  • This is the 20th episode of our Project Clara, 1970 Ford Mustang restomod project and we get to work on the 351 Cleveland build.
This week Steve @ Barker Machine, takes us along as he bores the cylinders, shaves the caps and line hones the block as we get ready for assembly.
If you're a machinist or someone who works with engine builds (especially 351 Cleveland's) then you need to watch this episode! Subscribe to our channel to get notifications when new episodes are released!
    * Special Thanks to Steve & Barker Machine & Fab for being such a great partner with this build and allowing us to come in and record as much as we'd like to of the process. We highly recommend him and his team for all your engine build/tuning needs.

I could watch that stuff all day! Machine shop stuff is where the magic happens in my book. Thanks for this!

Thank you for watching. I've learned a ton just on the few times that I've been at his shop and really enjoy seeing it all get done myself. I'm excited for the next steps.

So cool to see this step in the build. Old school equipment too. Loved it. Thank you for sharing this.

PowerPlay Engines, thanks for watching and sharing the kind words. We really appreciate. Steve's shop @ Barker Machines is definitely a great one. Tons of old tools and machines still doing the important work. Cheers!

Hi Matt. Thank you for watching. You're right. The history with the machinery and knowledge in his shop is incredible. A dying art for sure. More to come on the work with her.

That's awesome that they are not only keeping you in the loop, but let you come and film them working on it as well!

Thanks for watching and sharing. We appreciate you. Yes, it's important to me for any shop we partner with, the relationship is a great one as I prefer it to not be just a money exchange situation. Show me, educate me and you'll earn my forever business.

Only 10% of all 1970 351 Cleveland motors were 4 V (4 barrel). It has been proven by dyno testing that a 2 V is better for the street use and a 4 barrel is better for the track!

Howard, thank you for watching our episodes and we hope you continue through the rest of the journey. We learned the same after more research. Definitely happy with what we have and can't wait to have it all back together. Thank you for sharing!
