I saw it on Tuesday and it was definitely a big upgrade over the first. Long Live Tigger!
It seems crazy to me that you can watch movies like this in a theater. I live in a decent sized city, but all the theaters just play the same big studio releases.
No sign of a cinema release here in the UK where I am... crazy considering it's a british film!! Keeping my fingers crossed we get a wide UK release. They have only shown it in London so far :(
I made my friend go with me to go see this since we saw the first together. Drove half hour through a literal snowstorm to see it😅 and I definitely liked it more than the first. Definitely a fun and memorable experience to see with friends and getting some adult beverages at the concessions beforehand helps a lot for a movie like this😂 it was also fun to see it on the big screen since we don’t get a lot of movies like this in our small town 8 screen theatre😅 I do wish this had some camp in it but either way this is right up my alley and I can’t wait for the other movies in this universe😍😂

Once again, I strongly recommend staying away from this movie at all cos- I'M KIDDING!! I'm kidding, Emma. I saw it last night, and called me crazy, but I actually enjoyed this quite a bit. Yeah, it's not "great" by any means, like that monologue you mentioned was pretty bad, and I do wish that the film didn't take itself so seriously, but where it makes that up for me were the performances from Scott Chambers and the monsters, some of the cool-looking visuals, and the bloodthirsty carnage that was shown on screen, like when Pooh uses his chained bear trap like Scorpion in Mortal Kombat. That shit was awesome, I thought!

So, I had a Pooh bear when I was little that I really loved. My favorite song (along with ‘Puff The Magic Dragon’) was ‘House at Pooh Corner’ by Kenny Loggins. I have really fond, warm memories of that time. Do you think these films would bring back some of those innocent memories of mine? Thanks Emma, you’re the best 💛

I generally agree with you on 98% on your reviews... I TOTALLY disagree with you ON THIS ONE! I HATED the first one so went into this one with zero expectations... I was VERY entertained by Pooh 2. I think they listened to all the well deserved criticism of the first film and got it right this time. After seeing the teaser trailer for Bambi: The Reckoning and this film, I am excited for the POOHNIVERSE!

Never been in a video that posted just under a minute ago.
I feel like if the makers had stayed with the mindset of keeping it the same campy feel it may have achieved the “you know what you are seeing” success of a funny low budget horror.
I will say it was interesting seeing their Poohniverse concept and seeing creators really excited about their work without taking it too seriously.
The fact that there is a second one is a travesty, but hey at least they know they aren’t a real run for theaters and are just special screenings. Thank you for your sacrifice even though we all knew it would be awful
Late night with the devil was a perfect film
Totally agree
I liked it better than the first but there are problems to be sure. I will say I've seen more expensive movies in the slasher genre that I like a lot less. Was impressed with the gore, practical effects, acting, and cinematography (relative to other low budget slashers). What was most disappointing was the story, which was downright confusing at times, and the editing which felt like certain scenes were shown out of sequence. I've yet to see anything top Terrifier in this category, but that movie had Art the Clown and a retro feel which was enhanced by its low budget. Moreover, while those films felt claustrophobic at times, this one felt all over the place in terms of characters, tone, and use of locations.

Was also disappointed that the filmmakers didn't make more use of the IP and even drifting away from fantasy toward sci fi.
Oh Emma, I usually fall pretty close to your taste in movies, but I really disagree on this one.
I liked the first one just for the whole "it's so bad it's good" thing and the fun theatrical experience/crowd.
But I absolutely loved this one. It was fun, campy, cheesy, gory, but with a solid story, good acting, and surprisingly proficient cinematography, color grading, and really good practical effects/deaths. I especially liked the inclusion of meta elements and horror tributes. All while retaining its B-movie charm.
But as per usual in the horror community, we all see things differently and that's ok.

