- Back to an "A" Rated Driver in GT7 (PSVR2) and How I am Going to Stay Here (Hopefully) - In this video I am back to an 'A' rated driver in Gran Turismo 7 and this time I am approaching it differently than the last time I was here. We are racing in PSVR2 as always and we are headed to Interlagos for Daily Race B. I'll discuss the strategy I will be using to hopefully stay here and move up the ladder which can also help those at lower lobbies as well. This is a 5 lap race for GT4 cars and this track allows for some really close racing!

Nice job! Great advice as always for the casual racers. I know there's a lot of streamers out there that just dominate and have been in lobbies with those people and it's crazy and I've definitely wrecked too many times to count because I'm over driving. It's those times that I just worry about consistency that I actually gain a spot or two and someone up front or several people up front make mistakes and my DR either stays the same or it goes up slightly but like you said, it's a great day when the DR does not go down lol.
Always happens to me more when I get to 'A'. I just try to push too hard, and it never ends well.
i’ve found myself when i’m in a C lobby i’m always in contention to get a win but the B lobbies im quite content in where i start, i think now i’m nearly middle B rating m gonna pick and choose the races i do, i can definitely get upto A if i know the circuit really well and i grind it for a day, i do love racing online with my psvr2 but it’s really nerve racking sometimes 😂
gratz on getting back to A man, it’s really good to see others who are competitive online using a psvr2 😃😃💪
I grinded pretty hard this week to feel comfortable on this track. In the past, I have been pretty bad at it.
@@thecasualracinggamer it’s a hard circuit daily race B imo, so many places you can end your race, that’s without the rammers trying to take you out 😂

Only listened to the first 43 seconds of your segment, Going to sleep now and will watch the rest tomorrow and comment further. I have only gone from C to D to back up to C to B to almost A, but never yet been A. Will get your take on things and see if it can apply to me. Do understand that when you go up in Rating you first have to go against all the B & C SR rated drivers. UGH!😩 then you can play with S drivers😊
You can do the Daily A to easily get your SR up without worrying about your DR.
I am low BS, I am not quite quick enough yet, (I dropped back into C but seemed to do well and got promoted within four races) but I remember your advice about just enjoying it. As long as I race clean, I am happy.
Dropping down a level is great to get some good finishes before being promoted back up.
I've come to hate this track simply because the tests that run on it tend to have super fast cars that require super fast reflexes & focus. Takes me forever to gold on them. Congrats on the A again! I need to start working on my rating. Never been above C S.
You can definitely get to a B! You got this.
The GTR is so forgiving!
Started with the McLaren, then went to the Ferrari and then ended up with the GT-R. It felt the best.

Iv done 40 races im top end of B rated, I don’t race much but my goal isn’t to pass ppl it’s just to have a clean race and try not to lose places, that’s not by blocking just driving defensive, but if I get someone who’s driving hard to pass I let them pass

As you come from PC have you tried hooking up SIM hub to GT7? Not really pushed the dailies much as been playing around hooking that up.. interesting stuff, mostly that I was told tyres don't play a part in daily qualifying.. telemetry says different, they might not wear but they definitely heat up..
I have not used SimHub. I assume if the tires are heating up, it must happen pretty quickly when you start and stay there? I don't think there is any advantage to resetting after running a few qualifying laps, is there?
@@thecasualracinggamerdefinitely try it, super easy to setup and adding bass shakers etc makes the game come alive.

@@thecasualracinggamer I did 3 laps of Fuji and they were up 10deg going into turn 1 after the ridiculously long straight, more stable by then. I'd say they are too cold on lap one you are more likely to get a better lap from lap 2 onwards.. they were 68deg on lap 1 and 78 at the end of lap 3.. if true to life the optimal for a medium race tyre is 85deg.. basically don't restart unless you have a penalty which trashes the next lap especially at Fuji
@@clacky78 currently I have 4 small puck ones at each corner and a larger one on the back of my seat for shifts. Really transformative, games feel dead without them now.
I thought DR only went up if you position above 8th?
Not necessarily, depends on the overall strength of the lobby, I've been in some lobbies where p 11th will gain DR because the top 7/8 drivers were A+ rated and I'm a middle level A. I've even seen a B driver that somehow made it to an A and A+ lobby and they're gaining DR at p11 and 12 sometimes.
What David said. So you don't need to always fight to finish in the top 8, and if you look in this video, P8 actually dropped DR! There were two 'B' rated drivers in this lobby. It would have been bad for me if they would had finished in front of me.
