  • Rapper and writer Dessa came up with an unconventional approach to get over heartbreak. She describes how she worked with a neuroscientist to try to get her brain to fall out of love with her ex -- and shares wisdom about romance that she gained along the way. This talk was filmed at TEDxWanChai.

That's frightening. Did you know people can die from broken hearts? I'm sure they must have had some kind of underlying concern that was unknown. Be careful ❤

I guess you can't hide you're attracted to someone, but you can make it go away. Its actually a way of doing this, without a neuroscientist. It "kinda" works like an interuption, you stop yourself from endulging in the painful part of loss and betrayal. I've succsessfully trained myself to keep the positive parts, and forget the bad. In other words, I don't stop the feelings of love and attraction. Thats the good stuff, and really, I'd like to keep it. But I do stop the feelings of sorrow and pain. The way to do this, is to train yourself to focus on explanations on why you can't think about the negative parts anymore. The trick though, for me, is to find the right answers to counterpart this emotional stress. It could be as easy as a moral explanation, like, if the other part was married, it is wrong in so many ways, you should not think of it at all. If you are a christian, it could be the obedient to God part that stops your tracks, or just pure logic. It could be a spiritual one. Like, if you two would not spend time with in heaven, you should not waste time thinking of this person while you are alive. Anyhow, this makes me smile when I meet them, and the negative stoff is gone. 😂❤

Here is the secret: If you can daydream with dread, you can daydream with hope.
Whatever was last causing you worry, invite it back. Now, draft another ending to the story. One where you triumphed. One where it was possible.
It doesn’t matter if you believe it or not right now. Daydreams never need the validation of future proof; they exist only in this moment, but they do have a great impact on your outlook. Why not allow your mind to create new mental pathways that serve you?

One of the key takeaways from the video is the importance of self-reflection and awareness in managing our feelings of love and attraction. As a coach, I often work with clients to help them identify their emotional patterns and develop strategies for managing their emotions in healthy and constructive ways. By being open and honest with ourselves and our partners, we can create the conditions for healthy and fulfilling relationships that are based on mutual respect and understanding.
*I'm really happy to see that someone have same passion like me because I'm also making this type of videos to make your life productive and meaningful*