It had 100% RT with 7 reviews I think it’s safe to say not many ppl watched it and the 7 who did were just being generous with their reviews. It doesn’t mean anything since it’s at 50% now 😂

I usually agree with your takes but I hard disagree about this one. I thought this one was much better than the first one and was such a fun time!! I had a blast with it. Agree though that Owl stole the show. From his first onscreen moment I was obsessed with him lol

Universal cancelled their monsterverse films because they were not making money but B-movie cheese doesn't care about box office numbers. Bring on the horror Bambi lol
I really enjoyed it for what it was. I thought it's over sincerity added it's own version of camp to it that I found entertaining. I'm still amazed they got a high quality actor like Simon Callow for a bit part. I did think the first one had a more unforgiving tone, where this one felt lighter. Overall, I'd give it a 6/10. It definitely gave me what I wanted from it.
I had a great time at this. Bring on the Poohiniverse!

I'm Intrigued by an evil Bambi movie. Deers can go from adorable animals to frighting monsters at the drop of a hat.
This is supposed to spite Disney but in the end it going to end up sucking
An improvement over the first one, though maybe not by much. I equated Pooh to Michael Myers then (he's even more so now) and Piglet to Jason Voorhees; now we have a Freddy Kruger Tigger and a Pinhead Owl.
This movie had better "story", effects, gore and plot twists, and an overall sense of fun with its material. But that doesn't change the fact that it's derivative, predictable, unevenly acted and at times, too poorly lit to see the carnage. But hey, I'm almost excited for the Poohniverse now. A generous 6/10.

There's no way these movies are making enough money to keep making them. Who's watching them. Also sad when there are genuinely great films out there that flop and deserve a follow up, but slop like this is being made.
The first movie had a budget of 100k and made 5M at the box office. Shocking but yeah that’s where the money is coming from.
It’s why they have a bigger budget for the 2nd Blood and Honey movie.
I doubt this one will make 5M as well especially when it’s only screenings for 3 days
Love your review! I agree with you that the first one was better even though it was still an awful movie. This was even worse! I felt there was more suspense in the first movie. This was just a complete gorefest, and I'm like you, I could not believe I sat through this movie. Let alone, by myself on opening night! I was surprised that I was the only one in my theater watching this movie. It honestly did not make me feel good about myself! 🤣

I kept hearing you say the first one was silly and campy and self aware but God, I have to disagree. I thought it was none of those things when it SHOULD have been. I thought it took itself really seriously and wasn't funny or campy at all. Which makes me think this one is gonna be much worse.

Should of posted this 2 days ago when it was 100% instead of now when it's at 50%, it's been gradually going down since Tues evening
It was definitely an improvement fs but still not enough for me to say it was so bad it’s good. The first movie was a 1/10 the sequel is a 4.5/10 for me. If they keep improving these movies they will be sm fun especially the Pinocchio movie I love killer dolls and Pinnochio’s revenge is such a guilty pleasure so to have another horror take on the character with that drawing of what the puppet might look like is exciting.
I miss movies about dumb hot people dying as gruesomely as possible, just entertaining and fun. Not everything needs to be an awards bait meditation on grief. Very excited to see this and hope the Poohinverse is as ridiculous and entertaining as it sounds.

I think I liked it more just because of the look and the script writing. Don't get me wrong, I think it's terrible but I did not have any kind of camp fun with the first one like you seemed to so this was just more of the same but slightly better looking and acted and paced 😀HAAAATED Tigger. You can see what they are trying to rip-off and I think they just failed.

How the filmmakers expect to build a franchise around all this horse hockey is beyond me. I'm just hoping for one more Godzilla or Agatha Christie film after seeing the last one. Hope you enjoy "Late Night With The Devil". I had a blast watching it.

These films are embarrassing to the horror and British film industry. The amount of money these productions have received is head scratching. So many first timer filmmakers are largely ignored and unable to get access to funding, instead this does. Its infuriating.
Because it makes money. There’s already a fanbase, that will have them making these for a decade.
It’s why so many get their first break in film, within the horror genre.
Trash sells. Primark, McDonalds, RealityTV and now Public Doman XYZ.
