0:05 The manufacturer asks if there are any aftermarket accessories/parts installed when doing a warranty claim, so once the technician notified them what was done to the car, and the manufacturer declined the warranty on the transmission as they believe the customer abused the car. The technician said it had drag radials on it as well and they most likely damaged the transmission on the drag strip.
0:19 The charcoal canister is for the EVAP system. The charcoal canister/evap canister absorb fuel vapors that would otherwise vent out to the atmosphere, causing pollution.
0:29 The customer did not get the engine repaired.
0:48 An important reminder to take photos or install parts on one side at a time, so you don't do what this customer did.
0:59 The Vehicle was a Chrysler (they didn't mention the model).
1:11 Hyundai. The customer thought his insurance company might write off his car, but it was all caught on camera.
1:22 Chain and two padlocks around brake pedal and very loose steering wheel. Looks pretty unsafe to drive but as mentioned it only came in for 4 new tires (the technician showed me the work order). He was surprised they didn't mention anything else.
1:36 Cockroaches inside of customer's car. The technician didn't mention if anybody actually ended up fixing this car.
1:43 Ford F-350 6.7L powerstroke. Watch how much starter fluid you use when trying to start a vehicle. Also on these Ford powerstroke engines, always change the bottom fuel filter first, then the top. Then cycle the key a bunch of times (prime the lines with fuel) and you should not have any issues.
1:55 No extra info.
2:05 Easy find!
2:13 Somebody mentioned in the comments that the metal object in the oil pan on this Mercedes-Benz could be a probe rod to find buried utilities.
2:27 The Back side of the wheel does not sit flush with the wheel spacer which caused the bad vibration the customer felt. The customer was not paying attention when he installed those wheel spacers.
2:35 Maybe somebody did this on purpose? But the technician was surprised to see this random clamp on a fuel line.
2:45 No info on this one, so if you know the year of the truck, please let us know!

I'd move that cockroach motel on wheels as far away from the shop as possible and lite a match😂

Aren't dealers trying to push 10k Mike oil changes now a days? So they were only 2k miles over due LUL. Personally i would have changed the oil myself at least twice by then. It might be excessive and i might be spending too much, i won't go over 5k miles on oil unless i have consistent oil samples to show that i can actually go longer

I'm thinking stick a chameleon in there.
I’m curious what happened to the person who beat their own car with a padlock and chain. Imagine being so angry that you somehow think you’re teaching the dealer a lesson by trashing YOUR OWN CAR. Play silly games, win silly prizes.
Another candidate for the special restraint jacket and the white padded room.
Common in a lot of repos. They think they're getting back at the bank for repossessing their car by ruining it's resale value. Failing to understand that they owe the difference.
Crank it up a step and you get the "If I can't have you, no one will" psycho ex mentality.
The kind of guy you don’t want getting a gun permit 😂
When the consequences of his actions weren't paid for by someone else, the car was no longer his in his mind (he would just not pay for it anymore) and thus, like the mental 3 year old he is, he destroyed it because "if I can't have it nobody else can." Fairly easy logic to figure out. He'll go get a Nissan. The refuge of credit bandits.
@@christopherconard2831exactly, it was going to get repo'd but they didn't know that they owe the difference of the auction sale.
They will probably never pay it, but it goes on your credit and any bank giving that person a loan after that is insane.

😢 how can someone be able to afford a Ford Mustang GT500, and be too cheap to change the oil?
i think they thought they didn’t need oil changes since they didn’t drive the car often. unfortunately for them, letting oil sit in a rarely operated car is worse than never changing the oil on a daily driver.
Everybody has a limit. This scenario is seen fairly frequently with sportbikes. Someone blows their wad on a dream machine and has nothing left over. Of course when the machine predictably blows up, the vehicle, the manufacturer, the dealer, and anyone else unfortunate to have touched it gets called a POS. It could NEVER be the owners fault.
It's super common to be able to afford the car but nothing else, particularly with second and third-owner luxury cars.
It's not the lack of money, it's the lack of brain, and you might wonder how someone so stupid can have so much money, well that's simple, the two are not related, everything in life comes down to chance, wealth most of all.
More money than brains. Being able to buy something doesn't equate in knowing how to maintain it.
Here endeth the lesson.

Wow. The guy who beat up his car will soon realize he totalled it. Now he could be liable for any unpaid balance plus costs. It's amazing how many people think dropping off a car settles a loan or lease, but I'd guess that same person is one who doesn't know cars need oil changes.
Yep, he will end up paying for it one way or another. It will also destroy his credit, so good luck to him getting a new car now!

Chain around the brake pedal and padlocked through the steering wheel is a pretty common theft deterrent on commercial and military vehicles.
The Chevy truck at the end is a 1971 model, based on the grill. Same body style 1969-1972, the grill is what sets it apart. Which is why I had one of them years ago.

