munich. Each Alpina vehicle must pass numerous quality and performance tests before it is released for series production. The report accompanies the production of a BMW Alpina B7 and a BMW SUV Alpina XB7.

Too bad the engine design is junk. BMW hasn't figured out how to fix a simple oiling issue inside the engine. Seriously would you want to spend $ 160,000 for a vehicle that starts developing engine issues around 30,000 miles?
Buy a Japanese luxury vehicle and get your money's worth. Anything German built is a disaster.

    • @rudymeow
      @rudymeow Před rokem +4

When people eyeing for a BMW they aren't as concerned about the maintenance cost as most, they usually aware eventually they would spend another $60,000 for the $160,000 car.
It is truth that Japanese vehicle are way more economical, but they are never as fun to drive tho.

Automakers should make a program that can be used during the Real Driving Emissions and other tests that allows engineers to drive around on a game like Forza, Gran Turismo or any driving game for consoles or PC and transfers that driving data to the vehicle being tested where it replicates those commands in real time. If they just had an open world game design with random traffic patterns and they could just drive around, even Grand Theft Auto would work, it would probably give them the most reliable testing and data they could hope for. Plus it would make these guy’s jobs a lot more fun.

That's no normal BMW. This 7-Series
    model flies the Alpina flag.
    This vehicle manufacturer from southern
Germany is one of the most exclusive
automotive brands in the world, much of
the tremendous power boost is already
achieved at the BMW plants and the final
assembly ultimately occurs at the factory
    in the Allgäu.
A power symbiosis where the two horsepower
    blacksmiths both benefit.
BMW and Alpina, it's a relationship that's already
    55 years old.
Established in the 1960s, the family business still
builds luxury cars in small series to this day.
Bavarian luxury cars with the driving dynamics of
super sports cars, distinctive aerodynamics packages,
high performance engines, powerful brake systems,
100 modified parts make series production models
into exclusive racing machines. Many of Alpina's
innovative developments were born on the racetrack
and first road tested by motorsport legends.