I am not ashamed to say i might be a grown 63 year old man but i become a 6 year old girl when i see bugs , especially ear wigs but this looks like a cockroach infestation , still sends shivers . Plus the dealership was wise to fit the bill for that control arm , yes it was welded but with the recall in play and liability issues that could arise in a court of law they did the CYA ..
The dealership is screwed either way. They have to do the recall work, but if they send it out with an obvious safety issue they become liable.
If it were in for a regular repair or maintenance they could just refuse service altogether.
I quit a job once on the second day because they didn't tell me there were roaches involved and I don't regret a thing.

This content is fire..💯💯 I love people's excuses 😂
0:29 this is a good time to remind everyone that you should get an oil change either every six months OR every few thousand miles (whichever comes first). the manual for your vehicle will specify how many miles you can go before needing an oil change
3k miles unless u use synthetic, thats just me, its cheap,, i drive a semi for work, u can go alot longer with em,, my truck holds 40q luls
Synthetic says a year between changes and since i only do like 2000 miles a year the once a year oil change is worth it to me. It sucks to do and im sometimes late by 50-100 miles due to rain or heatwaves. cant understand why people make such a big deal over it and refuse to ever do it.
You assume that all owners read the manual, if they even know they have one, much less its location.
For a 6.7 cummins it says 12k or 1 year which ever is first. I just change it once a year. Granted I only have done one oil change as ive only had it a year and a half and havent broke 12k miles yet.
My manuals all say 10K miles/12 months.

Well, at least those blue brake rotors weren't being used as brake rotors! :P

I like how at the end of your videos showing cars that should be scrapped, you then show some beautiful classics in fantastic condition.
Cleanliness really doesn't have the highest priority in my life, but even I cannot process, how somebody would be fine with having such a disgusting car, that loads of creatures are literally everywhere.
That clamped fuel line is funny. Some mechanic at some point forgot to remove the clamp after replacing (fuel filter maybe?) and the owner drove around like that for HOW LONG before it was discovered? That stuff happens with forgetting tools. Usually the original mechanic removes the clamp, apologizes to the customer, and all is well with the world.
That clamp on the fuel line brings back so many memories. When I was younger my second car was an 1994 Opel Astra F 1.4i which was a little too thirsty for my wallet, so I tried to clamp the fuel line to reduce fuel consumption. It didn’t work but dang was it a reliable and well built car
Thank you for the feature sir!
Still to this day I still don’t know how you get roaches in your car 😂
When I was young, my cars had roaches, but they were a different kind, hiding in the ashtrays.
Have you tried being a nasty fucking pig of a person? I'm more surprised it's not more common.
Take Snoop on a road trip🤔
Americans have become childish slobs, they can't go 10 minutes without stuffing some greasy crap into their festering gobs. Cars end up full of food waste and that's how you get roaches.
Usually, they fall off your body.
Dont ever change the way you format your videos please...
2:34 ah yes that red arrows perfectly explains what I’m looking at .thanks for including that much information
I think what's sad about all of these vids are that once you spend enough time in the automotive repair industry, you're not surprised at ANY of this. In my 30+ years as a professional mechanic. I've seen or been directly involved with service orders like these. If not just like them, closely related. Even worse are the customers that say "I just picked it up from the shop" or "I just bought it at a used dealer".
I've done at least two, maybe three, post purchase inspections were I told them to take the vehicle back IMMEDIATELY. Only to find out that several hours later the vehicles burned to the ground. I do find it somewhat amazing what some "mechanic's" ideas of "properly repaired" are. 🤯🤦♂
00:45 kills me inside when people that have more dollars than sense destroy things I can only wish for.
Norman Glazier! 0:32 You tricky boy! I see what you did there! I am surprised none else has though?
1:44 And that's why most modern diesels have a warning under the hood saying to NEVER use Starting Fluid. That stuff hits the intake heater or glow plugs and BOOM!
What's the problem with the wheel spacers? There is definitely a space!!! (Aussie sarcasm!)
You know, my car has a weird clunk in the rear when I go over bumps too. It only happens when I have my trailer attached so I don't know what's up with that. 🤔
Mine does for one or two days every October. Think it might be something to do with pumpkins in the trunk, but I’m not a mechanic 😂
Had a Hennessy-tuned and supercharged Mustang come in a few weeks ago with no 3rd gear (manual) and a really bad misfire in cylinders 4 and 6. His aftermarket warranty covered it all and he got a brand new engine and transmission
thanks' for ending your fun videos with a good looking flashback , you all have a good day
My car has almost 40K miles on it, and I've never changed the oil. Runs perfectly fine.
Of course, it's a Tesla, but still.... :D
Even the EVs have fluids that will need to be flushed /changed at some point. Beware anybody telling you that it's "lifetime" - that just means if you don't change it, things will break/wear out well outside of warranty.
@@bennyfactor It means that its lifetime will probably be short.
What oil are you referencing?
The Tesla drive unit has a recommended 100,000 mile oil change interval. On some of their early cars they also recommended oil changes every few years, but this was later dropped after it was determined that the overwhelming majority of lubricant deterioration was caused by distance run. Also remember that the primary causes of oil deterioration in a combustion engine are contamination from combustion products, high temperatures and the oil being hammered by high pressure during the combustion stroke. None of these apply to EVs. @@bennyfactor
